When I was setting up my printer I was puzzled because the paper feed wasn't fitting the standard 8.5 paper. I looked online and at the reviews which all said 8.5 inch width paper worked. The instructions on the booklet said to adjust the feeding bracket for the paper. The diagram only shows pushing the paper feed bracket inward to a smaller width though. I tried to widen the feed by pushing it outward, but it wouldn't budge with a normal amount of force. But to make the paper feed narrower, in fact a gentle push suffices. I looked online and no one was really talking about this except for 1 person who complained that it did not actually fit 8.5 inch paper. What solved it was looking at the digital instructions on the screen on the printer. In fact you need to use way more force than normal to push the bracket outwards. In my printer I heard a small snapping sound to get the bracket outwards which normally would sound like a bad sound.

Perfect for home office, Homeschooling, or small business. Not too loud and works quick.

Its a good printer for the price. Fairly good on ink. As far as the features go its pretty basic. Have had some issues connecting to it to print and have had some major issues with the scan to computer feature. I downloaded the HP software to try to repair it with no success. Other than that its prints good quality and at a acceptable speed. I would recommend this product to a friend or family member

At a very affordable price, the HP Office Jet 3830 fulfills all of our at-home printer needs. For personal use, use it to print numerous helpful items, copy personal documents, or fax documents to others. For children, it provides the means to prepare research, print information, prepare reports, insert graphics and charts, etc. Glad to have it!

For an inexpensive printer, I think it is great. I had no problems setting it up or loading the ink. It prints great.
