A portable PC with a large and beautiful display
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have you ever wished that your desktop PC could easily be moved around the house to work out of different rooms? If so, HP has your solution. The HP Envy Move combines the convenience of a laptop and the luxury of a large (23.8") QHD display. You can work out of your kitchen in the morning and then, with one hand, carry your work station to your home office for the afternoon. After using this for the past week, here are my thoughts. Pros: - The engineering/design is very impressive. From the carrying handle (see pictures) that conveniently magnetizes to the back of the screen, to the legs that automatically pivot out as you gently set the PC down at your desired location, you can tell that a lot of love and care went into this product. - The specs are nice for the price point of this system. Besides the beautiful QHD touch screen, you are getting 8 GB of RAM, a more than capable i5 processor, and a 512 GB solid state drive that provides you with incredibly fast boot up speed. - The rear pocket is a very cool design choice that allows you to slide in the included Bluetooth keyboard as you move from place to place. - The battery life has been good so far. I can easily go several hours without plugging in to power. The display is so big I frequently forget that it has a rechargeable battery and doesn't need to be plugged in! Cons: - While solid state drives have their benefits, the limited capacity will likely require you to use cloud storage or utilize an external drive at some point. 512 GB will fill up pretty quick these days, especially if you do any gaming or work with large video files. The included USB-C port will come in handy for speedy file transfers if you go with an external drive. - The portability of this PC is awesome, but the downside is that you are limited with your viewing angle. You cannot tilt this screen to give you the preferred viewing angle like you can with most monitors. You'll have to get creative with where you place it. Also keep in mind that this is not designed for travel. It's too big for that, but is easily moved from room to room in your home. Overall, this PC is a great buy. You get the best of both worlds when it comes to the portability of a laptop and the sense of having a nice large home work station. I absolutely love it.

A twist on mobile computing with a few flaws
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Envy Portable QHD Touch-Screen All-In-One computer is a really interesting and useful twist on today's computing. It's like the marriage of a laptop and a desktop all in one nicely crafted machine. Pros: - Portability is both a Pro and Con (see below for cons). You can literally charge the All-In-One up and take it anywhere you want to go. - The handle and what I refer to as "smart feet" are excellent; the the handle is comfortable and sturdy to carry the device and the feet snap out automatically when you place it on a hard surface (NOTE: the feet do NOT pop out if you place the machine on carpet!) - Performance is good - about what I expected with a Windows 11 Computer with the specs (8GB RAM, 512GB SSD). - While there is some "bloatware" on the machine when you first turn it on, it's not oppressive as I have seen with other brands of PCs running Windows. Cons: - HP really missed one key element for his concept of semi full-size computer with outstanding portability. There is no eSIM or SIM card -- so no mobile connectivity. WiFi only. This is a huge miss in my opinion as having cellular connectivity is key to mobility, especially if you are working with sensitive data (HIPAA, financials, etc.). A cellular modem would make this device outstanding - They combined keyboard/trackpad which can be snugly tucked int he pocked behind the screen leaves something to be desired. I understand why they designed it for portability, but I need a number pad. The trackpad is decent - but I am much more comfortable with a mouse and the must-have number pad. So, I have just been using a different keyboard and bluetooth mouse. - Windows 11 Home? This machine - if they are going to market it to people like me who are always on the go for work - really needs Windows 11 Pro. - Battery life is so-so. Not horrible, but it lasts a lot less time than I would have expected. So, all in all, I would recommend this for people looking for a unique way to have the mobility of a laptop with the screen of a desktop. If HP spec'd this up a bit with more RAM and cellular connectivity, five stars for sure.

Portable all-in-one desk top
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This will probably not replace your typical laptop, but it is a very handy device for moving around the house. Beautiful large, bright, color accurate, HD, touch display. 1 USB Type-A (thank you HP, I'm glad you included this), USB Type-C, and HDMI ports. Camera has a pretty decent display with a manual privacy shutter (thank you again), the mic on the hand tends to pick up on the "pop" sounds a little too much (tolerable, but it could use some work) then again I usually use a headset anyways. Speakers are amazing, as always in my experience with HP devices. Overall build is pretty solid. Feet pop in and out automatically when being lifted from or place on a surface. Handle at the top of the device secures with a magnet and is well made to last being hauled around. Pouch in the back is very convenient to hold the Bluetooth keyboard with built in track pad adding to the portability and all-in-one factor of the device. Battery is okay for what this is. It's not really meant for hauling further than your house so.... do you really need to worry about the battery? With basic web browsing usage I logged about 4 to 5 hours on medium/low brightness. Then tested how long it would last stream a movie on full brightness, which was almost 2 hours. It may have also been updating windows in the background while I was playing the video. Only two things that I would change on this device. One: I would like to see is an option for tilting the screen back a little. I've mainly been using this in my kitchen to look up recipes or stream. Using it while standing in front of it is a little awkward, but it is perfect for sitting at a desk or table. Two: Make the screen less glossy so there isn't as much glare if you decide to haul it outside on the patio. I will admit that this is a very interesting and unique device.

Great computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great computer. I wish it had a better graphics card and more RAM, but for the price it isn’t bad. Also, being able to unplug it and move it around and use it wherever makes it even better. The track pad takes a little getting used to.

Good, but a better keyboard would be nice.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had this for a few days, but it seems to be pretty good. The computer works well, nice graphics. The keyboard leaves a bit to be desired. It works OK, but is too much like a mini laptops, no home or end key, etc. It's touch pad seems pretty good if you are used to such, but I perfer a mouse. I added a Bluetooth mouse and it links up well. I like the option of being able to more the computer to different areas without needing to plug in. I sometimes want to show something to other family members with limited mobility and this makes that easy. I am very satisfied with this product.

Powerful computer - huge screen - portable!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this computer to bring between home and work and it has been great! Huge screen but still light enough to move around easily. The automatically retracting feet are very stable. Only wish it would have an ethernet port and not rely solely on wi-fi for internet connection.

Nice size.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right size for my desk. I like the lighter color than the black I had. I like it's thin taks up less space. Am still learning it. If I could add anything to it I would add a few more ubs ports.
