    This printer is in the category where you know that the manufacturer is always going to make money from the supplies and not necessarily from the printer. Speaking of supplies, HP Instant Ink is an interesting proposition and I have run the numbers for several instances and it does look like it could save money in the long run. Time will tell if this printer will hold up as well as some of the older units.

    I haven't had any issues with it in the 3 months I've owned it. Ink runs out fairly quick though when you're printing off your kids assignments, but that's not the printer's fault. In the end it does the job. You do have to download the program to connect the printer to the computer, but I assume most printers are like that now.
