HP- Printer
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer and I have had so many issues with it. I've had to reinstall this printer on my computer at least 3 times and I have had to use their tech support (which was great) a few other times to try and help with the issues. It doesn't scan 2 sided I was surprised that is not a standard on printers. It has been more of a pain then being useful. I will be buying a new printer soon

Bait and switch from HP
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be warned. This comes with a smaller-than-normal set of toner cartridges. When they run out, a new set will cost you as much as a new printer. Wish I'd known. I'm dumping this thing.

HP is terrible
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We work hard to avoid buying HP printers. They are terrible. They have terrible software. Like most other HP printers, this one kept dropping the scanner portion. Replaced it with a Canon, and had no issues at all. We bought this printer because it was literally the only printer in the store at the time. Even in spite of that, it still got returned and replaced with a different model.

hp laser is expensive ongoing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i have trouble keeping this printer going. support is iffy when i need help. toner is wayyy to expensive. i would not purchase this item again given the choice. a full set of toner is more than a new printer and i consider it each time i need toner.

This printer is junk.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP support can not upload a firmware update that prevents the printer from constantly losing its connectivity to the network. If you buy this you can expect to spend hours trying the HP diagnostic software fixes to no avail. That will not help. Then you will spend hours more with what was very competent HP support and even they could not fix the hardware defects. Don’t buy this laser jet pro mfp 283fdw or you will regret it.

NOT WORTH PRICE - CONSTANT PROBLEMS
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does not live up to it's high price tag..... 1) Does not print photos well at all even though its description said it does. The colors are very washed out.... prints only come out 50% of the actual color saturation.... 2) Does not stay Wifi-Connected, which is a huge problem. I literally need to turn the printer on and off in between every print job which is very time consuming. 3) Doesn't recognize 2nd paper tray, so it's constantly error-ing if there's no paper in tray #1, which is 'self feed' so I don't like to use it. 4) Printer throws errors every time I use it.... and it didn't even come with a User Manual. When I try to call HP on a number of occasions they told me I could go online and read their troubleshooting page. So the HP support is virtually useless. I've tried my best to make this printer work but it's just a giant clunker that doesn't do the job.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer keeps going off line almost every other day. I have to unplug it and let it sit a couple of minutes each time it goes off line. Also the scanner doesn't work from my laptop

Not Happy
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is difficult to use. Even after it was set up and operational we have to set the printer and restart it to get it to work. This product did not do what we requested from the clerk.

Great little Office Unit
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far this has been great All-in-One Printer, i didn't intend on getting a new printer but the ink for my older one was over half the price for a new printer and it was time. Glad i made the purchase, and been running good since

Paper feed gives error message
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product has turned out to be disappointing. After only a handful of uses, the paper feed error message comes on regularly and will not print any documents. I did all the trouble shooting with negative results. Going to return it and see if I have luck with a new one.

Good Printer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good printer, but slow in wireless mode. Has a very annoying flashing light in the front that can't be disabled. Doesn't mean anything, just is a bother. My old HP 3415, same design lasted 12 years. Hope this one is just as good.

Looks promising BUT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This HP M283 is very difficult to get to work and the small side control panel is just a troublesome way of getting the printer and scanner to work. We had some help but even that did't make it work. Still can't use the printer after weeks of trying, Would prefer to return the expensive printer. Had HP printers before but this one is a headache.

Needs improvement
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a fan of the smart app. I don't understand why I need to create an account to use my $500.00 printer. The online setup is horroable, no paper work to help you. Other than that it is ok.
