We have been very happy with this printer. We had a low level HP for years and hated it so we wanted to upgrade to something a little better to give hp one more chance. It is faster and worked better connection with the Bluetooth on our phones that we used to have an issue with. It's been very reliable so far.

It prints well, prints fromt and back, only needs 2 cartridges tri color and black ink, set up is very easy, starts up quick.

Wow, wow, wow, out of all the printers I've ever owned. This one is super fast, easy to set up.It does use in pretty quickly though.I printed ten pages and it said low ink i think it just came with a defective cartridge

The 6165e seems to be a good "updater printer" for those, in particular, who have older printers (I had an Envy 5660) and light printing/scanning needs. It does everything you need for occasional printing and has the HP ink option that I personally find quite convenient. Users with heavy demands probably won't like its printing speed and its lack of automatic two sided printing. But, I didn’t find these to be limiting factors. Set-up was fairly simple, a vast improvement over earlier versions, but did take about an hour. I found the scanner fine but not the online Smart software. I experienced major difficulties trying to scan using this online interface. Another hour or more. For PCs, you can download from HP the older software (HP Scan?) which is the exact same interface previous Envy users may be familiar with and all is fine. The guidance for this is poor. For some reason, they moved the scanner orientation point (for pictures for example) from the lower right to the upper left and there was, again, no clear guidance for this. It took four tries, guesses to figure this out. Printing from a phone app I've found to be easy using the HP app so kudos there. But the scanner feature on the app is limited in some of its options (i.e., setting DPI clarity for photo scanning, which tells you to go to your computer to adjust these settings). Would I buy this again? Definitely. And recommend it to not only friends, but those of you out there in cyberspace that have similar printing and scanning needs.

Printer/Scanner is a pretty decent machine for the money. However, the HP software associated with this printer is horrible. Tried to connect printer software with an Apple PC, my Envy laptop and my iPhone. Made the mistake of pairing the printer first with the Apple PC. My wife's Apple PC was listed as a compatible PC for this printer. Software installation started well, but got to the second to last screen advising that "installation was complete but finalizing setup" and the software got hung up and just kept spinning. HP on-line help was not able to figure out what was causing the hang-up, and HP software would not let me install printer on my HP Envy since it was already listed as installed on the Apple PC. Other on-line help was also not helpful. It took me two weeks to figure out why this was being hung up, and once installation was finalized, I was able to easily install the printer on both my HP Envy laptop and iPhone. Wish I had initially tried to set it up with my HP laptop versus Apple PC. Printer has worked well since getting it finally set up, but came very close to returning it to the seller and reinstalling my older HP printer which was on its last legs.

Excellent Printer. Easy to set up and easy to use Small in height, although it is a little larger than I was anticipating.

This printer is very easy to use. The profile is slim, which I love the lights on. It are not a terrible nuisance like some other printers. The only thing I would say is that I wish they would make it in black not just white, but besides that it’s a golden.

Able to set up without much difficulty. Prints well. Printer is a little noisy. Did not get the instant ink so cannot review that part of it.
