Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Important to know that this particular laptop has a different model number than all other HP Envy, and you might be wondering why you can’t find any reviews on it outside of the BB site. The reason is that this is a Best Buy version of the regular Envy, but it’s gimped to 250 nits of brightness for some unknown reason. Additionally, whereas the Envy models have user upgradeable RAM and SSD, there’s no guarantee this one will, so you very well might be stuck with the 8GB it comes with. Only way to find out is to open it up, but once you do, you can’t return it. I wasn’t willing to take that chance. I got it on sale for $499, but a few days later it was back up to $799. It’s not a $499 computer, and $799 is comical, considering the hardware you get. I ended up returning it the day after it was delivered, and picked up an open box Dell Inspiron for 35% off ($790) instead. It’s 2x the laptop, and it cost me less than this one here after the sale ended.

This laptop was a great replacement for my old Dell. I love the speed of the SSD and Windows 11 OS. The screen resolution is nice and like the black color. This is my first HP laptop and I like it. I'm just getting started and learning about more of the other features. Their is plenty of things this laptop can do that I haven't learned about yet. This is an early review. So far, I like my investment in this product.
