OK for a Printer/Scanner but App Sucks

If I’m trying to scan something into my computer, the HP Smart app states that there is an unknown issue with the printer and attempts to let the app fix it comes up with no issues, then it goes offline. I end up using my phone to scan, which miraculously doesn’t see the same offline status as my PC. The small icon menu isn’t helpful, either. I miss my Epson full display where I knew exactly what I was doing without having to guess what icon that is lit up does what, when they’re practically identical. HP Smart Ink or whatever they call it is a nice way to have HP charge you a monthly fee to use your own printer, too. Use the trial to get a free ink delivery, but cancel before it costs you $5/month. I’ll spare the details but you get charged whether you use it or not, and get charged extra if you go over your monthly allowance of pages printed, and HP gets to monitor your monthly usage. No thanks!

Like my older HP printer

It prints one thing then a few hours later i try to print something else and it seems like its frozen. I like my old HP with a screen. Easier to know whats going on.

Very easy to use and prints on both sides with ease (save a tree). Also you don't have to sign up for the HP ink subscription if you don't want to.

I've learned to just keep it on 24/7 because if I turn it off and then turn it back on when I want to use it it'll give me a hard time. Every time is a different issue. Right now it says it's out of ink when it's not! It keeps saying it only accepts HP ink when that's all I get!! Don't recommend it. It has other nice features like scanning and the app, but honestly not worth the headaches it gives.

A Pretty Good Printer

Scanner works great and the print quality is high though the somewhat basic display leaves a little to be desired for the price.
