Love HP Desktops

I have an old HP desktop now, and waiting to set my new one up, until we are finished with my office remodel. The roof fell in on 1 side of the ceiling and fell on me. I don't want to set the new one up, until all the dust etc, is not in the room.
I love HP Desktops, as is all I have ever bought.
Thanks for a great product that runs a very long time.

Ridiculous design of the way SATA and BIOS work

The computer and BIOS are designed so that you cannot simply install Windows on a secondary SATA drive or boot from a SATA drive created on a different computer.
The only way around it is to remove the SSD that comes with the computer, attach a SATA drive and a bootable USB media, install windows on the SATA drive and then reconnect the original drive. Only after that BIOS will see both drives and allow you to choose boot sequence.
The sad part is that HP tech support (with you'll have to pay for since you're altering the original configuration) has no faint idea that this model works this way. I went through Tier-3, and none of the techs couldn't figure out the problem. They were surprised that the model and its BIOS designed differently from what we're used too. The HP site doesn't mention it either, and questions asked by other people remain unsolved.
It took me and my infrastructure friend two days to find the work around this ridiculous design. But, at least, you won't need to repeat it.
Otherwise, the computer is small, accurately made and quite powerful. Using DDR4 instead of DDR5 for RAM is a way to cheapen the system, however.

Cood Computer; not fond of included keyboard

So far, this computer seems to be performing nicely. I was not impressed by the included wireless keyboard, which had no identified PrtScn (print screen) key. Some other function keys were also difficult to find.
So, I am using a wired keyboard from a previous computer and that is working just fine,

The computer is fast, efficient, and runs Adobe Creative Cloud very well. I do have to say after a couple of weeks the lettering on keyboard is already wearing off.

Have had this tower several months and it is great -- fast, quiet, and glitch-free. It replaced an aging HP tower and improvements were striking. Love it.

Setting up the new computer has been very quick, easy and smooth. The HP Envy paired immediately with all the other components. It is fast, gives a great resolution on my new monitor. I haven't had a chance yet to use it for more complex work but am sure there will be no issues.

So far nice computer works well. I have used HP computers for years hope this one last as long as my previous ones have with no problems. I am not fond of Windows 11 but i know that has nothing to do with the computer.

Consumer Reports had this one rated its top mid grade computer and it does not disappoint. Very fast on the internet and does everything I want it too. Came with one month of McAfee anti virus and when that expires I can switch it to the included six months of Norton Anti Virus, Delivery was fast and efficent,

Easy to set up and use. I'm a senior citizen and haven't bought a new computer since Windows 7 was new. I thought buying and setting this up would be challenging, but it was simple enough. There are online unboxing videos if you get stuck.

This desktop has plentiful ram, more than what's out there, but lacks in hard drive/ssd add on capability, disappointed there. Overall, its a good desktop, does what you want, and gets away from HP's tiny C ssd drive and bigger HDD D drives most hp's offer, so that's a plus. Migration is challenging. I still haven't got it all right yet.
One thing also, get a new monitor. I didn't. Maybe things might be better.
