Could have been just the one I bought, my last HP printer lasted over ten years and only failed due to a power surge.

Don’t believe the hype about it being easy to connect with the app. Your phone will not “find the printer”, you will have to restart the printer, connect by IP address or some other aggravating way. Ours may end up in the garbage du to aggravation factor.

Setting up instant ink was another story but got worked out. Agent was very helpful. scan function especially like. Would highly recommend for home printer.

HP Envy 7858: Amazing Features, Convoluted Setup

Amazingly configurable networking capabilities. It should be a 5. But . . success at completing the setup process is very elusive. Because of its home-photo marketing pitch, primary customers are "retail" consumers. Successful setup depends on a deep understanding of the interconnectivity of the printer touch-screen, cellphone bluetooth setup app, RJ-45 router options, and the experience to selectively choose from an interleaved multi-source collection of competing instructions. Rated a 2 because few retail purchasers will succeed at setup. Helpdesk and returns costs to Best Buy and HP will be huge.
