Fast, Solid & Sleek
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. After reading several reviews and running into the same road blocks (e.g. Bamboo Ink not compatible & Power Adapter), I have managed to work past them. HP responded to one of the 1 star reviews in regards to the Power Adapter error message and all you need to do is simply download and run the sp82590.exe for the BIOS update (Here's the link again: https://support.hp.com/hr-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-15m-bp100-x360-convertible-pc/16851048/model/18021542). With the Bamboo Ink Pen it works, but you will have to press and hold both buttons putting it in MPP mode (see attached image). Hope this helps.

Great Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop as a Black Friday deal and got a great price. So far, I'm very happy with it. Machine is very fast and responsive. The windows hello login with facial recognition is really fast and pretty cool. With the amount of hard drive space, computing power, and speed this thing has, I should be future proof for a while with this bad boy.

Power Adapter Issue Resolved
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got my ENVY (15M-BP112DX) and I have had issues with my power adapter just like the previous reviews. I just resolved this by updating the BIOS(F.32 Rev.A). First, make sure to submit your review for the right model. (This model was just released into the market in October) Second, download the update for the BIOS in the following link https://support.hp.com/hr-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-envy-15m-bp100-x360-convertible-pc/16851048/model/18021542/swItemId/ob-199913-1 Finally, you're good to go.

Great buy for a great laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extensively researched laptops online as a gift for my son that I knew he would use for video editing and music mixing. Debated between PC and Mac with a price point of under $1000. Excellent reviews on this laptop with specs common to more expensive ones, including the speed and storage capability. It did not disappoint.

Good, with some issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's start with the good: This is a well designed laptop. It's keys function well for someone who types quickly, as I do. It's screen color is accurate, and the screen looks good when you flip it tablet mode. It's fast, and unlike what some reviewers say, it's actually very quiet. Windows Ink also works wonderfully. The facial recognition works perfectly, and I love it. Also, it obviously has a numeric keypad, which I can't live without in my line of work. The bad: The Touchpad. It feels cheap. When I use two finger scrolling, it constantly clicks links, and the mouse pointer doesn't hold its position. It shifts up a half inch each time I slide my two fingers while two-finger scrolling. The constant link clicks while scrolling were maddening, and no amount of HP support, bios updates, or driver updates could fix the problem. In the end HP support suggested I just stop using two-finger scrolling. I ended up disabling tap-to-click instead. (I slightly miss tap-to-click now). When I left click, it's got a sturdy clicking sound. When I right click, it sounds slightly like something is springing out of place. I just figure a nearly $1,000 laptop should feel well built all over. I returned the first one of these laptops I purchased because I believed the Touchpad to be defective, turns out, it's just not a great touch pad since both have the same issues. Second, the keyboard buttons stick for a tiny moment from time time time. The "N" key on my keyboard. I think this and the Touchpad issue speak to the so-so workmanship. Third, the sound is not all that. It doesn't get too loud, even by laptop standards, and the bass is nearly non-existent, even by laptop standards. I definitely think the good outweighs the bad, but if there was another option with a numeric keypad at this price range and the 8th Gen. i7 processor, as well as 15.6" screen, I would look closely at it. But there's really not much out there to compete with this laptop. I stick with windows for my work machines because I need a built in numeric keypad, which my Apple laptop doesn't have. Also, the Windows Ink is a game changer since I am always reading construction plans on PDF, so now I can mark them up as easily as I do a printed copy. Windows machines are much better as far as versatility. But I do wish companies such as HP had the same standards of quality as Apple. My Macbook has wonderful sound, an amazingly accurate and well Built Touchpad, and the over all build quality is outstanding. I just wish I could have the best of both worlds.

Works Great,Replaced 6 year old laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has all the speed and storage needed. Still finding out about the new loaded software included. I did buy a Bluetooth mouse to use rather then one built in because of preference. I chose this laptop because of the processer and storage space. Very satisfied with it.

So far I love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has only been a week but so far I am thrilled with the laptop. I am still getting used to it, especially the part where you flip it and try to use it a tablet. But So far it has been great! Fast, not noisy, works great with a ton of tabs open in Chrome. I had the issue people mentioned with the power cord notification but in the reviews HP told you what to do to get rid of it and now I have no issues. Will update later on. The only thing is in some light I can barely read the keyboard because it is all grey but it is backlit if you want. I am not sure how to turn it on yet though LOL I also don't know if I can get it to talk to type, especially in tablet mode, or at least get it to swype but again, still learning. I got it at Best Buy on black Friday for $729.

Great Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Laptop. Really easy to use, user friendly. The switch between laptop and tablet is seamless and I like that the screen is touchscreen even when in laptop mode. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the charger. Like some of the other reviews, once I plugged in the charger after I purchased it, I got an error message stating that the charger does not have enough wattage for peak performance. I didn't understand it considering it was the plug that came with the laptop but *knock on wood* I haven't seen that error message again. All in all the speed is great, the memory and hard drive is good and it's all around good machine

Awesome ! Best laptop I have used so far...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used Dell and other HP laptops earlier. But this one here is the best out of them. I immediately purchased the same one for my brother. The display is really good for my bad eyes. For 15.6 inch laptop, it is light and not heavy at all. Perfect for coding, have used it with multiple IDEs open and it still works fine. The battery lasts around 6-7 hours (with video streaming and developing tools running) unlike the 10 hours mentioned but that is a good amount of span.

Solid performance & design with some 'quirks'
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a laptop with has great build quality and design, mixed with a great processor and memory which is held back due to weird hard drive and some of it's small day-to-day 'annoyances ' Pros: Great look and build: All metal, polished, very elegant. The quad-core 8th Gen i7 packs a punch, great for software developers and multiprocessing. 16G of RAM is more than you'll ever need. And yeah.. The display is brilliant (although a lot of glare). Cons: The trackpad is pretty bad, using Synaptic drivers which are not precise, not a good click on it - Use a mouse. The Keyboard is ... fine, not well designed at all - sometime hard to read. But you'll get used to it after a while. The biggest issue/drawback is it's mechanical hard drive. Which is kinda slow-ish but also really noisy! Often makes static, clicky sounds... which is acceptable but annoying. Overall, the performance is solid, combined with good display and specs. Great for the price.

Great! Efficient! Fast!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband and I looked, and read so many reviews trying to find the right computer, we landed on this one due to the i7 processor and knowing it would be good for a program for our business. The touch screen makes doing forms and regular searches SO quick! The screen is sharp and incredibly clear, I am in love with this computer!

All I could want, and more!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this laptop! It has more "bells and whistles" then I will ever use, but I love the facial recognition, stability when using as a laptop, and the lightweight when I am using it as a tablet. I love that it is quiet, has a touch screen, fast speed and it's pictures are incredible. Very happy that I bought this 2 in 1.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this laptop! It's fast, sleek and has all the features I need. The backlite for the keyboard turns on/off with 1 easy button. It's loaded with more features than I'll probably ever need and looks great also! It's lightweight and has pretty decent battery life (also charges very quickly) Love, love, love it!

Really great laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has been phenomenal so far! I keep forgetting it’s a touchscreen, but I love that it is, and love that it turns into a big tablet. This machine is fast, and does not slow down when I have multiple programs or tabs open. It’s a big clear screen and I love the keyboard is backlit. I highly recommend.
