    Frustrations

Have not been able to even get started - No instructions included except in a small 3x5 handout printed in 4 point type. Unreadable. Log on asks for "my credentials"??? Credentials for what? Screen is great, but very little help in finding options or plugins such as USB, file transfer, etc. remote mouse, etc. I need lots of help or to return the item. Unusable until I can get some hands on help. The laptop is great - it's useless without some hands-on help.

It does it’s job, but I noticed you have to press the power button multiple times and you have to keep it connected to the power for use

Bought a small alexa device and went to install it and found out it was $100 to activate it. This should have been noted upfront. Wasted my time.

The battery life is mediocre. It seems like I'm constantly having to charge it, and sometimes I have issues turning it on even when it is charged. Recently (about a week after my warranty ran out), the keyboard quit working and only the touch pad, 10-key and a few letters work. I'm unable to contact HP directly since my warranty is up, and instead have to post my question on a community forum. Not happy! I was satisfied up until the keyboard issue.

I’ve always preferred Hp products. However transitioning to virtual learning my webcam was inoperative. Overall I’m still a fan of my Hp laptop.

I love the look and feel of this laptop but I wish it was a little faster. Haven’t really used it much but for what I need it for it’s a nice laptop.

I'm not a techie in any way so I missed some things that I'm not happy about. It only has 1 USB port. I thought all computers nowadays came with 2. So with my wireless mouse using that port, I needed to buy a USB with 2 ports. It's just a pain in the butt having that dangling when I move it from my desk to the recliner. It does not have a CD port either of I have several things saves on CDs and can't access them now.

This computer overheats so bad that it shuts itself down and will not restart until it cools down. Which took at least 15 minutes every time. No matter what you are using it for its not a good thing! Had to return it after 2 weeks! Other than that I actually like the laptop and its price.

I got this computer in August and not too long after almost every time I was on a zoom call, it would say "microphone and speaker are not working". When it would say that, it would make a loud buzzy sound and it wouldn't stop until I reset my computer. Do not buy.

Works great at first, then slowly breaks down. Power on/off issues, overheats easily and no longer recognizes/connects to wifi networks. For someone who takes great care of their devices and uses them professionally, this is a major disappointment. This doesn't hold up to the nearly $1k purchase.

So far keyboard jammed and this laptop overheats and freezes. Sometimes it doesn't even want to turn on. It was brand New out of the box and since I didn't buy insurance and pasted the 14 day return period, I am stuck with a nice working laptop when it wants to work properly.

    Defective product

After waiting 2 weeks to get the laptop that I purchased. I find that I have a completely defective product. I had to buy the Geek Squad package for $199.00. Then I brought it to the store to be told I need to download software updates to have the defective microphone. I purchased this laptop at great expense to help me in a job search as I was let go due to COVID. After 4 times working with Geek Squad, I still don't have a working microphone. I had job interviews on Thursday and Friday. I spent Wednesday working with Geek Squad instead of preparing for a job interview. I then needed to borrow a laptop to have my interviews. So along with the waste of time, I was unable to use the product for what I needed. And you are lucky if you can understand what your Geek Squad representatives are saying. I was on with Columbia, Guatemala, Panama City and India. Still don't have a working laptop.

This started out so promising-super fast connection, clear and bright screen, great size monitor. However, I can't get rid of the Microsoft Teams ad that is there every single time I log on. Also, the internet has been cut off 3 times for no apparent reason, and is easily turned back on when I press the "fix it" button, but what an annoyance. Hoping the repair guys can fix this. Have had it about 5 weeks, and am an infrequent user.
