I'm very pleased with my purchase ,not being a tech guy I required help from the "Geek Squad" during printer setup... Runs very well for what it is. The ink cartridges are pricey and I recommend buying the xl size to avoid delaying mass printout tasks! For what I need it fits perfectly.PS/ The Geek Squad Service is the best for folks like me that can't setup a wireless printer. Yeah "GEEK Squad! I would rated this item higher If the set up was easier for me. Yes, I would post a 5 star rating. Oh and bye the way this unit features auto loading fax , scan and two sided printing with web alerts on ink levels and offers for ordering more,..

I ordered an "open box" MacBook Air online and was pleased by the discounted price and how timely it came in the mail, getting the shipping updates as texts on my phone. However, when I turned it on, it was still set up for a previous owner. The charger even still had a sticker on it with the previous owner's name. It had not been factory reset so I had to make an appointment with a "Geek Squad" and drive 50 miles to the closest Best Buy store to have them factory reset my laptop for me. It should have come to me ready for me to use and, even though the staff at the store was extremely helpful and good to work with and I ended up being able to have supper with a friend while they worked on it, it became over 3 hours of time I had not planned on being out of town, etc.

      Hi Melin,

It's unfortunate that while the setup was easy, you are having these troubles with print quality. I understand this must be quite inconvenient, so let’s see if I can provide you with a few helpful suggestions to help remedy this.

What I'd recommend is following the steps listed in this guide, as it will tend to the issue of the printed lines and odd color output: support.hp.com/document/c05076934

If what I've recommended doesn't seem to help, please reach out to us for further support. We're always here and want to make sure that your printer is running optimally and ready for all your printing needs. I'm surprised at how easy this printer was to set up/install. I've only had it a few weeks but prints easily and produces good results. It's a little bigger than my last printer so be prepared it takes space. The only complication I encountered was it wasn't feeding paper through without wrinkles and stopping. I finally opened the whole unit and found a little round --- half inch white lid-looking piece. It doesn't appear to have come from the printer but somehow found it's way inside and was stopping the paper from feeding. Once I took that out, it works just fine. I've also used the copy function and it works very well. I don't anticipate using the fax on this machine so elected not to set that part up. I only deducted one star for the spare part found inside.

Good Printer - Instant Ink service makes it great

I've owned HP inkjet printers for years now. Originally I didn't like the "multicolor" cartridges because you had to replace all colors even if you were only out of one. Then they finally started using individual cartridges; only problem with that is the fact we don't do high volume printing at home. Every time the printer cycles it does a cleaning and wastes ink. I cannot say how many times I've had to buy new cartridges because they were empty due to cleaning cycles. Now HP has their instant ink service. For about $3 a month I get 50 pages of printing, and they send me any ink I need before I need it. I would typically have to purchase full sets of ink about twice a year, now for a quarter of that cost I have all the ink I might ever need without having to go to the store.

    Printhead problem

I have had this printer for less than a year. A message indicating "There is a problem with the printhead" has popped up. I have done everything the HP website suggested. I have changed/cleaned every ink cartridge, used the generated scan page to align the printheads, plugged and unplugged the power cord, had conversations with their HP virtual assistants and finally as requested, put in a repair request, (which no one responded to). And STILL...the message remains and I cannot print. It cost $75 to repair and $80 to buy a new one. Haha okay.

    Average product, lousy service

I have had the printer for about 4 months now and it is working OK except for scanning. Their forum was no help and finally i got an email saying as much and gave me a phone number to call. When talking to them their line continually breaks up (do they think we will get frustrated and hang up?). Several times I had to ask the agent to repeat. BUT WAIT, the big issue is that the agent says he could not help me and a technician would call me back. Never happened. I have gone through this cycle several times with this device. The quality of HP service has always been bad. A number of years ago I had HP desktop and printer each with issues, never solved. Swore I would never buy HP again. Several years later, i have and regret it.

    Keeps on disconnecting

I was really excited about buying this printer. Once I try setting up at home, my printer did not want to connect with my IMac computer. I spend 1 hour and 35 minutes with the customer service to help set it up. It never did connect. I ended up trying to sync it with another computer and it finally worked, but it keeps on disconnect and I have to turn it off and on so it can link up again. Won't print more that 5 minutes of being connected till I have to turn it off and on. Needless to say I returned it 2 days later.

I installed this printer for use in a home office. The office regularly uses Windows and Mac computers for printing and scanning as well as iPhones and iPads. This machine has been performing like a champ and I appreciate the reliability. Hint: Get the HP Easy Scan app for Windows and Mac. It is free, fast, and really easy to use for scanning documents, receipts, business card, multipage documents, etc. Once scanned you can crop if desired or make other adjustments, then export to single or multiple page PDF's, single images, etc. For the iPad Pro or iPhone, the HP AiO app is an excellent companion for this HP printer. This app is also free.

I had this product about 3 weeks. It's been used as a printer and scanner. The speed is about 1.5 the speed of my 4500 and the quality seems to be the same. I am not a techie so I had reservations about installing as a network computer, but I did. Now at least once a day, the printer goes off line and I have to go thru a process to get it connected. I've used 3 methods and I now use the process that takes the least amount of time. I don't know why this happens and there are no instructions to investigate to tell me how to stop the drop, so I just take t 2 - 3 minutes to bring it back. My fear is that one day it will drop and I will not be able to get it back. But don't forget, it can be installed as USB attached and it is a very good printer and scanner.

I've used Canon printers for years, but after the last one I purchased was of low quality I switched to HP. However, this HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 is truly awful. I've only had it a bit over six months and it uses ink like nothing I've seen. The bad part is that I rarely print something and when I do the quality is poor. So then I must use the utility to clean the cartridges, usually more than once. More ink is used cleaning the cartridges to get a legible printout than for the actual printout. Guess I need to find another brand.

My old Konica-Minolta laser printer was giving up the ghost, so I needed a replacement. I've had Canon and Epson inkjet printers in the past, but dried up cartridges and costs sent me into the laser camp (quite happily, too). Now, printer costs are so low, and the quality of the printers is so good, I had to look at them again. The all-in-one features of this printer are great (the scanner is good for documents, but forget about scanning photos). The setup is easy. I love duplex printing and the print speed is good. The photographic prints are excellent! This printer can't be beat for home use. I also subscribed to HP Instant Ink. A very flexible and cost effective plan.

Considering all of the options for color ink jet printers that have multifunction capability in the $100 or less price range, this one was a great option. I trust HP and this was the middle option (there's one step less and one step more) and the difference was either on paper capacity or something else. The HP ink subscription program seemed attractive but read carefully as it's like a cell phone plan and when you go over your "pages" you end up paying more. It's not a a flat fee, pay as you go system so I stuck to just buying when I need. Overall the quality and speed is good. Can't speak to the scanning features yet as I rarely use the scanner however if you just need to print Office-type documents, this is great.

So far so good with this printer. I've always been a big HP Pribter fan. But the last 2 that I bought have left me wondering. I bought one and it messed up within days of purchase. Took it back got another the same model. It lasted 3wks. Then it just quit. So I took it back to BestBuy and gave it one more shot. Looks like this one is going to work out. I wanted a simple ink jet that didn't cost an arm and a leg to replace the ink cartridges. I wanted fax, document freedobg and double sided printing. And I wanted iOS compatibility for my phones and iPads. This one fits all those and prints nicely. My faith has been restored. Kudos go to BestBuy for taking the other 2 doa printers and refunding my money w/o a hiccup.

Read many reviews before purchasing. Printer not "Easy" to install. Tried the standard internet installation, and failed two times. Finally after uninstalling both times, used installation disk. Sill had to call HP to help install. Issue was the HP software would not recognize the AT&T U-Verse modem. Took two hours of HP Tech" to resolve, but she was excellent working through all the sub-issues. After nearly 3 months, we are still trying to get all the HP software upgrades installed. Also, as we don't use this printer heavily, every eight to ten times we turn it on, it goes through an adjustment search that takes several minutes. Other than these annoying issues, the printer works super fast, copies, and scans well.

My 8600 series HP all-in-one died and I got this in a hurry. So far, it has been fine, just as good as its "better" predecessor. I made time to read a lot of reviews and also talked with in-store BB clerks, who were particularly helpful in narrowing choices. A few more printed instructions about setting up my networked laptop for wireless printing would have been helpful. (They have pictures not words!) Printing/scanning/copying are all trouble-free. The HP phone support was excellent in setting up the new-ish Instant Ink program. (I had done it online but it did not go through properly.) I am giving it 4 stars, not 5, because my HP printers usually die after a couple of years.

Been using this printer for a couple years now and I’ve been quite impressed with it. I only use it wirelessly and it prints fast and quiet. Holds a lot of paper and everything looks great when it’s printed. I can only give it 4 stars because of one minor issue. The printer doesn’t always connect to or recognize my phone. Or my phone doesn’t always connect to the printer. I’m not sure if it’s my iPhone or the printer but I occasionally will have to turn the printer off and back on once or twice until it will recognize my phone. Other than that...super impressed with it so far.

This was an easy decision that needed to be made quickly. The price was right but what is always more compelling is my long history of satisfaction with HP's printer line. HP and I had a short tense period but the truth is that the alternative was quite disappointing. This HP 6968 is a great product. As always, one must qualify the targeted product with the intended usage so that the experience can be fairly assessed. it is a Web printer in addition to one's daily basics of printing, copying, scanning and faxing. I am confident that you too will agree.

I needed to upgrade my printer as I purchased a new computer and my old HP PhotoSmart Printer was not compatible. I was so impressed with my PhotoSmart that I contacted HP directly to find an equal replacement. Customer Service pointed me to this one. I did not care for using it wireless as my internet connection is shakey at best. Since my new computer does not have a DVD player, I contacted HP's Customer Service and they downloaded the installation and drivers for me at no charge. This is the third HP Printer I have owned in the last 20 years and not only do I like their product, they are economical in ink useage. I mostly print on draft and am pleased with the quality.

I bought this printer because of all the great reviews it had, but the major problem I have with it is that the touchscreen essentially sucks. You can barely press anything on it and it freezes way more often than it actually works. Most of the time I have to restart the printer just to get it to print off documents, which is a major inconvenience because when it turns back on, it usually has long updates to do. Other than that, the printing quality is good and its decently fast.
