However, I am grossly disappointed as this printer drinks ink. I have had it 2 weeks now and have twice replaced ink, even though I am not printing a lot. I might as well buy the one with the over-the-top prices for 4 inks that I do not have to replenish after every 50 pages.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer is going through so much ink. It concerns me that the cartridges you’ve received performed so poorly. The regular size cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 165 to 200 pages, and the XL sizes have estimates of as many as 600 pages. Unless you were printing extremely high-density prints, it does seem like you should have been able to print more.
Here are some things you can consider:
- If it appears that a cartridge was low on ink to begin with, or that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, I recommend that you contact the seller who sold you the items.

Here are some facts on ink use that might help you get more prints without too much extra effort:
- A high-density print (such as an image or graph) uses ink more quickly than a text-only document, particularly if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.

- Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer “park” so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.

Seems like it is a common problem with these series. You can't even fix it without unplugging and plugging it back. Stay away.

Cartridge doesn’t always connect and it could cause damage to the printer itself. I would not purchase this one again. Disappointed after my previous experience with this brand was so good.

I was very happy with the help but when I tried to scan my printer is telling me to install the software which I though Geek Squad already did.
