Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the ENVY Pro 6455's high-quality prints and ease of use, frequently praising its compact size and straightforward setup. However, some users experienced connectivity issues, and the lack of a display screen was also a point of concern for several customers. Positive feedback also centered around the printer's quiet operation and reasonable price.

OK for a Printer/Scanner but App Sucks

Printer looks cool and all but anything other than printing, it doesn’t play well with my computer. If I’m trying to scan something into my computer, the HP Smart app states that there is an unknown issue with the printer and attempts to let the app fix it comes up with no issues, then it goes offline. I end up using my phone to scan, which miraculously doesn’t see the same offline status as my PC. The small icon menu isn’t helpful, either. I miss my Epson full display where I knew exactly what I was doing without having to guess what icon that is lit up does what, when they’re practically identical. HP Smart Ink or whatever they call it is a nice way to have HP charge you a monthly fee to use your own printer, too. Use the trial to get a free ink delivery, but cancel before it costs you $5/month. I’ll spare the details but you get charged whether you use it or not, and get charged extra if you go over your monthly allowance of pages printed, and HP gets to monitor your monthly usage. No thanks!

The quality is good but always having problem with the app, the printer, connectivity. It prints one thing then a few hours later i try to print something else and it seems like its frozen. I like my old HP with a screen. Easier to know whats going on.

Was hard to get to connect to our computer and internet server. Getting tech out to house cost more than printer even if it was a new purchase and I have paid total tech support!

Absolutely love this little printer/scanner/copier. Needed a replacement in my home office but wanted something smaller yet great print quality. This HP model checked all the boxes. Definitely recommend.

Overall, I really really like the printer. I’m not happy that I have to pay for subscription in order to print. That’s the only downside and why I gave it a four. But it’s a great printer.

This is a solid printer for the price. Very easy to use and prints on both sides with ease (save a tree). Also you don't have to sign up for the HP ink subscription if you don't want to.

I absolutely HATE this printer. It literally only works when it wants too. I've learned to just keep it on 24/7 because if I turn it off and then turn it back on when I want to use it it'll give me a hard time. Every time is a different issue. Right now it says it's out of ink when it's not! It keeps saying it only accepts HP ink when that's all I get!! Don't recommend it. It has other nice features like scanning and the app, but honestly not worth the headaches it gives.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry that you’ve encountered such difficulty with your printer. Your frustration comes as no surprise, considering you’ve endured unreliable performance as well as contradictory messages about ink levels and the types of cartridges you’ve installed. I want to help you out of this dilemma, so I’ll provide a resource aimed at making that happen.

I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

While it took a little while to set up this printer with my computer (it didn't want to work any way but wirelessly), once I was able to get my computer to recognize it, I have been mostly impressed for sure. Scanner works great and the print quality is high though the somewhat basic display leaves a little to be desired for the price.
