Printer in great, insta ink plan not so good

I can use 15 print jobs free and after that pay for every group of 10. Problem with that is the printer must stay on to record every time I use it. I don't use the color printer everyday and do not keep it on, so even if I am within 15 copies / month I get charged because I believe it groups several months together as one when I do turn it on.
