The printer is good but within 1 year of purchase , printer drum got bad and ink was all over inside the printer. Called HP, they said warranty expired. I had extended warranty....

It’s a bit noisy and when printing large documents it begins to smell. I own other HPs and this one is my least favorite. It prints and scans well; just the noise and smell as an issue

sometimes, people just need to fax. And that's not an easy thing to do these days. Carrier pigeons would be easier, but if you need to fax, I guess, this is a great product to have for that.

Works as advertised except for IP following which breaks when IP changes. Static IP will correct this problem or use of USB if you don’t need network or mobile printing. We went with static IP since we want mobile print capabilities.
Otherwise works as advertised.

Hooping to save $$ on ink

I bought this printer because I hate paying $$ for ink cartridges that run out so quickly. I mostly print black and white so this seemed a good alternative.
So far I'm mostly satisfied. Downloaded the software to my MacBook and was able to see the printer there and on a PC also. Haven't gotten the "automatic wake-up" or print from my smartphone to work yet. I plan to work on that shortly.

I tried numerous times to connect this item wirelessly without success. I now just use it on one computer with a USB connection. Not what I had in mind at all. Also when I set up the fax system to my phone it would throw the fax signal on an already in progress talk telephone conversation. I finally had to unplug the line. The documentation is basically non-existent with just a little 2 page how to get started thing. Unless you go on line and load a PDF you're in the dark. The print is nice tho...but the setup compared to my previous Brother printer (retired) was a shock.
