I went to my local best buy and saw that this was all they had in stock and everything else was on back order for about a week or so. So I had no other choice and decided to buy it. I'm not a fan of ink used in this device (HP 67 to be exact). The tri-color is one cartridge and then black for the other. They have given me problem with an early printer I had from HP. I feel this one might do the same. I've printed a few documents and a few photos so far and they are pretty decent not flashy or such. The color of the printer is nice but there is no screen. I kinda like the led light bar it has in the front. The setup sucks you have to have a smart phone and download the HP smart Application (available on the Apple App store and Google Play Store) and make sure you have a reliable wireless connection (Wi-Fi). It's not possible to setup through a computer connection it must be setup first by mobile phone.

HP has totally changed their operating system. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy any HP printer. Remember the disaster of windows 95. This is worse. There is a non responsive set of systems that don’t work half the time. You can reset the printer. I’ve oriented out the symbol to function page. When it jams, you can’t reset it after fixing the paper jam. Of you look at the three pictures. The printer won’t print and you can’t figure out why. I’m pretty tech savvy and this new system is useless. It won’t last a year and will be scrapped and you will end up pitching this printer. Try finding tech tech support and all you get is basic program apps. When they ask if your Problem is solved and you say NO. All you get it a thank you note. Think I just threw away $200. I’m done with HP. I almost never lost a review. So take it for what it is worth.

I am not sure if there’s a better brand, but there has been some times where the paper gets not necessarily jammed, but just stops printing and I have to start over or a print halfway and prints to it out unfinished.

I understood how to get it to work, but it just would not properly connect. I could inky use it through the phone on my app. I also signed up for Instant Ink and ended up receiving refills before I actually needed them. I received notice to return the refills. The whole situation is disappointing and inconvenient.

And it always has a bright blue light on. Why do I need to be able to find my printer in the dark? Because of those two things, I would not recommend this printer if you have to work or sleep in the same room with it.
