Great laptop computer for what I needed. Fast, love the size of the touchscreen, and it is great in terms of weight to be able to carry around. Highly recommend.

Well, well, well...At last! I've been through several laptops lately and have finally found one (OoooooOOooo I hope I'm NOT jinxing myself, LOL!) that does NOT crash and give me the BSOD. Blue Screen of Death. It's like I found where the Pope put "Limbo", LOL! I even did all the updates and it still works! the touchscreen works too! Of the computers I've tried recently the ASUS had the bestest screen I've ever seen. But, and everyone I know has a big but so lets talk about this big but, the touchscreen was intermittent on both units I bought. An otherwise excellent laptop that was a touchscreen that didn't wanna be touched. Hmmmm... The Lenovos I tried had the same touchscreen problem as the ASUS. It also had a nasty habit of freezing out the lower 90% if the screen when watching a movie. I documented it on my phone and showed it to my local BB Geek Squad folks. But (again!) the Lenovis had other problems. Problems that other folks also experienced and while misery may enjoy company I would prefer no one else have this happen with their new laptop. The Lenova would NOT work. Updates froze them out and no matter how many times I RESET the laptop they would just freak out after updating and return to a $1,000+ ornament. I tend to think it was software related but it could also have been a batch o' bad motherboards. Anyway, I tried two of them before giving up on that model. Then I bought this HP. Through it all Best Buy stood by me, I think I trade in 4 or more laptops on my way to this hopefully final one! I documented the freezing screen and the non-op touchscreen as well as the BSOD, Whether online or in the store, Geek Squad folks were helpful and supportive. The people of Best Buy are a BIG reason I shop here. People are not AI, they are people. Like you. Like me. And they understand and can put themselves in your shoes so long as you don't walk all over them. Treat them as friends, not servants. The ones at the store I use are more friends than just people I see in a store. And like I said, so far this HP Laptop WORKING just fine! If that changes anytime soon I will be back to update my review. I like to think I out of Limbo at last.

Excellent computer upgrade. Fast, light and versatile. The battery right now seems sufficient but maybe not as much as I wanted. Purchase from best buy was smooth as always. 4 stars for a simple fix but very annoying problem... When in tablet mode if the computer goes to sleep you can't wake it up, you need to unfold it. The keyboard is disabled when in tablet mode which makes sense, bbut no buttons will wake it up.Hopefully hp fixes this.

The absolute best laptop!! I bought this one a year ago for myself. I am a realtor and needed something good for photos an videos. This laptop had the speed and storage I needed to do my job. I just purchased this laptop for my daughter who's starting college and will need it for filming/videos/photos. We were told this would be the best one for her heading off the filming/acting school in LA. She loves it!!

Bought this as a gift for my wife who had really worked over her older laptop. This envy is a great replacement and is super fast. Plenty of storage and very easy to navigate. The only negative is there is no 10 key keypad, which she loved about her old laptop. That was frankly an oversight on my part when buying, but it has stopped her from loving this one and all the features.

Excellent HP unit for the options and price. I looked at several units for my son and this had all the features I wanted without breaking the bank. It has performed flawlessly and stopped all the fights over the computers in the house which makes it worth it. I was concerned about the picture quality but the display is a bright and clear. The SSD really makes this unit nice and snappy. No complaints on the unit.

Excellent price-performace, you'll have 16 GB ram, 512 GB storage and intel core I7 11th generation. Well, display resolution is 1080p i really would llike 4k but this level we are talking about 500 or 600 dollars more. I recommend this laptop if you have something easy and good to use.

This computer is amazing! The graphics are beautiful, the layout is nice, the keyboard is awesome! I love how the keyboard folds completely in half and you can prop up the computer. When you turn the computer on it's side the image flips lengthwise too! Slim and not too heavy! Very cool! Overall, very happy! I was a MacBook user before this HP!

Got this for my sister to edit photos on and run her photography business from. According to her this, along with a stylus, is a game changer compared to a normal laptop. It has plenty storage, lots of speed and decent battery life. It's also lightweight which is a nice bonus.

HP Envy x360 Touchscreen Hinge Defect Issue

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

!!HP Envy x360 known-defective hinge issue !! Had this same model for a little over 3yrs, and was fantastic, but you're taking a risk...research the hinge issue. Give these recent reviews a year or two, and I bet there will be several in the same boat. All of a sudden after the 3yr extended Best Buy Warranty expired, the right hinge popped out and broke the touch screen when my wife opened the lid to use her laptop. After finding out it wasn't covered, did some reasearch on how to repair, and was disappointed in what I found. It can be repaired, but just google search HP Envy x360 hinge issue, and you'll see this is apparently a common problem. https://www.google.com/search?q=hp+envy+x360+broken+hinge+recall&rlz=1C1CHBD_enUS798US798&oq=HP+Envy+x360&aqs=chrome.0.69i59l3j69i57j0i512l3j0i433i512j0i512l2.4835j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/questions/hp-envy-x360-2-in-1-15-6-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-natural-silver/6082000/question/f8015074-2241-3dea-9cb8-6ce4dc8ed5b2 Ours lasted quite a while compared to others, and the tablet mode was used probably less than 6 times in 3 years. Wish I would have known before I purchased. Thought about fixing myself, but all the parts are likely the same and afraid it will happen again. Very disappointed in HP. Only 1 person that I can see got it repaired free of charge on the forum, as a defective issue, and that's because the person emailed a VP at HP. Also disappointed in Best Buy for knowing this and irritated that I paid for their 3yr warranty and this happened just about 3 months after it expired. Likely not going to buy from Best Buy again for laptops, and will not be purchasing an HP computer. 1 star for the fact it was great for 3 years...same 1 star because it's now useless. Incidentally I bought an Asus computer at the same time as this one, and it is has been flawless. May need to get another one of those now.

Lightweight and convenient for on the go traveling. Cost is definitely worth it with the amount of space. Top notch graphics card is good for gaming. Would have loved for it to have a case option as well as a side numbered keyboard.

Runs fast, stays cool, and has a decent amount of storage space. On startup allows you to transfer files to via dropbox. Makes for a perfect PC for work and school. Although it may not be a gaming laptop, it still has the necessary specs to run many games (assuming its nothing too demanding). In my opinion, it was a great purchase.

I'm so happy with this HP laptop. Pros: Incredibly fast, great picture and sound. A little heavier than a comparable Lenovo I tried but this has ports and plug ins that Lenovo sacrificed to reduce the weight. Very reliable, haven't had any issues with programs shutting down suddenly. Everything loads incredibly quickly and I can have several heavy programs open and running at once without affecting the speed. Cons: My biggest complaint is the right side control key was sacrificed for the fingertip login (my bad for not noting this before purchasing). This took me a couple weeks to get used to but I have adjusted. Also, I have to use two hands to open the laptop as the keyboard lacks the weight to stay put when you lift the screen. Not that big of an issue; I can live with it. Lastly, although I've turned the mousepad down to the least sensitive setting, the cursor still suddenly jumps elsewhere on a page (I must be lightly grazing the mousepad). Overall, I am very happy with this laptop and I've adjusted to the things I don't care for.
