3 stars is for the printer as it functioned well but had a few issues that could be better. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR HP INSTANT INK!!! THEY controll when your printer works and doesnt work and then points fingers when their systems dont function properly. HP Instant Ink has locked me out of using my own printer. There was a glitch with connection between printer & Instant Ink. Tried every trouble shooting tip possible. Called Tech from HP, he tried remotely accessing my printer log in, router log in and computer log in and still could not resolve. In fact, he made it worse! Printer wont even connect to WiFi now! Called Geek Squad, they tried accessing remotely and said HP Instant Ink had to fix it, nothing wrong with connection, computer or printer. Called HP Instant Ink, they spent 2 hours making it worse. Called HP directly, said to get back to HP Instant Ink! I asked them to just restore to factory settings, and I'm now locked out of that too! Who's taking the responsibility for this mess??? Regardless, avoid the drama and get another brand without all the fuss.

The ink cartridges that come w/the printer are really small. They run out of ink after printing only about 50 pages of color and b&w (only text). Do not plan to print a 100 b&w text only sheets as soon as you buy it unless you have additional cartridge of in on hand. After about 30 color prints, color cartridges are low the quality of the print is poor (doesn't have the right color tones). The printer needs to be turned off & on prior to a print after it "sleeps". When I send a print job to the printer when it is in sleep mode, it wakes up & keeps repeating over & over that print job is starting, but it never prints until I turn off the printer & turn it back on. It's very annoying to have to do that & takes several minutes. The ink subscription plans don't really seem to make any sense unless you are not concerned with budget.

This was a black Friday special and my old HP was past 20 years old. Hoped they would have learned something in 20 years, but not much. The set up was easy, using wireless, not so trying to use USB. Color correction is hard, if not impossible, Control panel is confusing. HP said use only its cable for FAX, but did not include any fax cable. A 4 conductor phone cable works fine. Seems to use a lot of ink, and the 902 cartridges it uses are not very common. It defaults to 2 sided printing which cost me a bunch of Postage, trying to print Post Office Labels on line. Sometimes it will not shut down and I have to unplug it . Not easy to load paper. It works most of the time.

    Good Printer But ....

This is a great printer, so far .... I made a huge mistake and signed up for the instant ink option. I don't use the printer often enough to have this service. I signed up when I got the printer and then changed my mind the next day. Huge mistake. 30 days later I get a package full of ink saying they noticed I needed ink. I had printed a total of 5 pages in 30 days and obviously this is a major blunder on the part of HP. I'm tempted to return the printer over this. My daughter inadvertently opened the new package of ink and used a couple of them not realizing they are being monitored by HP so they don't work. Now my printer won't work either. We are not happy. I have to go buy 2 entire sets of HP ink so we can print. Bad call HP.

I ordered an "open box" MacBook Air online and was pleased by the discounted price and how timely it came in the mail, getting the shipping updates as texts on my phone. However, when I turned it on, it was still set up for a previous owner. The charger even still had a sticker on it with the previous owner's name. It had not been factory reset so I had to make an appointment with a "Geek Squad" and drive 50 miles to the closest Best Buy store to have them factory reset my laptop for me. It should have come to me ready for me to use and, even though the staff at the store was extremely helpful and good to work with and I ended up being able to have supper with a friend while they worked on it, it became over 3 hours of time I had not planned on being out of town, etc.

I bought this printer because of all the great reviews it had, but the major problem I have with it is that the touchscreen essentially sucks. You can barely press anything on it and it freezes way more often than it actually works. Most of the time I have to restart the printer just to get it to print off documents, which is a major inconvenience because when it turns back on, it usually has long updates to do. Other than that, the printing quality is good and its decently fast.

I've owned HP equipment in the past, so I know the quality of them. When I had purchased this one, it emits a sound that was off putting; as if it was screaming at me. Apparently it is normal, says a representative. I love the double sided feature and how compact this one is compared to the previously bought printer that has an attachment in the back needed to do the same. There's some faults with this printer. I have to email the printer or do an air print as it cannot print with a cord or wireless; however, the other printer was able to (we would continue using the other printer if we could obtain a new print head, but it cost more than the printer itself.

Unlike my HP6600 Series, this one did not install as easily to my computer. I had to call my Tech. Support people to help me and I still can't figure out how to do Double Sided Scanning. This option is not readily available. It was one item that I appreciated on my former PSC. I tried the HP Website only to be further frustrated. When I first used it, I would get vertical lines on my scans, which over time have pretty much gone away. I am not as satisfied with this one as my last one which died as a result of not being able to recognize that there was paper in the supply tray and the cost of Repairs was prohibitive forcing me to purchase this PSC.

The printer works fine; however, the touchscreen on it is absolutely horrible. Half of the time I cannot even get the touchscreen to work (it took me 4 days to get the printer set up due to the touch screen going in and out). I'm pretty sure I will be taking it in to Geek Squad to see if the touch screen can be repaired. The print quality is good, but I definitely recommend purchasing the XL ink cartridges as compared to the regular because the regular run out quickly if you print a lot like I have to. Overall, it is a good printer and it does the job I need it to, but I would like it if my touchscreen wasn't so bad.

I purchased this printer after my HP OfficeJet 4500 failed during an important project. At first the printer was great and I eventually enrolled in the HP Instant Ink program. I am not sure if it is the Instant Ink program or my Dell, but whenever Windows updates, I have to unplug the printer's power cord to reset the printer. Sometimes the printer will automatically work after the reset, or I will have to reconfigure the printer's WiFi settings. I would only recommend this printer if it is purchased with an extended warranty.

Well it does it all except phone calls... It's alright, sometimes the wireless connection goes out for whatever reason, we have to power on & off sometimes right after powering on. It is easy to use for faxing and copies, but sometimes printing is a hassle when connection fails, maybe our computer..no it does it with our cell phones too. It's an okay all-in-one, if not level of will make more sound, found this out the hard way, but quieter than our previous all in one.

The printer isn't bad for what it cost on sale at Best Buy. I think it is a little overpriced at regular price. If you are printing a lot of pictures or documents you may want to get the next size up. The good thing with this printer is that it was the smallest one that gave you the four toners to install that separate the colors and BW. This saves you money on toner vs getting the all in one color toner that needs to be changed if you have only depleted one color.

This printer works and does what it says I wish it had something that would not allow a items to go through the top scanner because now mine is got lines I can't get rid of also it has always made a lot of noise clunking sound but it's always done that and like it's cleaning or moving there the cars back and forth always make noise so I wouldn't buy this again but good try make the next one better

I have been very pleased with the quality of the print job provided by this unit, especially for the sale price at which the printer was purchased. The only issue I've had is that it seems like the unit goes to sleep and has to be restarted before any of our devices can find it to print. I'm sure that someone more tech savvy than I could figure out what the solution to this issue is very quickly, but I haven't yet been able to fix this glitch. Not a huge deal, but frustrating.

My two year warranty was almost done and our printer would not print even when we bought a new black cartridge. Geek squad checked it out and could not get it to print so we chose another one to replace this one and we took another 2 year warranty in the new one. Be sure you take the warranty with any printer. Geek squad does not fix printers.

I still have not got it to set up completely with my MAC causing extra steps to print form the computer. I must need to read the manual to figure out how to get the print selection to be less complicated. The old model you just hit the print button unless you wanted to select 2 sided, different number of copies etc. I hate reading manuals and a printer should be simple.

My previous HP all-in-one printer failed after 1 year - just after warranty period. So, I bought this one. On sale, after coupon, it was cheaper a new printer than new replacement cartridges. My old printer cartridges work in this printer. Once a while the screen comes on and turn off until I cold reboot the printer. So, I expect this one to fail soon.

Being that many laptops today don't have a CD drive, this made set up a little more difficult. Downloading drivers, applications etc. . The printer is OK. Not great colour by any means, but to print or scan documents, fine. I've had much better hp and other makes of printers in the past at same if not better price point. Based on this encounter, I won't purchase an HP printer in the future or base my decision of the guy at Best buy.

Overall I like this printer. Wireless print feature works great! So far my only issue with it was during the setup the printer asks you to scan a page it prints out. No matter what I did it would not correctly scan the page. I was able to skip that and move on but I never got that working right.
