    I purchased this computer in September of 2022 and the hard drive is already failing. My tech took a look at it for me today and said, "I would back everything up immediately ... this thing may not start if you have to reboot it."

    This PC started randomly crashing on me multiple times a day a couple of weeks after I got it, with all sorts of random errors (PCI Express slot (which is empty), hard drive unresponsive, unexpected loss of power). A few times it appeared to be operational, but then it couldn't come out of sleep mode. I did a BIOS update but that didn't fix it. I also adjusted the power settings for the hard drive and CPU to prevent it from going into sleep or hibernation. Also no dice. And HP's support were thoroughly incompetent, couldn't even help troubleshoot it, and kept calling it a laptop. Very unimpressed. I recommend avoiding it. The ample bloatware it comes with is annoying. But these crashing issues are a deal-breaker.
