Unfortunately I didn't buy this for myself but for my boss. But I get to use it whenever I want I I love it. I mainly use it to make cable labels and equipment labels that mainly are used outside. I never have issue with the labels smearing or wearing away. Having the colors means I can also put logos or color identifiers on my labels as well which adds to the appeal of the labels.. replacing the toner cartridges is on the pricey side but they seem to last enough print jobs to not be excessive.

It is very new, but so far so good. Prints very fast. Easy to connect to our Mac. Easy to install and connect to our WiFi. Highly recommend.

Love the quality, so happy I upgraded to a laser printer. This was super easy to set up, quick and great print quality.

Best printer I have ever owned!! Will never go back to injet printers with dried out ink cartridges and low yields for per cartridge pages printed!!! And the M281fdw is a full color laser printer all-in-one. Still using the starter cartridges that came with the printer as of the day of this review!! Would have had to purchase more ink at least twice for my old inkjet printer. And the color print quality is above average for this laser printer.

It’s quiet. I can print from anywhere in the house. I can print from my phone, tablet and computer. The whole family loves it!!

This is by far the best printer I've ever owned. It ware recommended to me because I go long periods of time before I print at times. So ink jets always dry out on me. This it's toner which lasts much longer and can't dry out. I carm print from anywhere home or on the other side of the world which is awesome. And you can find all 4 toners for as low as 56 for all 4 on azon for non hp brands which is great. Hp is 76 for just one timer color. So it's totally worth it.

Great printer! Makes great copies and scans. Better than the $6000.00 machine at work. The color photos are good too although it's not a photo printer. The toner that came with it lasted a year! Never again will I go back to an ink jet. The only complaint is that it loses network connectivity at times. It's an HP issue as ALL my network printers have done that. At least this one is easy to fix. Sometimes I think it does it itself. GREAT PRINTER... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My HP connects wirelessly well, it prints good and scans easily with Windows Scan.

Great quality printer. Compact, great color on color prints and copies. Only downside is doesnt scan both sides. Would buy again.

Some difficulty with setup, but then afterwards it has high quality, is fast and user friendly.

I have had my printer for a while now and feel I can report. I love the quality of printing and the speed it prints. It is fairly fuss free. Be prepared for an investment as the laser cartridges are expen$ive, but last a long time. Long term investment is good. HP support is pretty poor. Online help guides primarily. I created a case and sat on hold for 45 minutes and then the phone cut off. Was on hold another 20 minutes and the same thing happened.

I’ve been waiting for a laser printer that could print double-sided automatically as well as envelopes. This printer does both seamlessly. And because I’m able to print over WiFi, I can send documents from anywhere in my house using a mobile device or unattached laptop. Thanks HP for delivering the best printer yet.

This is my first laser printer and I love it. It is so much faster than any of the inkjets I had previously. It makes you wait a second or two for that first page but then they come out in rapid succession. The quality of the printing is great and the colors are beautiful. I was very happy with the size of the printer, it doesn't take up any more desk space than the ink jets did although it is a little taller and heavier. Another thing I love is how long the toner lasts. I bought the printer in January, its now October and I am still using the starter cartridges. There are alerts that let you know if the cartridge levels are getting low and then very low. You can snooze the alert for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or two months and you can also change when it starts to alert you. I have mine set to let me know when any cartridge reaches 10%. In the software it says that the toner does not need to be replaced unless the print quality suffers. I have new ones on hand ready to go, however the cartridges it came with have been "Very Low" for almost two months and they are still printing fine. I scan a lot of documents and this feature works well. It hasn't jammed on me. It was easy to set it up to scan to a network folder. All of my scans now go straight to a folder on my desktop. Of course my PC has to be on for that to work. :) I can even print from my phone which is convenient. I have no need for the fax features so I cannot comment on them but for general printing and scanning I can definitely recommend this printer.

This printer was purchased to replace an HP All-in-One Inkjet. I was tired of having to replace ink cartridges every time I needed to print something! The problem is/was, our family simply did not use the printer enough to actually use the ink before it dried out! We still do not use the printer a whole lot, however, everyone is pleased with this printer so far. We have printed from Windows computers, Android phones, and an iPad Pro with NO issues! The printer responds in about a 3 second delay from "hitting" a print button from any of our devices. This is a far cry from the inkjet that refused to print from most devices in our household! I do not print photos very often anymore. I am aware of the superior quality of photos coming from an inkjet versus a laser printer. We did print an 8x10 nature photo that turned out reasonable for its size and photograph quality. However, if a ultra high quality photo is needed, I can use a local photo print service for the few times I might need to print. Even though this printer has fax capabilities, we have not used this feature and do not plan to. We have not yet used the scanning feature of this printer, so I cannot comment on its functionality. I am eager to use this property, however I do not have an immediate need. In summary, time will tell if this printer can maintain its 5 star rating. Based on our printing habits, I do not anticipate having to change toner cartridges anytime soon. That will be a known large expense when the time comes. Ultimately, that should be less expensive than changing inkjet cartridges that are dried out from lack of use!

This laser printer does it all. It was easy to setup and the wireless capability allows you put it anywhere in your office.

This printer in the first few weeks we've had it has been amazing. The print quality and speed is astounding. We had a Brother multi-function unit for years, and I don't think it ever printed as well as this does. We've had some trouble with the wireless printing functionality at first, but we're working through that to get settings correct so that part is flawless as well. Overall, highly recommend this on limited experience with it thus far.

This printers does a great job printing. Using paper with ColorLok does a much better job when I am printing and I need to print on cardstock because of what I use it for, The heaviest weight of paper with ColorLok technology is 32 lb and I need at least 65 lb. HOWEVER, this is NOT a printer problem as far as the printer quality. It does an excellent job and I am very pleased with its performance.
