Lightening fast printing speeds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP laser jet printer printer offers office style printing speed in a compact and sleek design. Rather or not your printing multiple documents at a time or just the occasional term paper this printer is sure to get the job done in a matter of seconds no matter what the task is at hand. Out of the box you can expect to get the main unit, power cable and imaging unit. For those who have not owned a ink jet printer this set up uses one single imaging unit in place of toner cartridges. Keep in mind this unit is a black and white printer and does not print in color. Connection is made via your home or local wifi and from there documents can be printed from your phone, tablet, or pc all via the same wifi connection. Set up is done through the free app and only takes a matter of minutes to complete. What stood out to me most and honestly has me the most impressed with this unit is how small it is. It is literally half the size of my HP office pro printer which uses ink toners. And even though it doesn't printer in color i still prefer to use this printer due to the fact that most days im printing black and white documents anyways and prefer the speed this printer puts out. HP also claims up to 8,000 prints before the imaging unit should need replacing. This printer like most HP printers offers HP + which allows for easier transition for warranty claims, firmware updates, health check reports and allows for you to sign up for automatic imaging unit replacement and disposals. The paper tray is bottom fed and does not have a separate tray to conceal your fresh sheets. Print quality is very crisp and clean with absolutely no dry times. There are no run offs or breaks as you would see in a typical toner set up and does not require alignment or a ink jet blow out for monthly maintenance. At the end of the day this a very basic ink jet printer but that is not a bad thing. You buy a laser jet printer in order to print multiple pages within seconds instead of minutes and without having to worry about the hassle of blowing through ink cartridges like crazy. As a person who is in management and has a wife in real estate i can say that we are both constantly using the printer and going through ink every month. This printer has definitely cut down time waiting on papers and im sure is going to save me cost on buying ink every month. The fact that this printer is now as affordable as a standard printer has me wonder why anyone would want anything else unless your looking for color.

Love My Little Laserjet Printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP - Laser Jet M110we Wireless Black and White Laser Printer with 6 months of Instant Ink included with HP+ in white is really a technical wonder. The footprint of this printer is 13.6 x 7.5 x 6.3 in, but extends from back to front when you flip the paper feed tray down to insert your letter sized paper.(Please see the attached picture of the printer profile on counter top). I am a self-employed CPA and have used laserjet printers since they have been in use sometime in the 1990s. It is quite amazing that my first HP laserjet was over a $1,000 and ginormous in size in comparison. So, think of this as a mini laserjet printer-it literally is the mini-me version of today's-sized normal laserjet. Even the ink cartridge, the HP141A Black LaserJet Toner Cartridge (~950 pages) is a mini version of the regular-sized cartridge. For the price point of $129+, the specs on this wireless laser printer are quite amazing-only prints in black at a rate up to 21 ppm, (no scan or copy), gets the 1st page out very quickly, with a LED display with 1 input paper tray that can hold up to 150 sheets and print up to 100 sheets in the output bin that accommodates regular and custom sized paper, envelopes, etc. This printer works with both Windows and Mac operating systems. No installation CD comes in the box and I thought that I could use my HP smartphone app to install it like I did with a recently acquired HP+ inkjet printer. However, that did not work out and I wound up calling the 800 number. I was initially routed through 2 departments until getting to the 3rd one which was a charm. With the tech's assistance, I wound up using the HP 123 program on my computer to do the installation. Remember, that this printer's WiFi must be installed on a network of 2.4 GHz and then once that is done you can put your network back to the 5 GHz one. I had to call my rural internet telephone coop for another WiFi set up where they set up this secondary 2.4 GHz speed. With the HP+ stuff it will automatically reset itself to the faster speed, however, I have an older HP laser printer and have still not been able to reset it. So, to a non-IT type of person, this could be a real concern. Also, while the HP techs were nice and respectful, you do have to call during their hours, M-F 8-8 EST, and S-S 9-8 EST. By the way, the technician gave me a code that extended the free ink program from 6 months to 9 months. HP has finally realized that they need to extend their 1 year warranty and I have learned that the HP+ machines have a 2 year warranty plus you can talk to a tech for free beyond that 2 year warranty period if it for something of a non-repair issue like resetting the WiFi to the machine which is good to know. I will also say that the cost of the cartridge probably warrants subscribing to their auto ink HP program. I read in the specs that this machine is intended to work only with either a new or reused HP chip and it further says that it does try to block cartridges that do not use HP chips, using firmware updates to maintain this feature. This is very portable to take on work assignments and use in your home office, your kitchen, etc. which to me makes it a very good thing.

Love the small size of this laser printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I currently have 2 black/white laser printers and love them both. The bad part of both of them is that they are huge and take up a lot of desk real estate. I received the HP LaserJet M110we, and the small printer looked great but had me wondering if it could produce a great print. So, before that, what does the box contain? The printer…of course, has a power cord, the typical stack of HP guides, and the HP 141A toner cartridge. I unboxed the unit and followed the directions. I have HP Smart on other PCs, but the laptop I was installing it on didn’t have it yet. So, I downloaded it from the Microsoft Store and attempted to install the printer. It was a chore to get it installed. Typically, I’ve had great success with the HP Smart App, but not last night. The installation software kept stalling. I would let it run and it would just have a spinning blue ring. I canceled the installation and then fired it back up. It would pick up where it left off and after a try or two, it would advance to the next step or so. Finally, after multiple restarts, I got it installed. I went back to the app, and it said, nope, it still needed to finish the install. I went to the printer settings in Windows 11 and after a few attempts, the drivers and software said done. That was the hardest part. I then made sure all the packing Styrofoam and tape were removed, inserted some paper, and attempted to print. The end of the install had a test page for me, but it didn’t work. I got a print error in the printer settings window, so I canceled that print job and opened a PDF I had for a recent game I downloaded. I clicked print and it printed the manual without issue. I’ve posted a couple of pics of the prints, and I think they look great. With the size of the laser printer as well as how good it prints; this will be a great printer to move about if needed. It’s lite and just needs a power source to plug into. Then connect to Wi-Fi and I’m golden. If there’s any downside to this printer, it’s that at least for me, I had to agree to use genuine HP ink for the life of this printer as well as something else (I think it was tracking the unit or something to that effect). I did decline the 6-month free ink because I just don’t print enough to warrant that. If HP would say the second and/or third cartridge was free, then it would be worth it to users like me. So, would I recommend this printer to a friend? Yes, I would. It works great, you just may have to struggle getting installed as I did, or you may breeze right through it and think my review is incorrect. That’s Windows and 3rd party apps for ya! For me, now that it’s installed on my laptop, I’m able to use it without any issues.

HP's space saving laser printer, fast clean prints
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To me, the highlight of this M110we laser printer is its compact size. See the photo of it on a kitchen chair. That's pretty small. It can be placed most anywhere. The paper tray folds out the front bottom so about 6 inches of paper protrudes from the front of the printer. Ditto the output tray. It folds out the front top, similar to most printers. But, since the trays fold back when not in use, you don't need it cluttering your desk or counter top. I found the toner cartridge which includes the heart of the printer, the GREEN drum roller, listing around $48.00. Not bad for 1000 pages. Its easy to pop in or out. Just remove the orange support and toner ring. Instant ink is a monthly subscription service that sends you a fresh supply of toner before you run out. Saves money too in many ways; not running to find and purchase the new cartridge, roughly half the cost on average of toner replacements. Setup: Okay, this is always a sore spot. I first started with the PC version, but I admit to not reading the prompts carefully. So I had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi. Though the unit comes with a USB port, you must use Wi-Fi to set it up. I had much better luck with my android phone and manually entering the Wi-Fi password. Take the time to read the prompts and expect it to take at least ten minutes. Some cool facts about speed, 21 pages a minute. The W-Fi connection is self healing or as HP states, resetting. This was always a concern in earlier wireless printers. With HP's print anywhere software I use Dropbox and Google Drive to forward my print job while on the go. Even send via FAX. Hard to believe it even can scan documents. Lastly, the cartridges are easily recycled thanks to HP's free program.

ULTIMATE CUTIE PRINTER
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, this printer is hella cute! I mean, it fits in my small table and its prints just as well! I chose this printer because I love that it does not clog even if I have not used it in such a long time and the print is CRISP & CLEAR. If you are looking for a small, convinient, easy to set up printer that is both powerful and affordable, looo no further and get this one. Just plug it, turn it on, connect and you are ready to go!

Another HP printer in my life
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer over 2 years ago and am still on the original laser cartridge. HP printers are always great and this one is no exception. I do remember having some troubles setting up the HP smart print subscription which covers ink but that was the only issue. That in itself is an awesome program because when your cartridge gets low they'll send you a new one. I got on that program when my cartridge was really low and this was the end of last summer, I got sent a new cartridge and my subscription service doesn't actually start until I put that in to my printer which I imagine should occur anytime now but I use that printer often and it just keeps on chucking away at the original print cartridge. The app and ease of connectivity is awesome as well. I typically print stuff from my phone but I can print from anywhere using the email address I setup through the HP smart app. All you do is send the document to that email and it prints. Main reason I got LaserJet is because I don't do much color printing but I do do a bunch of document printing and it prints extremely fast.

Lasted One Year
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very small and perfect for small spaces. It worked very well. Fast. It did disconnect from the internet after not being used for a while and the instructions to reconnect never worked. I had to completely unplug it and then plug it back up to get it to reconnect. It completely malfunctioned when I tried to use the HP instant ink. The printer would not recognize the toner cartridge. HP sent me another one and the same thing. I switched to the original store bought toner and it worked fine. However, it disconnected from WiFi even more frequently. The printer just no longer functions well after just one year.

Good for now
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like my little printer. Compact and prints job very quickly. I am not a huge fan of the HP smart software, and it sometimes will show offline, even when it is online. I will have to reconnect it, but it does the job for now. After getting good use out of it, I will probably go with a different brand.

You get what you pay for...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, this is second HP printer I have bought in the last year that has not lived up to expectations. My first one (an inkjet photo printer) stopped working unexpectedly within 4 months of buying, and after following user guides and YouTube videos for a week, I officially called it a lost cause and ended up trashing it. As a hobby, I print and bind books for myself and others. When I print, I print anywhere between 100-300 pages at a time. I bought this printer because of it's portability, size, price, and I also didn't need any additional features (i.e. - fax, scanner, etc). The machine occasionally overheats. I did not find this anywhere in user reviews for this machine (and I researched for DAYS before deciding to purchase this one). I end up having to wait anywhere between 10-15 minutes for the subunit to cool down before continuing. If I have 20-30 signatures, each containing 10-20 double sided pages, I end up having to wait every 5 of 6 signatures. In addition, because it does not have auto two-sided printing, I have to manually move my signatures and alternate between printing even and odd pages. While this in and of itself is not difficult, this causes the pages to misalign. Therefore I end up with a two-sided page where the margins are different on front and back. I have done all I can to try and fix this, but nothing seems to work. The last straw (and what has made this a 2 star review) is the print quality for text. I am incredibly unhappy with the way my last document just printed. The text is NOT clear and came out choppy. I have two examples, one printed with the laser jet and one with my inkjet photo printer - I think it's most evident in the photos w/o flash. I am printing from a document I created in InDesign, converted to PDF - so it's not an issue with the document. I ended up stopping one signature in and switched to my inkjet for the rest (which is now a canon photo printer that I LOVE), which resulted in using all my blank ink because I had to get this printed one way or another... All in all, if you are printing little to none and don't need all bells and whistles (and also don't mind subpar print quality), this is an OK machine. The black is truly black compared to an inkjet printer which is nice. Setup was straight-forward. Otherwise, PASS and spend the extra $100 for a better quality printer. I am upset I did not get a plan for this because I want to return this machine to purchase a more expensive and overall better printer.

I should've paid a little more 4 a better one.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It james a lot and is hard to unjam at times. You're limited on the paper thickness choices. There aren't really words. Just an arrow and an x within the same circle next to an exclamation point that flashes each time theres something wrong. Also it curls the paper as it prints. The good part is that it prints quickly when it does print. And it saves a lot of space because it's small. A part of me wishes i had just paid the extra money to get a better printer but I got this ine because it was all they had left for the laser choices. At the end of the day, it does its job when it doesn’t jam, so I'm grateful to have it for now. Prayerfully, HP will make an affordable laser printer that is small, fast, reliable, and yet more error friendly when problems actually arise. I think this printer would be great if it gave or even sent a message to the computer with more of an indication of what was wrong or how to free the jams better as they arise.
