Customers are positive about the fast performance, touch screen, lightweight design, and reasonable price of the ENVY x360 laptop. They appreciate its speed, clear display, portability, and value for money. However, customers are negative about the fan noise, average battery life, weight, overheating issues, and limited number of USB ports. They mention that the fan can be loud during normal use, the battery life could be better, it is heavier than expected, it can overheat when charging while in use, and it could use more USB ports.

I recently purchased the HP Envy with a lot of add on's and extra memory after my Toshiba laptop died. I did a lot of research and was super picky about what all I wanted in my new replacement laptop. A touchscreen, at least 500GB main memory, a SSD, plugins for HDMI, USB, micro USB, travel friendly weight and a numeric keypad. I love this laptop! it's very fast at start and loading your user account. The battery has lasted me up to 3 days without being plugged in...Wow! After using it for a month the only issue I've found is the light colored lettering on the keyboard. The back lit keys are really nice at night and are even better if you're watching a movie in the dark. The sound system is Bang & Olufsen and has a well-rounded full audio output. Although I've barely used it the 360 flip screen is a cool feature which is great for presentations or watching videos. I highly recommend the HP Envy.

I have had the computer for about a month and a half now and it is amazing. It is fast, it opens everything. I have it set up on my home network attached to two other computers and I am able to access all my computers from my new laptop. It is very thin and light in weight. Fast on Start up as well. I also suggested to a family member that they buy the same computer and they did. They are also very happy with their choice.

After some time searching for a laptop with a good processor and sufficient memory, I found this one. The only thing I do not like a lot is the fact that I'm more used to the spanish keyboard and this one is in english, which is inconvenient at the moment of using some specific symbols. Everything else is great: touch-screen looks good, the illuminated keyboard is excellent when working late and it is pretty fast. I'm happy with my purchase.

I have had this laptop for approximately a year now and I would definitely recommend this to anyone in college. I easily get my essays done, and the tools included are very helpful for making alarms and quick notes. The keyboard has lighting settings if you type in the dark which is very helpful. The display of the laptop is beautiful. When you want to wind down after finals and watch Netflix you flip the keyboard and you now have an iPad. You can also make it stand on its own. I do however have noted some downfalls. I found the camera to be quite grainy, and not the best quality. The audio is fair. There are some things I would want to be improved that aren't that big of a deal like more apps, better emojis, and more features in the laptop in general. Another thing to keep in mind is that the fan is very loud. If you use it for a long time with no breaks the fan will go off, do its thing, and possibly distract others. Personally, this hasn't happened in class for me but do keep that possibility in mind. I also found the laptop to be quite heavy. To be fair it is my first laptop and the screen + keyboard are a good size, which makes Zoom classes, assignments, and Netflix much easier to do. Another thing is that a pen meant for phones or tablets will work on this, even cheap styluses. No need to spend a big deal on a writing tool.

After my 4 year old Dell failed (hard drive crashed), I read ALL the reviews about (what seemed like) every laptop available today. I decided on this HP Envy x360. I'm glad I did. It's pretty much everything you could want in a laptop for home and business use. I grabbed it on sale, reduced from $1000 to $800. This was a steal.
This laptop is built very well. It feels sturdy. It's light. The screen is adequately clear and bright. Touch and tablet features work very well. The Bang and Olufsen speakers are a very nice touch. They are loud (for a laptop) and clear.
With the Intel Core i7, 12GB RAM and 512GB SSD, this thing is fast. It's certainly much faster than my Dell with Intel i5, 8GB RAM and 1TB HDD (which crashed). It handles all my work and personal computing needs like a pro; even some casual online gaming. It's very simple to set up and use. So simple, in fact, that my 71 year old Dad bought the same one 2 days after I did.
The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars, instead of 5, is because I would prefer 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. Yes, it would cost a bit more. No, the upgraded specs are not essential. This is a very good laptop, just the way it is.

I recently started a side business of doing photography (well that that I can currently do due to covid-19) and while I already have a very powerful laptop I use for my main business (A/V production and music production), I didn't want to use that laptop for the new side business, so I bought the HP Envy x360. I was so impressed that I've actually started using it as my main laptop when I'm not actually in a studio or at a live performance. As it doesn't have a dedicated graphics card, you won't be able to do a lot of graphic labor intensive work, but it is perfect for intermediate video and photo editing, and some above intermediate depending on what it is. Very sturdily made. Can be a bit cumbersome to use in tablet mode, but still useful. The batter leaves much to be desired even when doing nothing more than basic internet browsing without video or audio playing, and not using wifi, but it's not so bad that you would complain about it. Well, I'm not sure how I'd feel if I was someone that needed to use it for an extended amount of time without access to somewhere to plug it in, say for example, a student that has 6 hours worth of classes back to back. Might not last the entire 6 hours from my experience. So the battery life is why I'm not giving it 5 stars. But I'd definitely buy this again. I actually plan on buying a second slightly lower model to use for some other things. As I haven't had it a full month yet though, I may come back and amend this review. We shall see, but so far so good.

I purchased this as an update from my current HP Envy laptop. I have happily used that one for going on 6 years, and it was time for an upgrade. So glad I bought this when I did! The price was great, thanks to a student discount code and a sweet sale.
The camera is so high-def and it boots up amazingly fast. I love the sleek silver casing. The touch screen and ability to fold flat into a tablet are nice features that I'm still getting used to having, so I don't use them that much.
The fan is a little loud at times, but I have gotten zero complaints from colleagues at the other end of my virtual meetings that the noise is being heard on their end.
I miss the black keys on my old HP Envy, as the backlit keyboard makes it diffcult to see the figures on keys when needed. I love the repositioned fingerprint reader, but the relocation of the power button has thrown me off a bit, but I'm sure I'll eventually get used to it.

I've tried to work around the fan noise that is in previous reviews as I am and HP lover. Yet, the noise was quite noticeable and distracting for the purpose of my activities. I believe HP is aware of the problem and that's why there is a fan changing option on the key board. I've tried the quite mode and labtop was quite. Yet, it got over heated on the bottom to a point to heat up my computer desk. I got concerned that at certain point it may damage my hard disk or other components. I've switched to recommended settings and fan kick in very strong and cool off the computer, but the noise was back. Other than that, I7 and 12GB is a booster and performance is nice. Picture quality is not the best even at high resolution. I'm returning the computer tomorrow and get the Lenovo Yoga that seems to have solved this I7 quick processor heat issue for a case laptop.

Laptop is in mint condition with expected specs. All good at first glance. Yes, the fan is noticeable, and you may hear it almost all the time, but not annoying. Looks like Optane memory does its job well in terms of speed.
Very fast device and memory of 12GB seems sufficient for most ordinary users. Nice build quality. Thermals not bad, considering the thinness of the device. Recommend.

Decent laptop. Specs are great. Fast. The fan volume can be controlled via the settings, so for people that say it's "too loud," just haven't found that setting yet. It is not too hot either after turning the fan down.
I give it 4/5 because there was a defect on my mousepad that was very annoying. Also, I don't like the keyboard layout with the number pad, but there are no other options for a 15" screen. Also the power button isn't very responsive. Sometimes I have to push it multiple times to turn on. It's a little on the heavy side. Also, I wish it was powered by USB-C. I wish it had an OLED screen.
When compared to other 15" laptops, this is probably the best choice.

First, I love the screen, it's only 1080P, but it looks good. Really thin form factor, so even for 15.6" laptop, it doesn't seem all that big. Nice keyboard, I was worried they would damage easy when using as a tablet, but not an issue so far. The Intel Optane boost for the SSD makes it really fast, especially when booting. I really like the performance and the design.

Despite reading other reviews about fan issues and such, I must say that this computer gets the job done. I have heard the fans, but no more than any other computer that's working hard, and I work my computers hard. I love the tablet mode as well. I'm coming from another company's tablet mode and this HP is just as seamless.
I have an external hard drive as well and I have had no problems with connectivity at all. I do wish it came with a least one more usb port, but TBH I have a hub that works just fine. In terms of productivity... It's surprisingly wonderful. I use every single Microsoft application and have used them simultaneously with no hiccups. I also tried to test how good this machine would fair work my Adobe products and let me tell you... It's a win!
I typically only use my MacBook for my artsy projects when I have to use Photoshop and InDesign, but this laptop has SURPASSED my ideas and speculations. Now, I've only done my smaller tasks on it, but it still stands up to the test. I only gave it a 4 star because I don't have any other HP products to compare it to. I will be honest...I was sad that my other computer began to act up, but after TWO days of using the 360, I was happy again. It's a great purchase.

The laptop is great, does everything I need and fast (surfing/school work). A little heavy to be a tablet but you could set it up as a tent on a desk with a wireless mouse and keyboard for a mini desktop set up. Would have given it 5 starts but the battery is just OK and it’s a little heavy while in tablet mode. The screen could be a bit brighter too.

This computer provides a great amount of speed and is good for day to day use. It has only 2 USB ports and for someone like myself who is teaching online, that was not enough. It does seem to get very hot at times and runs the fan which is very loud. Otherwise, a good product. Not sure if it is totally worth the $1200 though.

The fan is a bit loud when working however the speed and versatility far out weighs this small inconvenience.
Huge screen is perfect for multiple windows being open at the same time.

This is my third HP-Envy laptop and first touch screen for me. This laptop has worked great so far. It's fast, clear, and does exactly what I need it to do. The sound is not the greatest and the backlit keyboard does make for a little bit of an eye strain when you look at it. Other than that, this is a great laptop.
