HP did not provide accurate, detailed installation instructions. HP wanted to charge for installation. Best Buy offered no help unless I purchased installation from the Geek Squad at a cost greater than the cost of the printer.

      Hey there,

I'm so sorry that you were misguided by the instructions provided during the setup process! I understand how frustrating this must have been. This is far from the reliable experience we aim to provide in regards to printing and support, so I regret that we fell short.

First, I do want to clarify that there is absolutely no charge for support (including installation) during your 1-year warranty period. Unfortunately, support feedback of the nature you described is often linked with disingenuous companies or individuals.

With everything said, I do want to connect you with our genuine support team. They would be more than happy to help you through the printer setup process, so don't hesitate to reach out. You can give them a call at +1 800-474-6836 between the hours of 8 am - 9 pm ET. To expedite the process, you can gather these beforehand:
      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Your case number (from prior contact with support)

We look forward to making this right and again, my sincerest apologies.

I love the printer and the quality of print. My only bad remark is that it claims duplex scanning, but it is manual and not automatic

This is truly a plug and play printer. It works well and communicates with our other devices. Only suggestion is that the instructions don't explain the communication that requires the printer to have its own email address.

I purchased OfficeJet Pro 6968 Wireless All-In-One Printer as it had capability to scan or copy documents into USB and cards. Best Buy documentation say devices are supported, but there is no place I can find it in printer. Please HELP.

      Hi there,

I'm so sorry that you're having to take the printer in for repair after only two uses. This is incredibly disappointing to hear given that we always intend on delivering a reliable and long-lasting printing experience.

Alternative to repair, I do want to assure you that we have other post-warranty support options for you. One you might consider is posting the details of this issue on our support forums. There's an active community of seasoned experts that would be more than happy to work with you to get your printer running as it should be. For access to this, you can visit the following link: hp.com/supportforum

Despite these complications, I do hope that you'll allow us another opportunity down the road to stand by the quality that we pride ourselves on. We would love a chance to make things right.

      Regards,

I still have not got it to set up completely with my MAC causing extra steps to print form the computer. I must need to read the manual to figure out how to get the print selection to be less complicated. The old model you just hit the print button unless you wanted to select 2 sided, different number of copies etc. I hate reading manuals and a printer should be simple.

Essy to set up, fast, good quality and inexpensive. HP support is very good. User guide not included and this is a short coming. Going online is not satisfactory.

Product was easy to set up and install. Followed instructions on WIFI connectivity and scanning and was up and running in about an hour. Interior package instructions were minimal and some of the diagrams were sometimes difficult to interpret. All in all I consider it a good purchase.

Fast printing and great scanning. Only flaw so far was that it has manual 2-sided scanning. Ended up returning it for a higher model. But overall great for printing (and one sided scanning @@@@@@@

Little slow on setup but figure out . Quick response on usage better to leave on. Not sure that I understand the auto paper system very bulky on instructions. Sounds like a good idea for reorder but not a good set of instruction. O

My 8600 series HP all-in-one died and I got this in a hurry. So far, it has been fine, just as good as its "better" predecessor. I made time to read a lot of reviews and also talked with in-store BB clerks, who were particularly helpful in narrowing choices. A few more printed instructions about setting up my networked laptop for wireless printing would have been helpful. @@@@@@@@ They have pictures not words! @@@@@@@ Printing/scanning/copying are all trouble-free. The HP phone support was excellent in setting up the new-ish Instant Ink program. @@@@@@@@ I had done it online but it did not go through properly. @@@@@@@ I am giving it 4 stars, not 5, because my HP printers usually die after a couple of years.

I had this product about 3 weeks. It's been used as a printer and scanner. The speed is about 1.5 the speed of my 4500 and the quality seems to be the same. I am not a techie so I had reservations about installing as a network computer, but I did. Now at least once a day, the printer goes off line and I've to go thru a process to get it connected. I've used 3 methods and I now use the process that takes the least amount of time. I don't know why this happens and there are no instructions to investigate to tell me how to stop the drop, so I just take t 2 - 3 minutes to bring it back. My fear is that one day it will drop and I will not be able to get it back. But don't forget, it can be installed as USB attached and it is a very good printer and scanner.

Pity me a lay person. The instructions were lacking with enough detail. By trial and error I managed to install to my home-network. Afterwards the printer works as promised, except: how to use features on my iMac which is on my home network. The iMac prints but other features: pdf, scan, fax(? [who uses faxs?] @@@@@@@ ) are not usable. Checked HP web site but no help. My gripe: why not does HP display on the packaging this limitation? I recommend to PC owners but not to iMac owners.

I needed another printer for my growing small business and this printer seemed like a good buy it was on sale. It was really difficult to set up and I'm tech savvy. There was no disc for the set up so you had to go to the internet to find the drivers to download. There were no instructions in the box. HP site instructions were not clear. It was pretty much a guessing game. I called their help site. The person logged into my computer and checked it out and then told me in order for him to set up and connect my printer to my network the charge is $99 with a monthly charge for monitoring. What's the use of having an HP Help Desk if they don't help you and they charge you for it. Was really annoyed about that. Finally took my time step-by-step and found the driver's found the networking information and finally got the printer online. But it took all of three hours to figure it out. The actual working of the printer is just ok. I have another printer from Canon same thing fax, printer, scanner. All the set up information was on the printer programming screen. It had taken me 10 minutes to set that up to include wireless setup. I will never buy another HP product again. Poor, poor support system. Would never recommend to anyone.
