Bought this as a gift for a teacher, for distance learning, and the microphone keeps malfunctioning. HP keeps blaming Microsoft for the problem and promises an update. Still broken!!! I’m outside of the return window with no solution. The computer itself is fine, but that’s what’s preventing from it being 4/5 stars.

Had to buy this twice. The first time I did not get the protection plan and it screwed up in the first week.

I am frustrated with the new processes and have had trouble getting them explained to me, and shown to me with clarity.

Bought it for school work. Computer glitched shutting off the internal Mic. Had to reboot it to get it working again.

We like however we have no sound . Tried getting in touch with Best Buy ,,, our on hold several times and disconnected

Good experience except for the fact that they did not email me when my item made it to the store for pickup.

It overheats and I have to wait at least 4 hours until it dies then it'll be fine. Then a black screen happens every once in a while, very annoying.

I love this laptop, but the built in lithium ion batteries have been giving me problems since day 1. It loses charge for no reason. And I have trouble getting it to turn on a lot of times. This is my primary work laptop, so I cant just send it in for repairs. It takes our IT department 1 full day to set up new laptops. So with built in (non removable) batteries I am at it’s mercy whether it wants to work or not.

No sound. Can’t play any music and I’ve been trying for 3 weeks now to get someone to help me. What a joke

Finally I install Zoom Meeting on the laptop so I can have family time. Messge: No microphone installed. I contacted HP virtual assistant and the support community, and no resolution. One month into making the purchase. So frustrated.

just 2 weeks after purchasing the laptop started making loud ringing noises and even if i shut it down, the loud noises would continue and they still continue a month later. my touch keypad gets stuck in certain areas forcing me to use the touch screen because it disables the cursor. aside from that, its a fair laptop but for the price i paid i expected a lot better

Bought this as a replacement for my aging laptop. I was impressed with the solid feel of the unit and it worked well initially. Fast, bright display, nice sound. After a few days I started to have an intermittent problem where the machine would not power up properly. Pushed the power button and nothing happened. Then after having it for less than four weeks the speakers completely shut down. Took it back to Best Buy and the Geek Squad tried a software update, but that did no good. I was then told the unit would have to be sent out for repairs and I would be without the computer for 2-3 weeks. Not a satisfactory solution. Ultimately, Best Buy agreed to give me a new unit. Hopefully the new one will be better.

I purchased it got all set up microphone stopped working in first week. Geek squad couldn't fix got a new one. Microphone never worked. went to store sales person asked if he could look at it he couldn't get the microphone to work he then tried the one on display and that microphone also did not work

I purchased my laptop on 7-10 and i had made an appointment to go in the store to purchase the laptop because when ordering online there was no option to use more then one card to pay with. When i get to the store i have to wait in line outside the building. then when i get to the door i have to wait in the waiting area to be seen and you guys have these tall chairs that are not people friendly. I have problems with my legs and i had to stand the whole time i was outside and in the store what i thought was going to be an in and out transaction took me over an hour. I already knew what i wanted to order and i already had my items that i needed to pay for the laptop but the employee had to trouble ringing up the item. It took her 3 tries to get it right and then it wasn't even done right i had to go to customer service and had to have an other employee help me out. My order that was supposed to arrive on a certain date was late also. totally dissatisfied with my all around experience. The product is great ....

Not sure why, when I browse some websites, the screen keeps on flickering. I didn't see that on other laptop.

Worked great for one year of college and kept messing up on me after. Only had this laptop for 3 years and only used it for school, I currently have it sitting in my closet because it will not turn on and is fully charged. This is the 2nd time this has occurred.

I like the keyboard style/size and raised keys. Graphics and operating system are easy to follow.

It’s a nightmare finding a stylus pen for this computer. My frustration is through the roof.
