Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the ENVY Pro 6455's high-quality prints and ease of use, frequently praising its compact size and straightforward setup. However, some users experienced connectivity issues, and the lack of a display screen was also a point of concern for several customers. Positive feedback also centered around the printer's quiet operation and reasonable price.

When I read the reviews that this was a nightmare to set up, I thought it was just technologically illiterate people who were being dramatic. Nope. This thing was an absolute terror to set up. They insist that you use this HP smart app, and they also make it nearly impossible to set up with a USB cable if you don't want to use wifi. Took me three days to set up and over 3 hours on tech support over the course of those three days. I encountered every issue imaginable for a printer. Yes, it works now, but at what cost? I'm convinced I'll be dying at an earlier age from this experience.

Can I give this no stars? I usually buy all HP printers but this printer is a joke! There is an area by the paper tray that shows the status of the printer. Hope you understand Hieroglyphics because that's what you will need in order to figure out what is going on with this printer. You have to search the manual to figure out what the symbols mean. Then to make matters worse they have a light above the printer tray that changes color according to what's going on with the printer. Like " blue center light with white light pulsing at the side means this...." Are they joking? Who designed this? I have to take a course just to understand how to work this printer. DO NOT BUY THIS! Unless you want to spend hours trying to decipher how to use it and how to troubleshoot the simplest of functions.

Due to the current pandemic it wasn't easy to find a readily available printer that would fit my needs. This printer was reasonably priced and checked most of my boxes and it was available for pick up. Had problems setting it up which was eventually resolved with the help of of HP Support Live Chat. It seemed fairly simply to set it up for wireless printing and haven't had any problems printing documents since the initial set up. If you don't need a printer immediately, you may want to take the time to look at different options.

This is a super simple printer. I have been using it for about a week and it seems to work fine. This one is taking the place of a "fancier" HP Printer which broke down after about 4 years. I already had the HP Smart app and InstantInk accounts, so I was dreading trying to switch everything over. But my dread was not founded. HP actually made it way easier to switch than I thought it would be.
