Not very easy to set up and to customize for my personal use. Also, it has a few glitches that I cannot correct. For example, sometimes it prints 2 pages instead of one.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer was difficult to set up and has not performed like it should. I can understand why that would be a frustrating combination, so I’ll offer some resources and information that I hope will help.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems. There you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. Visit that page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
You also might find it useful to follow the steps in this guide to document feeders that push through too many pages or fail to pick up paper at all: - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503
If any problem persists, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

We purchased this printer five years ago. We've found it to be very reliable, and no issues the entire time we've owned it.

Works like a charm EXCEPT when printing 1 off envelopes. Numerous false error messages, such out of paper or paper jam or paper wrong size. Sometime solved by removing ALL of the paper.
When my toner runs out, I will try a different vendor.

Avoid this printer

The printer is great when it works. More often than not, it won't connect with my computer. I have no issues with other devices connecting and my previous Bothers computer worked great for years until it died. I made the mistake of purchasing an HP. I will go back to Brothers because this HP is the worst printer I have ever used. I can't count on it.
