Nice printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to try this printer and made note of the dimensions so I would make sure I had a good place to set it up. Be prepared because it is not only big but heavy as well. It was well packaged and very easy to set up. I removed all the packing tape and loaded paper. The toner was already installed and ready to go. I followed the on screen prompts and entered my WiFi password. I had already used the HP Smart app and it immediately recognized my new printer and was set up that quickly. I did have to go into setting in my desk top Mac to change my printer but that was simple. The first print job was a document directly from my iPad to the printer without using the app. Strangely, the print did not print full page and was blurred. The next time I printed using the app and it was perfect. I’m sure the bad first print was probably caused by some formatting issue in the document software. The HP Smart app did the print perfectly. I tried scanning documents, copying documents and all were simple, fast and looked great. This was from from multiple devices and my Mac. The display screen on the printer could be a bit larger but is simple to use. My favorite thing and the least expected was the photo print quality. The color and detail was very nice. I’m anxious to get the recommended photo paper to see how well that works. All in all this printer is probably over kill for my needs. It will do a lot more than I will ever need. My problem, and it is a big one, will be replacing these toners. Four toners cartridges are VERY expensive. I only hope these starter toners will last me a LONG time. If you have a small business or do a lot of color printing and can afford the toner then I think this would be a good choice.

High End Family Friendly
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the moment I unboxed this printer I could not wait to test it out. Set up was SUPER fast. There are only a few steps. Set it where you want it, plug it in, be sure to take off all the protective tape and load paper. Now you are ready to begin set up. Right away in the instructions they offer an app to download to your apple or android device. I have an apple device and the download and signing in to the app was seamless. It walks you through how to connect to the printer wifi initially while you set it up. I would say all in all it took me maybe 5 minutes to download the app, sign in and begin setting up the printer. Set us was super quick. Connect it to your local wifi and wait a couple of minutes while it configures its settings. BAM that was it. I was printing my first test page within minutes of connecting to the printer from the HP Mobile app. Print quality is just what you would expect from HP. Clear and crisp and easy to ready. Images and text both in black and white and color come out fantastic. I quickly went around to other devices in my home (iPad, Windows Laptop, and Chromebook) and I was able to find the printer from each device and print immediately. The touchscreen is very responsive and not overly big. It is great to help you interact with the settings as needed. I love that I can scan from here and print in duplex. Man these prints come out fast. If there was one thing I wish I could change is when it is idle the power button blinks. So that can be a bit distracting in a dark room when you see the light continue to blink. If there is a setting to change it I have not found it yet. It is minor but I would like to change it to off.

Better than expected…
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think there are a bunch of printers out there; however, to pick the right one is not that simple. Well, the choice is going to be determined by your needs and budget. If you’re a person who needs to have all this feature: Printer, Scanner, Copy and Fax, this is the printer for you. Unboxing: pretty easy and ready to go. Conection: You can connect the printer to your computer with a usb cable or wifi, if you wish to use fax you can use the telephone cable which is included. Printer: I’ve used some printers with the same features but I can tell you that the functionality and speed makes it one of the best. Copy: It takes similar time than other brands, so for me it is good and simple. Scanner: I scanned a few documents at the same time and one by one… no problems. Easy way to use your scanned documents and store them. Fax: Good quality average speed (talking about fax, we wouldn't expect that much.) One of main features is the wifi connectivity, with the help of a little lcd screen you can set your printer up to print directly from your phone. I really love the fact that I don't have to use my computer to print sometimes a single document or page. I like the friendly interface that makes the experience awesome. If you’re working from home or have a small office, I definitely recommend you such a good printer all in one. HP has done a really good job with this printer.

amazing printer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.my parents recently bought a printer where I usually stop by to print my personal work, I and i thought their printer was super nice, i’m not much of a printer guy, back then as long as it prints i’m good! but man after finally having my own printer I gotta say this the most amazing printing experience i’ve ever had, everything about this device is pretty simple, printing on this bad boy is so easy, I thought the quality on the print it self was great, girl friend also tried scanning some file for her work thought and was amaze how well it turned out, our favorite feature about this printer would be the double sided print and have the ability to connect to wifi! one thing tho the printer is heavy but i think it make sense for what you’re paying for, this is one serious premium printer that offers a lot of flexibility, and i’m very happy to have this printer! great job HP!

Gone are the days of drivers!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer has so many useful features. The color laser prints are fantastic and on photo paper look like the original photo. I really liked the setup procedure which included a very intuitive color touchscreen that allowed me to enter my network id and password. That was all I needed to set it up. I love the feature that allows you to email your docs or photos directly to your printer as this printer has its own email address! You can leave it open to receive from anyone or you can lock it down to specific users only. Very cool. Next thing you will install is the app. I use android and the app was nothing but a pleasure after downloading the additional required HP print plugin. Now I can print anything that's on my phone directly through the app. This printer is also a scanner, copier, and fax machine if you need those features. I can highly recommend this printer for small business or home use. However, it is bigger and heavier than most home printers Ive used but the features on this printer outweigh its physical weight in my opinion.

Worse HP Printer ever bought

The best affordable laser I've used
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had a plethora of printers and all-in-ones over the years. Most have been inkjet and only one laser printer. No matter how “good” it seems a printer is, after so long, it seems you want more out of it. The biggest thing for me is performance in 2 key areas: print quality and scanning. Of course, speed is a factor in both, but quality is number 1. This leads me to the HP Laser Jet Pro MFP, and the question of why I haven’t purchased more laser printers. This first thing I noticed about this printer was its size and weight. If you are accustomed to the standard inkjet all-in-one office solutions, this baby may seem a bit hefty. Picking up the box gives an immediate indication of the weight. It’s packaged very well, as you may expect, and includes standard fare for usage. It’s taller than a lot of the compact office inkjet printers, but it has about the same footprint. You can typically put this in the same space you would any other printer. Makes me feel HP thought of this when designing it. This was important for me because my printer space is limited and set to only fit for a printer, period. If you’re like most, printers have a spot, so to speak. This fits my spot. Setup was easy. The printer has a nice color display, a decent sized paper tray, a more than adequate document feeder, and pretty handsome overall look. Of course, it allows wireless network connection, but it also has an ethernet port and an old school USB printer port. You can connect in any way you do today, with the exception of the old school pin port. I like the flexibility because I have had cases where I needed to print something from older devices. Printing speed and quality on this laser printer is fantastic. It has been my experience that when all things are equal, inkjet printers produce better document quality. This printer seems to test that thought. Image quality was good to very good but considering the speed at which the HP MFP prints documents, it’s outstanding. This thing can put out about 10-15 seconds in around a half minute or so, and it does so with very good image quality. It also has solid scanning capabilities. Scans are clear, with crisp, detailed document reproduction. It recognizes dual sided documents in the feeder, and will automatically copy them as such. Cool stuff. I really like the HP Laser Jet Pro MFP and recommend anyone looking for an all-in-one to try it! It’s a very capable all-in-one device. It also has fax capabilities, but I don’t even have an analog phone line in my house. The only “negative” about it is purchasing replacement toner cartridges. That alone will deter some from taking the plunge – laser ain’t cheap. Don’t be deterred; you may find that the life of the toner will offset the difference in cost by buying less frequently. My advice is to give this one a spin. When it starts spitting out consistently beautifully printed docs at a very respectable speed, you will be happy you did.

Super easy setup, good feature set, works well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This the perfect printer for most people working at homer. You do not need to be at all technical to use it. The first page takes the longest to come out of course, but it’s about the same as any other color laser I’ve used. After that it’s a brisk 22 PPM. Unpacking is easy, put the box on its side and slide it out. Best to do this on the table the printer will reside on it is heavy at 41 pounds to lift off the floor. Then pull off the packing foam and remove several pieces of orange tape used to secure the trays and panels during shipping. No fussing with unpacking toner cartridges or prepping them, they are all in and ready to go. Setting up the printer was the easiest I’ve ever done. Add paper, plug it in, plug in an Ethernet cable or choose Wi-Fi in setup, answer some questions on the screen on location, paper size, Wi-Fi or cable, and the printer is ready. You can view and change the setting in a web browser by inputting the printers IP address, which you can get from a configuration printout on the printers LCD screen. I downloaded the HP Smart App on my iPhone. The printer was found, configured and I was printing my first item within two minutes. The amount of toner left shows as bars on the home screen. You can select to print pictures or other files from services including Google Drive, DropBox, EverNote, Facebook, a PC, a server, and pictures or documents on your phone. You can take a pic of a doc with your phone and print or fax it from the printer when away from the scanner. Very useful for those who travel allot. I printed some doc files and pictures and they looked good, rivaling a good inkjet printer on plain paper. On my PC I went into Device Manager and the printer had already installed itself. I printed a few items and then received a notice in my System Tray that an HP App was available for download from the Microsoft Store. A quick download, install and it was set. No questions to answer, it set itself up and worked flawlessly for me with printing, scanning and faxing. It also allows you to see and edit the printer settings within the app. As with other printers these days, no software ships in the box. As is typical for most home/small workgroup printers, this one has a 250 sheet paper tray, I would prefer a 500 sheet page so I can dump a whole ream of paper in it. Fewer refills, and no half ream of paper sitting loose collecting dust. There is also a 1 sheet manual feed tray for envelopes and the occasional legal size sheet. A built in duplex tray allows effortless double sided printing. Scanning however is single sided. I would expect to see a double sided scanner at this price on an otherwise well optioned all in one printer. B&W All in One printers at $125 have double sided scanning. If you do allot of double sided work, you may want to look at other printers. It’s about as quiet as a laser printer can be. There is some noise, it’s louder than an inkjet. You may not want to call sitting next to it, but with it several feet away in the same room is OK. The color screen is large enough, very responsive and easy to use. Overall the printer works well and has a good feature set. . The only downsides I found was the lack or two sided scanning and the cost of color toner. The colors that go fastest are available in extra-large cartridges which helps lower the cost per page.

Absolutely superior color laser all in 1 printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Features galore, wow, not sure where to begin my list of kudos for Hewlett Packard. First, wireless setup was speedy and a piece of cake thanks to the superb set up software that made it a pleasure to print from my 3 Apple computers, my Dell all in one computer running the latest version of windows, and my iPhone. The printer design is attractive/efficient, and makes for extreme ease in loading paper of most any size, or replacing toner cartridges. Large paper storage tray, AND a special slot for loading single blank pages of unique texture, thickness, etc., for special tasks. The 2 sided printing worked flawlessly and has been saving me time and paper. As for time, this printer comes to life in seconds and prints both quietly and rapidly (my estimate being tween 20 and 25 PPM). Control of the printer via the HP software, or via the electronic touch panel was fast and easy. I have been printing mainly on "ordinary" copier paper, and marveled at the quality. I am not talking about B&W print, rather, printing pages with color photos. The quality was tantamount to printing on photo paper as the colors were crisp/true, and the images sharp. Finally, the cost of printing a page in B&W or color. I have not had the printer long enough to know how long the toner cartridges last, but based on the HP specs, I believe my cost per page of B&W or color will be 1/3 the cost I am currently experiencing with my Epson ink jet printers. Bottomline: Superior speedy printing, copying, scanning and Faxing. EASE OF USE, attractive appearance in a compact footprint, and quiet to boot.

Big and Quick.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It deserves an additional half star. The works are terrific, colors are spot on, and ease of operation is-easy. Only issue is to be prepared for the size, as it is large in all 3 planes. Recommend a desk top or similar mount as it takes most of the foot space when used under desk top.
