The laptop runs smoothly and he interface is very easy to operate. It’s touchscreen capabilities and 360 rotating screen makes it just as efficient for taking breaks in between studying. The backlit keyboard is also a neat feature for writing papers well into the late hours. Great battery life, crisp display and a definite recommendation for college students that want a laptop that can make their work easy and productive.

This laptop is very sturdy - not a lot of plastic. The keyboard is very responsive and has a good feel. I bought an inexpensive DVD burner and I'll buy a dongle for the occasional ethernet needs (mostly it seems when setting up wireless devices you might need to direct connect). It could use an extra USB port given one is already being used by the external mouse. The screen is bright and crisp. But all in all, a great laptop.

I wanted something new, used my old one till it couldn't go no more. So I did some investigating, read some reviews and went in and picked this HP. I am used to Dell but thought I'd try something different. I am happy with my purchase, I like the design, convertible touch screen, the keyboard is a nice size meaning I make less mistakes while typing. I took a star away due to opening it is the only challenge.

Purchased this laptop for work/ personal use. Overall it’s a solid laptop that gets the job done. Noticed a few issues. 1.). The audio drivers keep uninstalling making it unable to use headphones. Sometimes it resolves itself, other times I have to go through a complex diagnostic procedure. 2.) laptop gets very hot and fan is loud even when doing light tasks. 3.) gets easily scuffed. 4.) charger gets very hot.

This is a good laptop for its price. I looked at some of the core I7 laptops at the store and tried one at home. The fan noise was making the experience very uncomfortable. The I5 has some fan noise but not irritating. It is a fast machine and for my home purposes this is a great buy. The finger print reader is finicky, and some of the recommended uploads from HP site did not work properly, hence my rating of 4 stars.

    Track pad falling out

The corner of the track pad popped out after using it. I tried taking it back and the Geek Squad guy said I dropped it. No idea how he came up with that, I used it twice and it never left my desk. He came up with any reason possible to not do anything about it. I bought it as a Black Friday deal and it was a present so of course when I took it in I had it for a while and didn’t know if the issue. Terrible customer service!!

Got this laptop on sale for $150 less than regular price for college use. Great all around. Bright screen, large and comfortable keyboard, 10-key pad and loud speakers. The only knock against it is the battery life. Three to four hours is all you really get. If it wasn't for that I would rate it five stars. My WACOM Bamboo Ink pen is on its way. Will update review once I have had a chance to try it.

Our home is a Mac home, but I bought this for my wife so she could work from home. The consulting firm she works for doesn't play nicely with Mac, so we had to go with a Windows-based machine. The touchscreen is nice and responsive, and the fingerprint unlock makes getting in a breeze. Speed and responsiveness are good. Screen size is perfect for working on Excel spreadsheets. Overall, she is happy with it.

Loads up quick. Speakers aren’t that great but I haven’t seen that on a laptop yet. Hated it at first but I’m getting use to it. My tip would me to take advantage of the touchscreen as much as possible and things will be smoother. I hate the new windows but that’s not HPs fault. I’d recommend it in the Black Friday deal I got at 600. I think it’s normally 800 and at that price I would spend a little more on a MacBook Air.

Screen is really nice, flips to a tablet. Love the touch screen. Resolution of the screen is really impressive. Volume on the computer is great. Pretty fast. Can't complain with downloading apps or uploading pages. My only complaint is the touch log-in is on the side of the computer and it never reads my finger print so I have to use my password. It's really not a smart location for that but that's really my biggest complaint about this computer.

I've had this about a week now, so can't comment on long term use, but so far it's great! I had read about the fan being loud, but I haven't experienced that. I do feel it when it comes on, but it's not loud. Love the backlit keys! Lightweight and pretty straight forward setting it up. I will say the fingerprint scanner doesn't work most of the time, but it's easier for me to enter a pin. I would definitely recommend this laptop.

I have always had problems with my past laptops. This one has had zero issues and handles everything amazingly. I recently amazed my friends when I easily outran all their desktops in a game download and was able to keep up in the game as it was pretty high end with lots of mods dragging at it. The touch screen is very receptive. I haven't gotten a stylus for it yet, but the finger is just as good for less than pinpoint work.

I needed a laptop with a large screen for playing instructional videos for a keyboard I recently purchased . This fit the bill and at the right price point for me. Because you can fold it in half it goes right above the keyboard facing me. It worked perfectly. One other thing I liked was that there wasn't any other junk loaded on the computer except the basics of what I needed. It has plenty of power and the display is large and very nice!

I love this laptop. It is my only computer so the size of the screen and keyboard are more conducive for desktop use. I have only had it for about 3 weeks so a full review is premature. My only issue, and it is minor, is that the fan gets loud pretty quickly. This is my first experience with SSDs and they are smokin' fast. So much so, that when I use someone else's computer now I get antsy. :)

Really like the numeric pad on the keyboard

The numeric pad on the keyboard is a big plus for someone who works with numeric data, external keyboards are difficult when having to navigate between the character keyboard and the external numeric pad. Happy with the size and weight of the notebook, happy with the screen, sound is good. Speed is fast! I am unhappy with the fact that no User Guide came with the notebook. You are directed to download it from HP site.

I purchased this laptop for nursing school and it's pretty good. Actually, the majority of my class have the exact same laptop. I had a few issues, but it took a lot of updating to get the keyboard to work while in tablet mode. However, on some sites, the keyboard doesn't automatically pop-up while in tablet mode when clicking on a text box. I'm not sure if it's only my issue or a common one. Overall, it's a pretty good laptop.

I bought this to use for work. I am a teacher. I've been setting it up and so far I love it. It's fast, touchscreen, has a number pad, full HDMI port, and 2 USB ports. The only thing I want happy about was the fact that there was only 2 USB ports. My old laptop had the same amount and I was constantly running out of ports. My solution to combat this problem was to buy a BLUETOOTH mouse instead of using wireless with USB receiver.

Needed a new laptop for myself and my daughter recommended this HP Envy 360 2-n-1 with touch. It's beautiful. It's a full size with number keypad. The finish is very nice to the touch. Speed, connectivity and memory are just what I need for grad school. Speaker/sound quality excellent. And I don't miss having a CD/DVD-ROM. Not heavy. I will invest in a sleeve and Bamboo Ink Stylus pen. Very pleased with purchase.

Repurchased this HP after 2 previous, only because I was unsure in decision. I had a HP open box it was great, wasn't familiar with the fast processor so I took back kept getting hot. Purchased this HP i5 processor, great computer, love the silver color and the backlight keyboard. Only problem is can disable the touchpad, anyone with assistance on that would be very helpful. Overall, great laptop

I wasn't sure if I would like the 2:1, but it's great. I sometimes work remotely and this has no issues. I did buy a Microsoft digital pen. It works ok on the HP Envy, but it doesn't seem to respond to the difference of pressure. Not an issue for me as I don't use it for drawing. Anyhow, I like the flexibility of the screen, quickness of the system, and battery length. The lack of noise is also a plus. No regrets.
