Not the quality I was expectinf
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m really disappointed in this printer. I started a small business and one of my items is printed custom stickers. I did a lot of research on printers and spent a good chunk on this one based on what it was advertised for. I’ve tried multiple different paper types and this printer leaves lines on EVERY print. I’m really mad about it and do not recommend this printer!!

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry to learn that your printer has rendered prints of such poor quality. I can easily understand why seeing lines on all the prints of stickers that you make for your small business would be quite a jarring surprise, especially after you’d done extensive research on what printer to buy. I want to help you remedy this situation, so I’ll offer some resources and information aimed at making that happen.
First, I recommend following the steps listed in this guide to improving print quality, including faded or streaked prints, color or black ink not printing properly or at all, and blurred or fuzzy text:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05541385
If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

Great Printer, Easy to use and setup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was Easy To Install And Set Up Wireless. Fairly quiet when operating and prints pretty fast. I like the fact you can print on both sides of page instead of wasting paper, which only some printers can do. Pictures print out clear regardless of the type of paper you are using. Glossy Photo Paper will all give you the best result for photos. Unit is fairly low profile so would work well in a choice of spaces. The gold accents are a nice touch and not overblown, and gives it a bit of character. I would definitely recommend this. We will see how the ink holds up over time.

Posted .Hello,
I’m sorry to hear of the printing quality issues you have been facing with this printer. This is far from the reliable and satisfactory experience we would like to offer our customers.
I would suggest using your Print-Scan-Doctor app, which automatically scans your PC and the connection to your printer for problems, identifies where the issues come from and then resolves them for you. Through this you can often improve your printing experience quite easily:
- HP Print and Scan Doctor: support.hp.com/topic/printscandoctor
If the issue is not resolved with this, I would recommend contacting our customer support. We are always here for you and would love to help you resolve this problem. You can always reach us via your preferred contact method here: hp.com/contactHP

Very disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was great until it died in less than two years. I was very happy with the print quality. It connected and printed over wifi seamlessly. The only things I did not like was the tiny screen is not very "touch" friendly and sometimes it moved from one option to the next slowly, but generally I was very happy with it. I purchased June 1, 2020 and in March of 2022, it is no longer working. It is so new, it still has the stickers on it. I started getting a strange error message saying the ink cartridge was not connecting to the printer. I bought new ink and spent literal hours on the phone with HP until all potential efforts to troubleshoot were exhausted and was told to buy a new one. I also attempted to get help from the geek squad but was told it would cost as much as buying a new one. So I am out of luck and disappointed.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HORRIBLE! the only good thing is the instant ink deal. I have had nothing but trouble and thought it would get better if got help setting it up. It did not. It stops printing mid page. I have wasted over 20 sheets of paper trying to print something this morning. I guess i'm a slow learner. I will not buy HP product again. One star is for ink supply. It printed fine off and on but have had ongoing problems. Customer service? Would love to have some help but so far, NOTHING!

Good for photos, not good for paper prints
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.**This printer was provided for an early review, thus as of the time of this review, some features may not work as it should. The Envy Photo 7155 lives up to its name, as your typical prints on paper will likely be envious of their photo counterparts, as they look much worse. As I’m told, this printer is optimized for photo prints, which turned out vibrant and crisp, but when printing on paper, the results are subpar with lines evenly spaced out throughout the print. There are ways to workaround that (described below), but you shouldn’t have to do it. Black and white texts prints are fast and sharp. Scanning speed is decent, but lacks all but basic post processing. You have two choices of software, HP Smart app or HP Print Assistant, each with their own quirks. I prefer the HP Print since it has more options for scanning. The other issues I’ve had with this printer is that it’s quite loud, shakes, and have a terrible touchscreen. It uses a tri-color cartridge, which will likely end up with one color running out first. IMO, a specialized printer that can’t do basic printing isn’t going to cut it, especially at this price point. Even my cheaper, 7 year old Epson printer outperforms this printer in almost every way. Good: -Text prints fast and clear -Photo prints looks great -Scan is decent -Design is nice Bad: -Prints on plain paper have lines throughout. -Loud and shakes while printing -Touch screen is small and unresponsive -Uses single cartridge for 3 colors -Post scan correction is lacking Setting up: Out of the box, the printer looked nice. It has the same color scheme as my HP Spectre laptop, which I appreciated. After powering it on, I was prompted to download the app to set up the printer. I ran into my first problem in that it didn’t detect my printer and I had to set it up manually using the printer’s screen. Not a big deal, it’s a few simple steps to setup the network, but the 2 inch touch screen is just awful to use. It’s so unresponsive to touch and scroll that it feels like using an old touch screen device from 10 years ago! After detecting my printer, I had a choice of either downloading the HP Smart app from the Microsoft store, just software and drivers, or just drivers for basic functions. First I installed the Smart app. The app allowed me to print either documents or photos, scan, and run maintenance and printer reports. I thought the app was too simple, especially for the scan option. I downloaded the HP Printer software and driver instead, and that gave me more options to play around with. Great, printer setup and ready to use. Printing, scanning, and copying: This printer is quite loud, making a lot of clicking and grinding sounds during operation. It also shakes badly while printing. Better to have a sturdy table or stand because this will shake the whole table like a mini earthquake. I had this on the same table as my desktop and immediately moved it. As the name implies, this printer’s strong point is that it’s optimized to print photos, and on that it met my expectations. A 4x6 printed relatively quick, and looks more vibrant and sharper than my previous printer, but it doesn’t have the same sheen. Darker colors will have a matte finish which is very noticeable in the light. I wouldn’t call it studio quality, but it’s passable. Now we get to my biggest issue with this, the printing on “plain paper.” When doing so, I would get equally spaced lines. If printing big blocks of color, these lines are even more noticeable. It looked as if the printhead was defective, but after changing them out, I still got the same results. The workaround is that I have to set it to best quality and choose a different paper type from within the printer settings. Doesn’t matter which one, as long as it’s not “plain paper.” However this will waste more ink and may over saturate the paper. I’m told that this is typical for this line of printers. On the other hand, text prints out fast and clear. Scanning takes about 15 seconds, but afterwards, the image processing were very limited with the only options to adjust are rotation, brightness, contrasts, and midtones. Without correction, scans tends to be faded and washed out. The auto exposure option didn’t look great either. My old Epson has a much better software for their scans. Copying has the same line issue as with printing on paper. It takes a bit longer than a typical copier. Black and white looks about as what you would get from a Xerox, while colors will look like a typical printout. *I’ve attached some printouts that I scanned back in. Notice the white lines every ¾ in. The scans are faded, but it’s more prominent in the actual prints. If you need an all-in-one printer, I can’t fully recommend this printer. It does one thing well, while lacking in the rest. Maybe if you only print photos, but even then there are other printers that can do that while being able to print nice color prints as well.

Easy setup, Great prints
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok from unboxed to my first print in less than 20 minutes. During setup you have to download an app to your smartphone. To connect to the printer and finalize the setup. Very easy. This app also makes it very convenient to scan photos/documents to e-mail from your phone. No need for a computer. I have attached a photo I printed out. Very good quality. No need to run to your local drug store when you can print photos of this quality at home fast and easy. The printer it self isn't loud at all and prints documents fast. Has a easy to use touchscreen on the front. Regular operations were easy, like loading paper and installing ink cartridges. Over all I think this will fit most peoples needs for printing at home. Very nice all-in-one.

Junk
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every photo I print it leaves lines in it. I have changed cartridges and done everything you can imagine to try and fix it. If I still had the box I would return it but unfortunetly threw it away. It doesn't matter if it's paper, vinyl, gloss, matte, different brands...pictures never print without lines.

Easy set up, excellent quality, great features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer has printing, copying, and scanning capability. It can connect wirelessly to your network or you can print to it without connecting to a network using Wifi Direct. In addition, you can get the free "HP Smart" phone app which enables you to send photos directly from your phone to your printer. Another great feature is that it has the capability for you to send a document to print via your email by attaching the document and emailing it directly to the printer’s email address. You can also change the printer's email address to something easier to remember. A feature that I really like is adding your printer to HPConnected.com. You will need your Claim Code which can be found in one of the menu selections in the display on the front of the printer. Packaging: The printer came well packaged with Styrofoam molded to fit precisely around the edges to ensure the printer was not jostled during shipping. All of the moveable parts in the paper drawer were taped in place. Included in the package were the power cord, a small package of photo paper, a color ink cartridge, and a black ink cartridge, as well as set up instructions. Set up: It was a breeze to set up; much easier than my last printer. All you have to do is go to 123.hp.com and download the app and your computer will search for your printer. Since I had my other printer still turned on, the app found that printer first, so I turned off that printer and then the app found the 7155 printer immediately. During the set-up process, it calibrated my printer and also let me print out a 4x6 image from my computer. This step can be skipped if you don’t want to use your photo paper, but I didn’t skip it and the photo quality it printed was top quality. Paper: The printer has a main tray for copy paper and a 4x6 photo tray. There will be a small package of 4x6 glossy photo paper included with the printer to start off with. Printing via the printer’s private email address: To change the printer’s email address, first go into the display screen on the printer and turn on hpeprint under “Web Services Settings”, then print out the Web Services Summary. That will give you a copy of the original email address and the Printer Claim Code. The original email address will be a bunch of random letters and numbers and will end with “@hpeprint.com.” Next go onto your computer and go to the web site “hpconnected.com.” Create an account if you don’t already have one. (I did because my last printer also used HP Connected.) Then click to Add a Printer. It will ask you for the claim code, which should be on the paper you printed, but it it is not, you can use the set of letters and numbers shown before the “@hpeprint.com”. Then click to change the email address to something you can remember. Of course, you can just print the normal way by pressing the print icon on your computer and choosing your new printer, but occasionally you may need to email your document directly to your printer. I found this to be very useful with my last laptop, because it kept disconnecting from my old printer and I couldn’t print the normal way. Thankfully, that issue was resolved when I got a new laptop, but in the meantime, I just emailed whatever I wanted to print to my printer and it printed immediately. Scanning: When you scan, you have a choice of scanning directly to one of the computers on your network or you can scan to an SD card. Also, you can choose if you want the scan to be PDF or JPG. Copying: Lift the lid on the top of the printer, place a document on the glass, and choose “Copy.” You can choose black or color and you can also tell the printer how many copies you want. Ink: The printer takes one black and one color cartridge. Display: To use the many choice on the menu, either press one of the buttons for printing, scanning, copying, or apps. Also you can swipe down from the top to show more menu choices. Ink level, Web Services, and more!

Great quality & easy-to-use. App is awesome
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually dislike inkjet printers but this Envy Photo 7155 All-in-One is a great printer that made me change my mind. There are several great things going for it. *Design. For a printer, I think it looks great! HP put some effort into it and made it NOT look like a run-of-the-mill generic printer. True to its Envy moniker, the printer is wrapped up in black and gold that gives the device a high-end and slick look. If you have a HP Envy laptop in black and gold, they would match up very nicely. *Ergonomics & Setup. This printer is very easy to setup and use. The top cover opens up smoothly to expose the Scanner glass and when one lifts up the top portion of the printer unit by grabbing the gold-colored handles, the inside of the printer is easily accessed. From in here, you install the two inkjet cartridges - one Black and one Tri-Color - and you can also remove any paper jams by pulling up on the gray-colored handle. The cartridges just pop-in and pop-out. The paper tray is also easy to use. Pull it out and in one section, you load the regular 8"x11" plain white papers. Inside the smaller upper tray, you put in the photo paper. The color LCD screen that displays all the printer functions and options is also very intuitively laid out and easy to find all the settings. The touchscreen isn't as responsive as a smartphone screen but it is good enough and definitely a nice feature to have. A helpful dedicated Back button makes it easier to navigate around. Once the cartridges are installed and the printer is powered on, instructions are displayed on the screen - one step at a time - that is very easy to follow. Using the "HP Smart" smartphone app, I had the printer quickly connected to my home Wifi network and ready to go. *Printer quality. The quality of both the Black & White and Color prints are fantastic~!! I was especially impressed how great my pictures I took on my Galaxy S8+ looked when printed out on the 4"x6" HP Advanced Glossy photo paper. I've used photo services from Costco, CVS, and Rite-Aid and they have nothing over the Envy 7715's photo quality. All the colors, shades, hues, and details were well-preserved and the photos looked sharp and vibrant. The photos looked just like it did on my Galaxy S8+'s photo gallery. As for regular black & white printouts, they look as crispy and finely detailed as my laserjet printer. No weird fuzzy & "smeadgy" edges. *Performance. Of course the papers don't print out as fast as laserjet printers but for a inkjet, it's pretty good and I'm frankly content and satisfied. Overall, I have no complaints about the printer. It is easy to setup, easy to use, and has an excellent companion smartphone app. I actually prefer sending the print command from the HP Smart app than from within Windows 10 because it is easier to understand my print options and is faster to execute a print job. Bravo to HP for creating an excellent printer that I highly recommend to anyone.

Awesome printer with aesthetics and performanace
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the HP Envy 7155 just in time to start school. My older Envy 120 which still worked great but I wanted an upgrade but keep the same functionality of being able to scan and one touch copy. The Envy 7155 is an All-in-One printer meaning it should be able to do anything you need it to. When you first unbox the printer, you immediately notice the rose gold accent and the matte black scheme. My two favorite colors, coincidentally my 2009 Yamaha R6 is the same color scheme with the performance to rival any motorcycle, did I just compare the Envy 7155 to my Yamaha R6? Setup was pretty simple, I followed the on screen (built-in LCD) and put in my WiFi setting, after setting that up it prompted me for computers to go to the HP setup website and finished install on my laptop. For mobile devices you don't need to do that but you will need to install the HP Mobile printing app, which I already had from my Envy 120. The built-in LCD did have a little trouble recognizing my selections when i touch the language or inputted my WiFi setting. Otherwise the setup was very easy and intuitive. Printing performance is great, this thing is a beast when I printed full page picture of night sky I recently took. I was very surprised how fast it printed the full page picture. The blacks looked great, there was a bit of a moire pattern on the print but as a disclaimer I did went out of my way to print under the "DRAFT" setting when the print prompt settings came up. I also printed a past paper just to see how crisp and clean the text would come out and I'm very happy with the clean and on point text.

HP All in One Printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used printers from virtually every manufacturer but this was my first from HP. It was good overall but does have some flaws that kept me from giving it higher marks. Pros: -Prints high quality photos (see picture) and regular documents -Scan/copy works well -HP has integrated an optional ink subscription service that will ensure you always have fresh ink on hand Cons: -The printer comes with a few blank 4x6's. I loaded them in the printer and attempted to print a photo from the HP app on my phone. The app seemed to default to 5x7 and I could not figure out how to change this setting either in the app or on the printer itself. This resulted in my printed photo being off-center (see picture), although it was high quality in detail. I hope a future update to the printer/app will fix this. -The touch screen interface on the printer was small, imprecise when making selections, and the layout is not intuitive This printer is decent overall, but you may be able to find better out there.

Nice printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please beware that I am not able to give a full review because of the cartridge error. First off, (I am not fully sure if this is the problem) make sure that that the setup is completed before putting in the cartridges. Also, make sure the cartridges included in the box state Start Up; make sure you have your phone available to download the app, HP Smart. This will assist you in connecting to the wifi and you can also print from the app. Once you download the app, open, and have ready when you turn on the printer. When you turn on the printer, if your wifi has a password, the blue light will blink. You have to manually add the wifi on the app. So because I have the cartridge error, I am unable to say how well the printer works using the app and the screen but I will say that printing is pretty fast and color is great. (I was able to print diagnostics and align the printer.) I am still a huge fan of HP but I really hope that they get rid of the start up cartridges. I would buy again and I will be contacting HP to see if they are willing to send another set of start up cartridges or help me bypass the error message.

great replacement for a 5 yr old printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this printer after doing very little research, as my old ones print head went south and i had a need to print almost immediately. While the printer doesn't have fax capability, i realized that we never used it on the older printer, nor does it have the ability to put multiple sheets of paper on top and copy them all at once again never used it on the old printer. The printer does a great job of printing, both single sided and duplex, makes copies, and scans, prints photos and documents, envelopes and 4x6 photos too. The setup was easy, it did go along easier if first removing the older hp printer from windows (on second computer) , and works well on Windows, Linux, and Apple Macs, Iphones, and ipads. The Apple devices just saw the printer with no intervention needed from me, this was a welcome improvement fro the previous HP printer we had. While there are still some HP printers on the market with the fax and multiple copy features available that seemed to be reduced in price from a higher price, I did find in my limited research that they were the older models and many did not support Windows 10, not that they might not work with Win 10, (my older one wasn't supported with Win10 but seemed to work ok), but if you don't need the additional features, safer to buy a currently supported device.

Great printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good with this printer. We went with HP again since our last HP printer lasted 8 years. Print quality is good and it has a nice sized display screen that provides instructions and messages. Easy to use and set up. The HP Instant Ink program is very reasonable and you get the first six months of printing (up to 300 pages per month) for free. HP keeps track of when you need new cartridges via your WIFI and sends new cartridges to you in the mail with no shipping charges.

Works every time!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this printer because I was in the middle of a project and I was having too many issues with my old printer giving errors or simply not recognizing the signal to print at times. Honestly, the plan was to just pick up an inspensive printer to get by and then invest in a better printer after taking the time to research. After having this printer, I didn't need to search for another. This printer has not failed me once. It was easy to connect to all of my devices wirelessly. It prints when I send the command to print. I have had this over a year and have had zero problems with it. The print is crisp and clear. The price point was great. Multiple on-screen options and scans well. It works for me. This is the best printer I've had in some time.

Great home printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this printer kind of last minute. I've been working from home during the stay at home order in NY due to COVID-19 and finally decided I needed to get one. Needed to be able to print and scan at home since I didn't have access to multi function printers in the office. This was super easy to setup. Its pretty compact so it doesn't require a lot of space. I am able to print from all of my devices (laptop, tablet, mobile phone) and also scan directly to an email address or device. Print quality is great. I would totally recommend this printer.

OMG
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had plenty of printers in the past but I'm very happy about this one the most! For a wonderful price, it out does it all. I'm loving the e printing that's available. It's fast and great quality. I was wanting something desk to small but I don't regret this choice because looking up all the info I could, there was always one that did not do the one thing another did. I could not find it so together. This one is a all in one and had all the things the other ones did not that I needed. Plus more that I'm still finding/learning about. Not too much, not too little, just enough for what you need. By the way, im that person that ALWAYS buys something and then later thinks that there is something better or I made the wrong choice when looking at other, but not this time.

HP Envy 7155
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my HP Envy 7155 printer. It's quieter than my old HP printer. The paper holder for printed pages is more substantial. Holds more paper. Excellent quality printing. Faster than the old printer. I like to be able to print double sided pages. I like the Instant Ink program. When I called HP customer support for help setting up my printer, they gave me an additional 5 months free Instant Ink at 300 pgs/month. Customer Support was very good - totally satisfied. Fairly easy to set up to print from my phone and chromebook. Shipping from Best Buy was fast and the printer arrived in perfect condition. This printer was not on sale but I'm happy with my choice!
