Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the OfficeJet Pro 9025's print quality, ease of use, and performance. Many appreciate the dual paper trays and the straightforward setup process. However, some users find the printer to be somewhat loud and on the larger side. The wireless functionality and scanning capabilities also receive positive feedback.

Printer is excellent. Had an older HP printer that we loved, but it couldn't connect with our internet extenders. So we purchased this and it works like a charm. HP makes the best printers.

AVOID Buying HP 9025 - Too Many Quirks and Flaws

I'm a devoted HP All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier fan ever since HP first started making them. Ever since then, I've owned more than 15 of them, each time buying new, upgraded ones when they came out. Each time, though, I still research the competition just to be sure that new HP All-in-One is my best option. That said, I can't say enough BAD things about this HP 9025 which I bought at Best Buy about 9 days ago. First and foremost, despite my having a hard-wire Ethernet connection between my Dell top-of-the line laptop and HP 9025, if my computer is idle for more than a few minutes, my HP 9025 often somehow "loses" the connection between it and my laptop. But that happened with my HP 8620's, too. The BIG UNHAPPY difference is that when I "wake up" my laptop, unlike all of my prior HP All-in-Ones, my HP 9025 does not "SEE" my laptop. So I have to restart my laptop or go into the HP 9025 app on my laptop to restore the connection between them. That's the first waste of my time. The second waste of my time is that the HP 9025 ADF (automatic doc feeder) can't hold more than about 20 pages at a time, max. So if I'm scanning more than 20 pages, I have to feed them in batches of 20 pages and then use my Adobe Acrobat software to combine them into one PDF. NO review anywhere of the HP 9025 mention this serious flaw. My old HP 8630, 8620, and 8600 series printers all had materially larger capacity ADFs in the range of about 35-40 pages (and my prior HP All-in-Ones could also scan 81/2" x 14" docs on their flatbed scanners - but I did read about this flaw in some of the reviews so I at least bought it knowing about this flaw). The third HUGE and BIGGEST waste of my time is that for some unknown reason, the HP 9025 often "sees" 2 different versions of my one laptop and offers me two differently worded options for scanning to my same one laptop: one option results in its scanning what's on the flatbed scanner even if something is loaded in the ADF; the other option allows me to scan from the ADF to my laptop. If the word choice was consistent, that wouldn't be such a huge problem - I would know which choice to always pick. Here's the flaw: the choice is NEVER the same - sometimes the option worded one way which I select results in the doc being scanned using the ADF but sometimes that same worded choice results in the printer choosing to scan whatever's on the flatbed scanner even if there's nothing lying there but my doc to be scanned is instead loaded on the ADF. There are some other quirks but these three flaws are the biggest quirks and flaws. DO NOT BUY THIS HP 9025 - it will waste your time while simultaneously driving you crazy with its quirks. For the first time ever, I regret buying this HP product.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has caused you such inconvenience. It’s easy to understand why that would be a great frustration indeed, especially considering you expected better based on your previous experience with HP products, so I’ll offer some information and resources I hope will help.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems, including printer-offline and connectivity issues. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

The document-feeder issue concerns me. I checked the specs on this model, and it has an input/output capacity of 500/100 sheets, so the scanning problem you describe is puzzling. Because I believe this warrants further investigation, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

I have had absolutely NOTHING but problems with this Printer. From Paper Jams to always saying there is an “Ink Cartridge” problem when installing new ink. This printer has done nothing but make my job miserable, me frustrated and is the Biggest piece of junk I have ever owned! I’m DONE WITH HP Products! Never again will I buy another HP Product! I can’t even return it now and I just bought the thing less than 60 days ago!

A good printer and scanner. It spends a lot of its life at updating itself. Many times the updates fail and I have to manually restart the updates. Updates interrupt the printing process.

This printer was easy to set up. You can print from your cell phone instantly with this printer. The quality and color is great and the cost of toners is affordable. You don’t have to feed paper every time you need to print due to the capability of this printer storing a good amount of paper.
