I bought two of these, one for each of my daughters. One is a college junior and the other is a high school junior. My youngest child is a videographer and does quite a bit of video editing. She tells me that this computer is fast with production and actually chose this computer over a Mac because she had used my other daughter's computer. My oldest child uses the computer for everything and she really loves the touch screen. Neither has had an issue with this computer and I'm actually thinking about buying one for myself. The laptop is sleek and light, but very much good quality. Highly recommend.

I have not had it that long, BUT it works great. It does not take long to download or pull things up on the internet. Also, I love that it's touch screen, has the back lights, and has different security options.

So far no problems... it's really fast and the touch screen is amazing! Only problem is I'm not very technologically advanced so I'm still learning a lot of the functions. I wish it were easier to navigate.

Great computer, reasonable, and fast. Easy setup, no problems. Love the backlit keyboard. and the power button on the keyboard rather than on the side of the computer, as it was with my last HP.

Easy to set up & good speed. I use it to work from home & so far all is good. It’s got a nice size screen & colors. The only thing is that it’s noisy & it heats up at bottom. Once I remote to my work office computer, the noise begins.

I love the number keypad on the keyboard! I have an Echo Dot so Alexa being provided is a plus as well. As mentioned in other reviews, the sound can be annoying for someone (it doesn’t bother me). The price was good and so far I love it!

I was very overwhelmed with which laptop to get my son. After a month or two of reading reviews and top 10 lists, I decided on this one. I wanted to get a touch screen and a 2 in 1. This has been a great purchase! Very user friendly. I was told by an school IT guy to get an i5, 8GB memory, and a 256 GB SSD. This computer has different options with this info, but got exactly what he said. There has been no lagging and we got a stylus pen off Amazon that is compatible with this hp laptop. Very happy with this purchase. He’s a junior in HS and taking online dual credit college classes, so we’re hoping this lasts thru college. We got a great deal and Best Buy made it easy.

I bought this a few days ago No upgrades everything original from Best Buy . I can say the laptop quality is great. Feels very premium. It runs great and it has a good battery life it also charges fast . The speakers are perfect for laptop speakers. I played some lights games on it and it runs them smooth. Tablet mode is amazing the touchscreen is in another level. The Front camera is like a 7 out of 10. I’ve seen a lot of reviews put one start because of the fan. I don’t think that is fair . The quality given is to much to be one start. I do admit the fan is alittle loud but it’s only noticeable when it’s really quite. On a normal day regular background noise will cancel it.

HP Envy had everything I was looking for

I actually bought four of these, three for my grandkids since most schools are virtual now and the kids will need good laptops to keep up, and one for my daughter. This brand and model had all the right features for any use and since one is in college one in high school and one in junior high and my daughter needed a new one in her job search, this model fit all the needs. The HP Envy has a touchscreen, lighted keyboard, and enough RAM and storage for normal use ( you might want more for heavy duty gaming but that wasn’t the aim). I also liked the i5 since many other choices were i3 and that may not be good enough farther down the road.

Overall a great laptop! I bought it mostly for school, but also for standard day-to-day browsing and streaming, as well as playing one of my games called 'Runescape' (I don't have any other games downloaded on it, the only other game, League (LoL), is too big for this laptop to function well in my opinion. My desktop is a bit better than this laptop in terms of performance, and if I ever play that game again, it would be on that as I know it runs smoothly on it with medium-high graphics). The tablet function has been great so I can draw diagrams and other stuff for school (bought a stylus separetely), as well as when I'm just lazy I can flip it over and make it like a tent and just use the touch screen, or just make it as a tablet and use it as a tablet for browsing and other standard web stuff. I do have an external fan too I bought just for precautions, but when I'm running a lot on the laptop, it does get a little warm, but that's expected as I'm asking it to do a lot of performance things. It also helps as a barrier too when I don't have the external fans running as it does get warmer when I'm laying down and have the laptop on my lap doing standard things, but that's because I'm blocking it from "breathing". No matter what, I always like to recommend an external fan for extra precautions- never hurts to be safe! Especially with a large investment like this. Might just be me too, but some tech stuff with the settings on the computer took me awhile to figure out, and it's telling me I have updates on the computer but when I check, there's none to update. Maybe it's just not communicating with the intel driver support system that what it wants to update is already up to date. Not a big deal to me. My only negative, I'm not sure if it's my game or the laptop, but when I would play my game, that doesn't require a lot of performance from the system mind you, my game would freeze a lot. I'd have to close it via the task manager too. Even restarting the laptop didn't fix the issue, or it only fixed it for an hour or two at most. Also, my 'D' key wasn't working properly right from purchase. After hours of being on tech support (HP tech support, not BestBuy) with people from overseas (who couldn't understand my problem with the freezing, nor could I barely understand them), they finally said, as a courtesy, they'll send me a package so it can be looked at at a service center (really? as a courtesy? you've got to be kidding me). Including the issue with my 'D' key. Service center people were fantastic, more than likely because they were domestic people and we both could understand each other. They gave me a call after running their tests and I explained to them what my one issue was and they understood and ran more tests, the one guy I spoke to initially was even familiar with my game and knew it wasn't that big of a game. Nothing was wrong in the performance department, they said they pushed this to the computer's limits, even beyond it. So that just leaves me to think it's just a game issue hopefully. I honestly haven't used my laptop much since I got it back a few weeks ago. Just for school stuff really. They did replace my keyboard though (it's a whole unit so they couldn't do the key on its own) as well so now when I press 'D', it always registers instead of me having to go back and put a 'D' in where it should be because when I originally pressed it, it didn't get typed. That was real annoying when I was typing stuff up for school. I always reread what I write, but it was just an additional headache I didn't need during nursing school XD

I had a previous envy x360 that we bought last year and are now using for my daughter to do online schooling. Our family needed a computer, and I loved our old one so much I bought a newer version. I love having a separate keypad and the touchscreen. I thought the fingerprint was going to be a gimmick for me, but I love the security it offers and I don't have to remember my password. The SSD is fast and has plenty of storage. I wish there were more USB ports, but it's a minor complaint. Software installation and setting it up has been a breeze, and I love being able to use it without a mouse while I'm watching TV on the couch.
