Its fast, quiet and prints clearly. The need for ink cartridges doessn't exist with this machine. Simply use packaged ink powder as necessary.

After some initial set up, which was easy and quick, I could begin printing immediately. Setting up the Wi-Fi was quick and easy and I was able to print from my iPhone within minutes. This is a great reasonably priced black-and-white printer. So far we are very happy.

Setup was easy. Cool free app included. App has several templates to help with quick projects. Prints on both sides. Prints fast. Paper tray is covered preventing dust from collecting in tray. Great printer!

I bought the HP Laser Jet Tank MFP 2604 sdw in mid April of this year. My main interest was in the tank toner concept. I had used mainly inkjet printers before and was tired of clogged nozzles and expensive replacement ink cartridges. The printer is connected to a Mac Mini M1, and using it has been a mixed bag of experiences. These are my observations, and are not necessarily totally complete or absolutely accurate – your experience may vary. The Pros: The tank concept is good in practice. Although, so far, I have only printed a few hundred copies I can tell already that this printer “sips” toner. I believe HP’s claims regarding toner usage may be accurate. However, I suspect this is mainly because the printer is using less toner per print resulting in print quality which is mediocre to acceptable. Prints lack contrast and legibility in many cases. The scanner is adequate. It does not scan both sides of documents in one pass, but that is to be expected on a printer at this price point. So far the sheet feeder seems to work well. The scan program is fairly good, though it does not allow for “stitching” together separate scans. Multiple passes and a supplemental PDF handling program are probably needed in certain cases. Customer Service is responsive and friendly, but in my case was unable to help me to obtain a proper and fully functional setup in USB mode. The Cons: While the printer can be setup and will offer basic print functions using a USB connection it is optimized for use while connected to HP’s servers via a network that is online enabled. This means that some of the controlling functions will be hobbled unless the computer is online and connected to HP. Also, some of the diagnostic and reporting functions are only available in their most complete form on HP webpages – some reports can be printed directly from the printer itself. There are also certain functions adjustable only while in online mode. None of the customer service people I spoke to contradicted my assessment of diminished operation while in USB mode. HP is almost forcing customers to be connected to HP in order to fully operate their printers. I will not have my printer always online so that HP can monitor my printing activity and try to upsell me products and consumables at every turn. I accept the limitations of printing via USB, which include but may not be limited to not being able to control printing density, or adjust the number of prints or control print size measured in a percentage of page size from the printer’s control panel. Some of these functions can be controlled through the computer print menus, so there are some work arounds. My experience using this printer has been a complete departure from using other HP's in the past. However, I think if the user completely buys into HP’s network model they’ll be fine with this machine. Otherwise, I couldn't recommend it. Keep in mind HP will constantly be looking over your shoulder, you’ll have limited offline capability, and they’ll constantly be pitching you their subscription model for consumables, etc.

Printer very was easy to set up. Prints well, good so far.

A+ for a cheaper printer in black and white it is EASY to use and has nice quality.....plus in terms of ink cost nothing is better

I really feel that a HP printer is the way to go! Always prints very well. The ink is great! Hardly ever jams, great for the money!!

So far so good! The settings are a little hard to understand but it has printed nicely and it was on a great sale.

I’ve purchased three HP Laserjet Tank MFP 2604sdw printers in the past 2 weeks. The first installation was easy with no problems and the printer works great. I am really impressed with the automatic paper feed for 2-sided printing. That setup was so easy and the printer worked so well that I ordered two more for another location. The installation was a horrible experience for the later two. I was unable to get those printers installed due to the error code 79 issue reported by many other reviews. I attempted to get HP phone support to help, but they ran out of ideas that I could perform and I didn’t want to allow them remote access via my laptop. It wasn’t until I turned OFF the default Iv6 network option as a few other reviewers have suggested. I don’t know if or why Iv6 may be needed. It would be good for someone with more knowledge on Iv6 would add comments. It would also be good for HP to mention this information in their instructions or online troubleshooting tools. One other thing to note. The installation that went smoothly was on an internet provider other than Xfinity and the two that wouldn’t install correctly were connecting to an Xfinity router. Is it possible that there is a compatibility issue with Xfinity rather than a difference between the printers that didn’t work??

Once I got it going it DOES WORK and we'll see if it is affordable in the long run. I was once an all in HP printing guy but then came HP's campaign to have us all spending lots on ink!! I do not have many ink jet printers and I'm back trying HP laser printers. This one seems to have the features (double-sided printing, scanning, wireless) I want so when I saw you can refill the toner tank as well - I'm sold!! The set up was clumsy at best but I persevered and got it connected wirelessly to our network. Quality seems OK but nothing special. I hope that HP's toner is affordable but don't know as of now.

I am very happy with HP priner. This model is very affordable because it has ink tank, which will last for 5000 pages. The ink is also very cheap, so this is very good deal. I highly reccomend this model.

Easy Manual Setup Directions. Only feature used so far that can be frustrating is having to consistently reconnect to it wirelessly while providing access to devices location, blutooth and nearby share programs as well as manually wake and reconnect the printer each time by physically having to touch the screen to accept connection.

so far so good works great got on sale to replace inkjet printer. so i don't have to deal with dried up cartridges anymore comes loaded with toner if all you need is black and white then this printer will work awesome for you build quality seems good easy set up and easy to print from anywhere with hp smart app would definitely recommend even Beter if you can catch it on sale
