The printer is nice and compact. The print quality is is great. The only issue I had was keeping it consistently connected to the WI-FI. You go to use the printer the next day after using it successfully and you find that the printer can’t be found. I reinstalled the printer and it seems to working better now.

When the printer prints, it prints well. It's also easy to use, especially from the app. But I have continued issues with the printer staying connected to the internet, as well as printing from my Chromebook. I often have to delete the printer and add it again. And when I say often, I mean several times a week.
Initially there were no problems printing from my phone and most recently that has given me issues.
The only thing I am currently liking about this printer is the app which allows you to print, scan, and send faxes. Unfortunately faxes can't be received.
The other feature I appreciate, which has nothing to do with the printer but is an HP service is the Instant Ink. I appreciate having ink sent in advance of running out. It is free for the first 6 months but I will be continuing the service at the end of the promotion.
And I also like the
And I remembered to write this review because the printer is down again. I have had it since December and this will be my third call to customer service because the printer won't print and won't connect.
Do not recommend, not even in the least bit.

It's too soon for me to evaluate the equipment, will come back in a couple of months to update this. So far -
Pros: printer overall quality is good, prints are clear and colors are vivid. Lower tray stores paper, so far no jams. Feeder tray on top works fine. I have used the copy, print and scan functions with no complaints up to now.
Cons: * Installation is bumpy, the instructions booklet has a misprint and the whole process is not very intuitive. However, once we pass this part the operation is good and easy. * The power button is in the back of the machine and you have to look with your eyes to find it, it is not something that you just feel by touch, as it is flat. Same with the reset button. This is ok, but a bit of a hassle. Eventually I learned to "feel" for it. * The power cord sticks out about 1.5 inches from the back, which means that you cannot push the printer against the wall. It would have been more practical and to use an L-shaped plug that bends downward, also to protect the printer's port itself from accidental damage. * The paper tray at the bottom holds very few paper sheets (can't remember the number); could have been a bit bigger.

This printer has a beautiful compact design and color. Print quality is great. It was easy to set up. The Instant Ink program is economical. The only downside is the blue light that is continually on, but you can get used to it.

I have enjoyed using this printer! I have not used the other functions yet, but as for the printer aspect of it, it has been awesome!
It is simple to learn and that's speaking from someone who is technically challenged. The prints come out beautifully, but it can be better! I have made over 150 colored prints and it is still going strong.

Works well. easy to use both wifi and wired, however, it's difficult to go from one to the other. Seems to use quite a bit of ink but printing/copying is good quality. I wish the home screen had written instructions in it but the print out I kept at hand was fine too. Great for the price!

Bought this unit for my mom-in-law (85 yr old). only print out aboud 10-15 pages a month. Sits for days at times and still prints clear docs, not clogging. Also worth the $4 a month for the in cartridge plan, ships to mom automatically when low ink! Easy for me, easy for her. Only gripe (I like buttons) is the functions/settings are somewhat dependent on software, does have buttons but only for basic tasks and no screen. Clear scans. Lastly I like the e-print feature, can print her a doc from my PC at home.

Easy to use. Easy to setup.
This multifunction printer is great for home use.
Ink install was easy. Just follow the program steps and you are set.
Setup on Android Pixel 3XL was a snap. Setup on my kids chrome books was easy.
The 6 months of HP+ required me to enter my payment info. Ok. Was not too fond of that but at least it will cover me for 6 months. Fyi I have another printer enrolled in HP+ and they just sent me ink for that other printer. I did not have to do anything. Pretty nice. And it was within my 6 months so it was free. Nice.
HP did finally hear my complaint which was to fix their software bugs. I just got an update on Android and it looks like the interface is much better and remembers my phone or kids chromebook when updates occur and does not make it a pain to look for the printer again and again. So thanks HP.
The printer itself is sleek. It has a nice LED light and has a modern look.
Print quality it decent for an ink jet. Based on size of inkjet cartridges you will go through ink cartridge pretty fast so be aware of this as part of your consideration.
Based on what I have seen, I would recommend this product for simple home use. Hope HP keeps up with their software interface.
Only con was that my first print out the paper jammed. It might have been operator error. After I cleared it I printed out several other items and no jam.

Small, compact and efficient for home use. The set up was fairly easy. I didn't need a YouTube video to get it going even though the salesman suggested it if I had problems. He also owned one which was a plus having experience with the printer. The color is good and the options for ink are also good. I have a HP PC so maybe it helped with the start up.

Love the HP 6455e. Compact unit with all the modern tools I need in my new home office. Setup took less 10 mins. Easy to use via the HP app. Also used the app to setup automatic Instant Ink. Loving the new printer and ink delivery service.

I’ve had this printer for 7 months now. Overall, it’s a pretty decent printer for the price. The print quality is perfect for documents, and decent but not great for photos. The instant ink deal feels like a gimmick, so I’ll probably cancel my subscription soon. The printers wifi isn’t that consistent, so I regularly find myself setting it up over ans over again. It doesn’t have a display so every time you need to adjust something, you have to print an info page. I would not buy this same model again, but I probably would still consider an HP.

We enjoy this printer, but it does not have a fax feature.
The speed is moderate, This item does have a feeder.
I found learning the various colors that tell you how to trouble shoot frustrating. I like that the printer will print instructions. This printer will not work inside college dorms. We are still trying to figure out why. So far it is a compatibility issue.

It's fast, it works. My only issue is the flashing color LEDs in the front aren't easy to decipher. It seems like this will occasionally disconnect from the network, flash funny, wake up and be connected. I don't know. It works through. I had to reconnect it once after the install, but since then it's stayed connected. Maybe that's how it's supposed to work.

For the price you can't beat this printer. Keep in mind I have not yet needed to replace the ink cartridges so can't speak to how expensive that is. Set up was easy and it does everything a printer should do.

Decided to stay with HP as we were replacing a very old HP printer. Print quality is good and we did not need a lot of options. This had fairly simple set up. Need to figure out how to put it on standby so it is not "lit up" 24/7. Having to install an App on phone to air-print was not expected, but seems to work fine.

A very moody printer

This printer works fine but it is a real pain, nuisance, inconvenient and very inconsistent tool. I guess if you print things everyday it probably would work better. We don't print everyday so I constantly have to turn it off and then back on. There is no power button so I have to pull the plug out of the back, give it a few seconds and then plug it back in. I called the Geek Squad about this and was told that wireless printers are moody and go on and offline constantly even though mine is right next to my router. I could hardwire it to my computer but was told I'd then lose my wireless capabilities. And so almost every time I go to use this printer I must pull the power cord out of the back of it and then plug it back in. While there are worse things that have happened in my life it does cost us coupons sometimes. My wife will click on a site to print a coupon and nothing will register on our printer. Some sites only allow you one chance to print a coupon so once you have done that you can't do it again and then she is just out of luck because our computer is offline. The only way to make sure it is online is to click the HP Smart app on our computer and check the status. The blue wifi light on the actual printer is on all the time which supposedly indicates we are online but we usually aren't. So if you don't mind a moody printer and having to go through certain steps almost every time you want to use it then this is a fine printer. It prints very well but it just doesn't always want to print. Had I not paid $130 I would have trashed it and bought another. Oh well.
