    Good computer for multitasking

My only (slight) criticism of this laptop is that it’s a bit big. However, it’s a great machine: fast and able to run multiple programs with ease. I use Microsoft Office, Microsft Power BI, and Adobe programs occasionally (Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign). I have regular video conferences. I work from home, so this is both my personal and work computer. Monday - Friday, my laptop is on for about 14 - 16 hours and less on the weekends. Before this I had an HP Pavilion x360: it physically began falling apart after about a year (chipping around the edges, etc) and I don’t do anything unusual with laptops. After about 18 months, I started getting warnings about the battery failing, and it started turning off randomly about two years after use, so I’m hoping for a little better with the Envy. My previous experiences with HP laptops persuaded me to give HP one more try. So far, things are going well, but we’ll see how things go once work starts up after the holidays...

Still learning all the new features, but love this laptop. It is lightweight, slim, and full of great feature. The touchscreen is great, and the Lighted keyboard is super easy. Love the fingerprint sign in option. I bought for business, and traveling with it is just great.

Wonderful replacement to my 11-yr-old Toshiba

I did a lot of reviewing of HP, Dell, and ASUS computers. As my old Toshiba was starting to REALLY slow down, I needed something that could handle my personal needs, as well as my wife's home business. This computer has been a dream - ease of use, faster regeneration and opening of Apps and Programs - there is nothing I have to complain about. The sound quality, while not my primary use for video or movie viewing, is pretty good; I get good quality bass with a full range of sound. The graphics are really sharp, and I'm a fan of the backlit keyboard (although white light on silver keys kind of blends in too much). The addition of my office programs, and uploading of the applications from my former computer, and this ship has taken off. While I have only had it for a month now, it's exactly what I was looking for in a new laptop. I would recommend this to anyone needing a viable computer for your personal and home needs.

This laptop computer is attractive, lightweight, and so easy to get started with. I liked the fingerprint option to open the computer when booting up, but after the first few times, more often than not it wouldn't recognize my fingerprint and I'd end up having to try it several times and then putting in a pin instead, so I just disabled the fingerprint ID feature. If you have a high tolerance for trying and retrying, it's a great feature. The PC itself performs quickly and I am really enjoying it. I got a Wacom pen to go with it, easily installed and used, and a portable DVD drive, also easily installed and set up.

I bought this laptop because my previous laptop was getting old and the touch screen cracked so I picked an upgraded version of my previous model. I love this laptop, BUT it heats up so much, i had to get a cooling pad. My previous computer did not do that, so I am not a fan of this issue at all. Other than that there are no other complaints.

My wife bought the HP envy 2 years ago and hers still works perfectly so I decided to buy this newer version for myself. We use our laptops for school, it is fast and dependable. It folds and turns into a tablet, the touchscreen is so awesome. I love it

My two year old HP Spectre 2in1 broke down and I needed it repaired. They quickly got the machine down to the repair depot and gave an admirable effort in trying to repair it. They just couldn't, so I got my Geek Squad refund and I bought this HP Envy. Solid State Drive, Optane, 10th generation Intel Core i7 and a load of RAM. Its a rocket and I love how it performs. Never a problem between set up with assistance from both Geek Squad and HP. Recommend- Yes, definitely!

So far in the short term of owning this laptop I am satisfied. It's lightweight, fast, super responsive and I like that it swaps from a laptop to a tablet with ease. The only issue I have come across so far and the reason I haven't given it 5 stars is for the USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (5 Gb/s signaling rate, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge) port and customer service. I've purchased the Native Union - 10' External Video Adapter - Zebra Model:BELT-C-HDMI-ZEB-3and connected it to this laptop, but I'm unable to get a display out the port. Support was a joke when I inquired. Basically I was told I needed a "USB-C TO Display port" adapter. Seriously? I'm going to try another style adapter and see if that is where the issue is. If I'm able to get this to port to display correctly, then I'll bump this up to 4 stars. However, the customer support prevents me from ever providing 5 stars.

Purchased this laptop on Black Friday and I'm happy with it. I needed a laptop that's not too pricey for school to use for my online classes and I like the 15.6" touchscreen display, the memory the 2-in-1 feature. It's pretty fast for basic web browsing and streaming. Not too sure for editing and uploading videos since I haven't tried it yet. For sure not for gaming since the graphics are not that great and it's not HD. Battery is mediocre. It lasted 5 and a half hours while continuously streaming videos which is not bad but not great either. Overall, I'm satisfied with it for what I need it for.

Ok so disclaimer, for the past 20 years I have been a committed Apple customer. Well it was time to upgrade to a newer, faster laptop. Apple has increased their prices so much I couldn’t do it, I couldn’t spend $3,000 on a laptop that had all the specs I needed. After tons of research, I decided on this laptop. And I LOVE IT! I love the larger screen (I don’t travel with this it stays home) but it still fits great in my computer bag if needed to bring with me anywhere. It’s so fast, tons of memory, and love the unique speaker bar. Highly recommend this!

I needed something fast and versatile to help me serve people with securing their families future with mortgage protection and final expense and retirement planning. Also to use as a demo and training tool for new underwriters. Long battery life is great. Later got my wife a similar one in a different color for her day care business and home management needs. She loves to use it for recipes in ladder mode to view and scroll recipe while cooking. Backlit keyboards and connectivity are great and instant on is just that, instant!

This laptop is just incredibly fast. Boots up completely within 30 seconds! HD video camera is fantastic and the display is great. Couple of downsides. Could not keep the Intel WiFi adapter to stay connected, had to go through some discussion boards to find some power saving settings that were the problem. Very frustrating since this was a brand new laptop and it wouldn't stay connected. Shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get the WiFi stable. Keyboard is a bit on the "lite plastic" side. If you're a heavy key pounder you might want to make sure to get an extended warranty. Integrated battery would not be easily replaceable. With the i7, SSD and Optane this baby is a dream.
