However, today it stopped connecting with my laptop for scanning even though both are connected to the same WiFi. I can still scan using my phone though. The ink program is very convenient but quite confusing. I used the free trial to start but I received an email informing me that I went over the plan I chose when signing up even though the number of pages is still below the free trial that has not expired yet. Waiting for someone at HP to answer the phone (on hold for 25 min now)...

Sometimes there is malfunction with link between printer and smart device. However, issue can usually be resolved with power off and on. So that can be inconvenient; but overall it scans great and works well. Ink use volume is acceptable. Cost of ink not cheap, but not crazy, and colors and black are separate cartridges. Thus you can conserve colors by printing black and white.

Good Printer - Great Price

I did have to re-boot my laptop once during the driver install. It hung. After the re-start everything went smoothly and the printer just jumps up and runs - connected to my network without issue. The apps that come with make things easy. I don't do a lot of printing, so I didn't need a lot of printer. This one is perfect, and the print quality is excellent. HP makes good stuff. This is an excellent printer for the price.

Great 2nd printer for family use

It's easy to setup and it connects using HP Smart app so every device can print to it. Using this te h I don't have play IT tech to my family. Just install and print. I should mention this is my 1st experience with the HP Instant Ink and it is easy to use and economical. You subscribe base on expected usage, your printer reports sheet usage and HP automatically ships you ink. Overall a great choice for a family printer.

Fairly good printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I almost returned this to the store because it showed an error message within 24 hours of being connected to my Win10 computer. Hewlett Packard knows about the problem and has a fix on their website. It has been about a month and the printer is working fine. Please note that this printer is quite loud when it operates, but overall the quality of print is well above average, in comparison to my other printers. Haven't had it long enough to know how much ink it uses. I like that it connected effortlessly to my network and everything can use it.
