    Prints well but 3 major flaws....

    I bought this to replace a similar 6 year old HP printer that was having software/firware update issues. I was excited to have wifi printing abilities but that also seems to the major downfall of this printer. 1. If you use wifi printing, you CANNOT use a USB or Ethernet cable. Once any print cable is plugged in it automatically turns off the wifi feature. Which means you can't hardwire to the home computer and print wifi from your laptop or ipad. 2. The printer also goes to sleep and turns off automatically. There is NO override on this. The maximum is sleep/1hour or off/8 hours. This totally defeats the purpose of a wifi printer. Telling something to print does not automatically wake up the devise, you must physically go to the machine and turn it back on. 3. IP address issues with wifi. Every time the printer restarts it has a new IP address, so your computer will keep telling you device or drivers found. You have to go into your router settings and tell it to use a static ip address for this device. I was able to do this after a little research on my specific router, but not everyone is comfortable making those changes without some sort of technical support. On a positive note the print quality is great. I would only recommend if you don't care about wifi printing from ipads/phones/tables/etc... Disappointed in HP considering the price and the lack of override options. Just like our computers, we should have the sleep/power options of NEVER doing those things automatically.

    Hard to judge when it never works

    I purchased this due to a great sale at Best buy related to the features that came standard on this unit. Unfortunately, it NEVER worked. The drivers would not load on my Windows 10 machine. I tried nearly a dozen times, and ultimately had to get in to the registry and remove all HP drivers and try again. Eventually, it would load, but would freeze on printing, or print one page but no more. A call to HP cost me nearly 2 hours of my time, plus another hour if not more of them being remotely in control of my computer attempting everything under the sun to get it to work, and still nothing. I was told that it would be elevated to their higher tier tech support and they would call me. I was asked when I would be available the following day, and told them I could be home at a certain time, and they said great, they will call you then. I left work a little early, only to get home and wait for nothing. It would never connect to my wifi, which every other device had no problems connecting too, including the Brother printer I ended up buying instead of this unit. I can't give it one star cause I can't say that the features wouldn't be useful to those who can utilize it, but it simply didnt work for me.

    Was ok-now its needs to be repaired

    Printer seemed to print fine but now, 14 months after buying it, lines are appearing on the side of the documents and HP service says it has to be repaired.. It's a fuser problem and a customer can't repair that. I have only printed about 490 documents so its rather ridiculous that I'm having this problem. So based on my calculations this printer so far has cost me 81 cents a page. Not planning on buying another HP.

    3-Months Later and it’s Fouling Up

    I purchased this for two of my employees to share in my office and just 3 months after we purchased it, the printer started making weird noises and now has connection issues and jamming issues. HP Printing is no bueno. That’s the last time I fall for it.

    Does not print 2 sided

    This product does not print 2 sided automatically. You must flip the copy manually to print 2 sided. I returned this item and purchased a Canon. I would not recommend buying this product.

    although this printer was wireless, we had connectivity issues - not sure if it was the printer, the router, or the internet provider - we returned this printer in exchange for a Canon printer

    This is an amazing printer until you have to buy ink for it and realize that you might have to dig in your retirement fund if you want to be able to afford printing again.

    Manual Dual Sided Printing

    Don't buy this printer if you're expecting to be able to automatically print both sides of the page. It's a manual process. Print one side, then reinsert the page and print the other side. Horrid!!!!!

    The ADF (automatic doc feeder) did not work at all. I rely on this feature to scan documents through quickly, and it jammed every time, even with just one page loaded.

    Difficult printer to set up using windows 10. Constantly disconnects from network. I have wasted 10 hrs on phone with tech support over several days

I understand you have successfully connected your printer to a wireless network, but the connection drops.
