I have been using this printer for a few weeks now without any issues. However, it took about four hours to get the printer up and running properly. Initially, I elected to download the software from the CD that came with the printer instead of selecting "Download" the most current software version from the internet. After four hours of trying to resolve communication issues between the printer and my desktop computer that uses the Windows 10 operating system, I decided to start all over. I removed all the HP printer software from my computer that I downloaded from the CD. I then went to the HP online site and downloaded the appropriate software; then everything worked without issues. On the downside, I was not provided an option to load the software to a drive other than "C". Also, HP included a lot of other software with the download that I do not think is needed and which takes up precious room on the "C" drive. After some indepth research I still cannot determine out of the eight HP software packages downloaded which ones can be eliminated and still have the printer function properly. I was also shocked to discover a refill black ink cartridge cost around $65.

Keep having problems connecting to the wifi

I have this printer two weeks, and I keep having problems in the wireless connection. Pages printed stop in the middle, restart connection should be done again and again and not always resolve the problem. I've seen this issue reported by others but thought it will not be in my apartment as I have a wireless connection in the same room as the printer. Unfortunately, its not the case. I could print some pages but couldn't find the way to keep the printer connected. I have no problems with any other device. Im returning this printer back to bestbuy and will replace with any other model that can ensure good connection. The printer itself is not bad, compact for my small apartment, good quality of the printing but the copy feature degrades significantly from the original. Im talking black and white and no color copies. So take that into consideration as it seems the scanner is not on the best quality. This is all I can say until now. Frustrating overall that a new printer has such low quality of connection.

      Hi there,

I'm so sorry to hear that the printer isn't maintaining a steady connection to your network. I can certainly understand how inconvenient this must be and I assure you that it’s far from the seamless experience that we intend on providing. With that said, let's try a few things to remedy this.

First, I'd recommend taking the recommended steps in this 'Offline Printer' document:
      - Windows: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04249080
      - Mac: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04249334

As a supplement to that, this link will guide you through solutions for a wide range of other wireless issues: hp.dezide.com/ts/start.jsp?guide=Printer_Does_Not_Maintain_Wireless_Connection.net

If this falls short, I hope you'll consider reaching out to us for support. Although you did mention you'd be returning the printer, I want to let you know that we'd be more than happy to work with you on resolving this. When it comes to printers UP is the king. Specially LaserJet. I still have a color nnetwork LaserJet one I purchased 12 years ago with the trial cartridges that came with it. The black is finally low after all this time. Now the newer ones have less yeald per cartridge then the older models but they are worth every penny. LaserJet tones is powder and you don't have to worry about cartridges drying out like the inkjet. This all in one is perfect for home use and black & white is good enough these days. No need to print pictures since you can send to shutterfly or others for pennies to be printed and shipped to anyone.

I am absolutely loving having a laser printer. I got so tired of having to replace inkjet cartridges, especially the color ones, when I primarily print in black and white. This comes with the ink toner cartridge already installed with an expectancy of two years usage out of it. I don't have to worry about changing it for a long time. This is an all in one so I can also copy and scan when needed. It prints smoothly and quickly, unlike back and forth inkjets, and the print quality is good. This is smaller than my old injet printer, it takes up less room on the desk, and I like the white color. Also the flat top on it makes it looks so much nicer. Just an all around great printer.

We have been wanting to try a laser jet printer for some time. When our last inkjet printer clogged...AGAIN...we decided it was time. We don't use our home printer that much but needed to have a reliable one for our son, who's in high school now. Decided on the M130 based on reviews and great price. Was easy to get up and running-although driver no longer available for our old desktop, easily paired with our laptops and phones. This is a black and white printer and gives great deep quality blacks. Still printing with the cartridge that came packaged with the printer!

Everything works fine until I tried Windows 10 wireless direct printing bypassing WiFi router connection. I could use wireless direct printing on my Windows 8 PC, but it was impossible for me to do the same thing on my new Windows 10 PC. I guess the driver was made only for Windows 8, and the same driver may not work for Windows 10. Except this tiny issue, everything is fine. Through WiFi, I can print from iPhone, iPad, Windows 8/10 PCs.

After having it for a month now, it does everything it is meant to do. I used to own HP printers before, just for printing and my experience with them has always been bad mainly because ink goes to waste rather quickly after 5 uses. But this printer, while the toner costs like $65 which is too much but hey, that's why there are third party toners haha, but I digress, as I was saying, the toner still has enough to print or make copies. Forget inkjet, it's all about laserjet baby. I highly recommend this printer to anyone. Got it for $99+ tax and shipping.

Not a huge printer fan! I tend to get easily irritated by printers. Having tried Epson recently and been very upset I went back to HP. Tired of sucking up ink and lines in the print I went for the Laser Jet by HP. This one was easy to set up, got her to print the second try. It can also be connected using wireless or a USB cable included. Also liked this printer because toners are not pricey. You can scan, one by one, doesn't have a feeder. Serves my purpose, if you scan large documents; this might not be the right one for you. I totally recommend it!

My old printer died. I looked at what I wanted and decided on the HP Laserjet Pro MFP M130--based on the usual review of comments. The printer was easy to install, works well, and for the price was what I needed immediately. It arrived in 2 days, a shorter time than a letter to SLC. The price was the best I found. I haven't purchased anything at Best Buy for maybe ten years--but am so satisfied this is my new go-to store. No complaints!!!

As other reviewers have mentioned, the setup process is a bit burdensome. Finally made sure that I downloaded most current package from HP website, and connected a laptop to the printer via USB in order to perform the setup. Chose the “wifi direct” capability, which bypasses my router, and left 2nd older PC connected via USB. Eveything now working fine, both scanning and printing, from two different machines. Glad to be done w ith inkjet cartridges...

I needed to replace my inkjet printer that had stopped working. I was determined to not get another inkjet because the ink cartridges dry out from infrequent use. I saw this HP Laserjet on sale for an excellent price and I have been happy with my purchase. The only compromise I had to make was giving up color printing (which I rarely used anyway). So if color printing is not a requirement, put this item on your list of considerations.

Never had a problem with my old epson printer connecting to my Mac or wi-fi. But this HP is awful and does not work. I have spent hours talking to HP tech support and they have hijacked my computer to change settings, etc. It might print when they are on the line but then it goes back to malfunctioning as soon as they are no longer on the phone! It will either not connect at all, or it falls asleep, pauses print jobs. I hate it. I can't do my job without a printer... I will never buy an HP product again!

the size of the printer and the quality of the output is very good. Setting up the printer in a wireless configuration was very easy. Setting up the Apple print has been a challenge. Minimal set up instructions provided with the product and still not able to print from Iphone and Ipad with Air Print or Wireless Direct after 2 calls with HP support. I am sure with the right HP support person we will make the the Apple print work.

One of the negativity that I would always get from ex HP printer users is that the ink hardly last for more than a week. However, this being a laser printer, have printed more than 50 sheets of work, receipts and for shipping items, the toner still has enough left. It's been over 2 or 3 months and still has enough toner to print or make a copy. Definitely the best All in One minus the fax which it doesn't have but that's fine.

I needed a wireless printer for printing miscellaneous receipt and documents without going downstairs to my office. So I bought this inexpensive HP printer. Setup was pretty good and the printer prints really well. The only draw back is I have to reload printer software occasionally because it stops receiving the wireless print command. It's a pain to continue to reinstall software.

Printer works great but was a booger to get installed onto network and Windows 10. I had to install with a printer cable (took 3 times of install and uninstall). Connecting to the network without the cable would not work and the instruction/pictures were not quite the same as on the printer. All that being said now that it's working it's great. Works great with ePrint and direct from phone.

Pros: Very light, easy to set up. Does not take up as much space as my old printer, and does the job. Cons: There is no guide for the buttons on the front, hard to figure out what to do for basic tasks, BUT you can find it on line. The print is not as crisp as my old laser. 'Falls asleep' sometimes and you have to restart it. If you have favorite old software it is likely not to recognize your printer, so I am looking for 'next gen' of my favs.

Tired of purchasing expensive cartridge migrated to a laser printer. The laserJet Pro MFP is ideal for home use when colored copies are not required. Lose one star for repetitive attempts to connect to my blazing internet, but otherwise solid in every respect. Copies are crisp, scans are effortless and printing is absolutely acceptable for home use. Value for $ is uncompromising in my opinion.

After growing tired of forking over more & more money for expensive ink cartridges. I️ researched laser printers. This HP was the same price as many ink jet printers. Very easy to set up. Have only had it for a few weeks & it is working well. Print jobs look great & so far has been reliable.

Great printer. This printer works great, is fast and wireless works great. The only thing about this printer that was hard for me was the installation. I called Hewlett Packard and they helped with every step, they dialed into my computer and set it up for me. You can print directly from your phone !
