While I wont go so far as to call this a workhorse, it is a solid laser printer. We have a fleet of around 17 devices and have only had on failure. We are also running MICR toner through a few and have had good success printing checks. It's a reliable product and our go to for print needs. For field users we deploy this device plus the Best Buy warranty. It is NOT worth shipping it for repair services due to the pain of packaging and shipping. I don't usually like extended warranties but in this case its worth considering. Funny that as I write this review I get an 800 call about my car's extended warranty. I drive an 06 tundra, which is even funnier than the warranty call. Cheers!

I needed a laser jet that would spit out half decent proofs to check layout and contrast more than actual photographic quality and this gets the job done well. My one negative is that although I was aware that duplex printing wasn’t automatic, manual duplex contradicts what HPs website says in terms of how to feed the paper for accurate A side and B side printing.

Compact yet great performance. I tested with one, used for 5 weeks and gone back got a second one. Very quiet, fast printing, easy setup, best of all, it is wireless printing. Worth every penny.

Bought this printer to replace older HP laser printer for our community fair. We didn't have any issues and I had also bought a extra cartridge but we got through our entire fair week just using the one that came in it!

Love this printer replaces a older laserjet. Being a tax accountant having a reliable printer during tax season is a must this fits the bill.

I recently had a replacement printer at work of the same model. While I was impressed with the speed and quality, I also elected to check out the offerings at BB. Good overall comments to back up other purchasers, but when they offered almost a 50% savings, too good to be true. I'd highly recommend this as your next replacement printer for the quality, speed, ease in set up and most off all, the price.

Works fine wish it was wireless. We actually thought it was and was disappointed when we set it up. I would recommend the wireless version but if you want a wired printer and save a few bucks this is fine

This was bought to relieve some of the printing from the work group network printer. It surpasses my expectation for the heavy use it is getting

This is a great, durable little printer that shoots out 40 pps and costs around $150 or so. Buy remanufactured high-yield toner cartridges from a reliable retailer and you're all set. I just bought a new one to replace an identical one I had been using with no problems for over 10 years. If you're just pumping out words, you can't beat it.

In short, this is a compact laser printer that offers the necessary functions for a large number of professionals and small businesses. It is ready to receive print jobs from your mobile and both through a cable connection and WiFi. Its capacity in terms of volume and speed of printing is balanced with respect to the final price.

I have a color printer, scanner, copier, but I needed to replace an old LaserJet to print word processing documents and Court forms for my work and to easily print envelopes. This printer filled the bill in all aspects. Was easy to install and operation was "clueless". Great Product!!
