My Chromebook crapped out on me, plus I wanted a laptop where I could use Microsoft Office. This is a great laptop similar to a Chromebook in that it's a touchscreen, and can rotate and fold 360 no problem, but also allows you to download non-Google products. I purchased with the student discount so it was at a good mid-range price that provides Macbook type quality. I spilled some water on the speakers and it still works fine thankfully. My only issue is sometimes it's finicky with dragging the cursor when copying/pasting words, but it's possible that it could be rectified with a mouse.

Bought this for my Granddaughter, since I have the same one and she loved it. I had a little trouble with Windows on mine, but looks like they got that figured out so very happy with the purchase.

This is an awesome 2 in 1 and does everything that I need for school, work and my personal business. Easy to set up out of the box and easy to use.

I paid $650 for this laptop and I have to say that it is an awesome machine, really good quality and fast. Overall I am really happy with my purchase.

Great specs for the price, the burnished aluminum casing and backlit keyboard give this laptop a GREAT look and feel. Performs admirably. Good battery life. Will get a little hot if you're playing a game while charging, would advise elevating slightly for better ventilation, but that's pretty much to be expected. Touchscreen is very responsive, hinges seem sturdy. UHD display is GORGEOUS, especially for reading illustrated books or comics in tablet mode. If you're looking for a great middleweight, multi-use laptop, this is YA BOI.

Fast and easy to use. My 6th grader daughter really loves her new 2in1 laptop. She enjoying using Alexa. Battery lasts for 5-6 hours.

Had a mac for little under 4yrs... wasn't really working for me so went back to an HP & all I can say is been the best purchase thus far... fast, crisp display, awesome at multitasking, clean design.. over all best bang for your money in every aspect on the model I bought for every day use as email, work and video streaming either for YouTube or Netflix with no problem even doing them all simultaneously. All the specs are future proof so with confidence isna computer that will last years fkr years to come!

Great for college students! I love the touchscreen and light up keyboard. Also, I like that you can turn this lap top into a tablet.

Finally a computer that doesn’t give me headache. Turns on fast and smooth. With a fingerprint scanner signing in couldn’t be easier. The built in camera shutter is plus with reminders if it’s still open over time. Amazing product. I bought a Bamboo Ink Stylus and CD writer separately to complete functionality for me. The computer fan is sometimes loud on occasion. Also in tablet mode the speakers don’t seem to switch left and right when you flip the screen, if that matters to someone. So if you’re watching a movie in tablet mode images on the left of the screen sound like it’s coming from the right.

It's what you would expect from a laptop with an i5 and 8GB of RAM. The only thing is that the fan seems to ramp up completely under the slightest of loads (browsing the web) and it will stay there until you turn the computer off. It's very noisey and very distracting. I have tried BIOS updates from the HP Support Assistant and nothing has been fixing it.

This is such an excellent computer that I've purchased it twice. An unfortunate accident with my previous computer (my fault) led to the touch screen (and eventually the keyboard itself) being unusable. But until then, the computer functioned perfectly and didn't even have the dreaded "loud fan" that HP laptops typically suffer from. Buying this replacement to assist me with work and play during the pandemic was the best decision I made this year. It's quick, responsive and very nice to look at!

This can do all the web browsing, paper writing, and casual gaming that most people would need. The 2in1 helps alot when needed.

Wasn't sure which computer we wanted for college but decided to go with the Envy after the BB sales guy helped us decide. Love the versatility and ease of use.

I love my new laptop! I waited to check for some of the things some people had complaints about. Personally I barely hear the fan when it turns on and it’s needed to keep the laptop from getting hot. I’m not getting any black screen or glitches. The camera is a very clear picture for zoom and team calls. The speakers have a good sound. I love all the features like backlit keyboard, Alexa and the notebook are fantastic!! I definitely recommend spending the extra money for a better product.

This is the second HP Envy I have owned. I love the platform and touchscreen. The computer is fast and will run multiple online tabs at the same time. The only down-side is that the digitizer on the screen is built into the screen, which means if it breaks you have to replace the entire screen, which is pretty pricey. That was the reason I bought another one. Was about 170 bucks more just to buy a totally new one. However, other than that, the computer is awesome and works like a dream.
