The scanning feeder does not work well on this model.

Unable to set up because the startup ink leaked in the box and no replacement was available.

the printer came with out cd drive-in went to exchange to another one, the store in victory, woodland hills do not have in stock or warehouse so i keep it because I need that printer for my business

Bought this printer to replace an overused 10 year old HP standard format printer. This unit functions faster, smoother, and quieter but it was a lot cheaper. I will never use the large format capability but I know my wife will. This PRO 7740 will make her life easier so to me it's worth twice the price. This is a large printer, you are not going to place it on the corner of the average desk. I have mine on a single wide, desk height filing cabinet and it hangs over the edges a little The auto document feeder does not accommodate large format pages but this is not an issue for us.

Not Best Buy's fault...but print head went bad in less than a year. Don't buy this printer.

Printer/Scanner was exactly what I needed in my home office. The optional 11x17 paper size sets it apart from the others. Easy to setup & easy to operate.

Great printer. Easy to use. I regularly use it in printing sketches & bldg plans and very economical.

Love this printer. Our old one had to be replaced so we bought a new one and it was terrible...so we returned it and decided to give this one a chance and it is great. Functions just like our old one.

I bought this printer because it can print 11X17 sheets. But its default seems to print with margins larger than the sheets I need to print, I have yet to figure out (with confidence) how to change the margins, if I can, for my purposes. New ink is expensive, so I try to use it only when printing 11X17 and fall back on my other HP printer for 8.5X11 pages. BTW for these reasons, there needs to be another option for "would you recommend this..." such as "not yet sure."

I had trouble figuring out printing larger images on heavy weight paper but I finally read online that you can only put the heavy weight paper in tray 1 and then it seemed to work -- just not on as heavy of paper as I was hoping (140 lb watercolor paper). It did it once and then never again. I just came to grips with using thinner paper and putting it in tray 1 and seems to be working well.

I was looking for a printer/scanner/fax like this. I need to print a lot 11x17 due my work so it;s a must in my home office

Printer is what I expected. Still has features I need to learn, but I like it so far

I have used this printer in the past and have been very pleased.

Technology is not my forte but this printer was very easy to set up and connect to my devices . . . it practically sets itself up. Very nice machine . . . don't be discouraged by some of the less than favorable reviews.

Because this printer can print in a larger format, you cannot make use of HP Instant Ink. Although the 8740 is Instant Ink available and uses the same ink cartridges, they won't work in the 7740 according to HP support. So, while it is a great printer, not being able to have Instant Ink makes it just too expensive and so I am returning it to Best Buy
