I purchased this all-in-one printer to replace my older all-in-one. The main selling point for me was the Auto-Feed system for scanning paper, and the "double-sided" scanning function. However, THIS PRINTER DOES NOT HAVE BUILT-IN DOUBLE SIDED SCANNING FUNCTIONALITY. I emphasize that because the website was very vague about this 2-sided scanning function. Many entry-level units that have 2-sided scanning have a 2-pass function, which automatically scans one side, then scans the other without adjusting anything. This unit requires that you scan a stack of papers, then flip them over and re-feed them in to the scanner. The SOFTWARE then puts them all together. This sucks up a lot of time (on top of the fact that it's a rather slow scanner). The fact that this functionality takes place in the software leads me to place this in a category with other 1-sided scanners, which can be even cheaper than this unit. If a simple all-in-one is what you need, this works, plus gives you some nice options. It wasn't for me, so I returned it and got an Epson XP-7100.

We could not turn down the sale price of this printer, but unfortunately the toner costs more than the printer itself. It prints great.

The print quality is great on this printer. I printed some color pages and went through a cartridge, but my ink plan ordered one and it was here in under 5 days.

The printer has good quality of printing image, scan function also works very well, the image is clear

I love the fact that i was able to link it to my Surface RT. at first i had purchased an LG exterior hard drive to be able to install the HP 3830 printer on to my Surfac RT, but the LG driver was no compatable with my Sureface RT,,, got my money back from Best Buy, and went with the On Line Printers "3830 all in one series" Down Loads from the HP website, It took about 20 Minuets,,, at the end i got what i wanted with out havig to spend any extra money,, and I was happy.. Thanks

I love my wireless printer it is a joy to print from my phone when I am upstairs and the printer is downstairs. Much more convenient for me.

Great all-in-one printer/scanner/fax machine. Inserting the ink catridges can be a slight hassle, but overall it’s a great printer.

We bought this for my wife's in-home business and it works great! The thing she lioves about it is that it is wireless so she can print from anywhere she is working.

I read reviews on many printers before I decided on the OfficeJet 3830. I really didn't want the paper tray in the upright position in the rear of the machine, but its been ok. The output paper tray could have been built better but it does the job. I had read reviews that it was hard to connect to Wi-Fi if your modem was a certain distance from the printer. My modem is 2 rooms away & had no problem whatsoever. Super easy to set up once you get it home. I also joined the HP Instant Ink plan. If you only print occasionally like I do (50 pages a month), for $2.99 a month is a no brainer.

No cords, works from any where in my house. I don't have to be near the printer to print. Just program it onto computer and push the button to print.

This OfficeJet 3830 Wireless All-In-One is easy to setup and works very well on WiFi. I am printing documents from phone now.
