This printer stopped working after only having it a little over 13 months. The ink carriage got stuck and would not move at all. Additionally, I did not use this printer excessively. When I called HP for support the person I spoke with kept arguing with me that I should be seeing something on the display that was not there. Although I do have a Geek Squad plan, it will take 2 weeks for them to come fix it (you can't bring printers in for repair). This is a difficult position for someone with their own business.

I loved this printer when I first got it a little over a year ago, but now it gives me constant problems. It frequently displays a message that "the output bin is full" when it is not, and it will not print my documents. Even when I turn it off and back on again, it continues to display the message until suddenly it decides to print. It's infuriating!

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has stopped working properly. I can certainly understand why this would be a great disappointment, considering that you once were quite pleased with the device’s performance and the new error is intermittent and unpredictable. With that in mind, I’ll offer some resources that I hope will help you remedy the problem.

I can’t tell from your review what’s causing this error message, but to get further support, there are options. HP printers have a one-year warranty from the purchase date that covers basic support as well as hardware and supplies. You can verify the warranty using the following link:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

If your printer is still covered, you can contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution.

If your printer is no longer covered, you can consider posting the details of your issue on our support forums. This is an active community of seasoned experts, including some former and current HP employees, who can work with you to get your printer running as it should. To access this, visit the following link:
      - hp.com/supportforum

I hope this helps and, again, sincerest apologies.

HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e Setting this up was kind of a mess for me. The Smart app walks you through the whole setup process but for some reason I had issues getting the printer on my WiFi. I had to restart the printer a few times then the printer was found. Then I had issues inserting the ink cartridges. I’m used to hearing the click when inserting new cartridges but these cartridges did not click when inserting them or there was no noticeable click. Cartridges popped out when I thought they were inserted properly. So what I basically did was, I inserted them and tried pulling them out to make sure they were inserted properly. It made all kinds of weird sounds while initializing the ink cartridges and I thought that I may have broke the printer. But, everything was fine. The build quality is good. Yeah only good because it is made with lots of plastic. The top cover is a bit flimsy and it makes me feel like I have to handle it gingerly when lifting it open. It looks very professional with clean and simple design. The white portion of the body has a square corner and the gray bottom portion is rounded off. Start time from off is about a minute or so. That’s a bit long especially when you have to print something in a hurry. I think the schedule feature can be a solution for me with that. With the schedule feature, you can have the printer turn off or on on certain days and times of the day. There’s also a quiet time feature where the printer prints slowly to reduce the sound. The printer is not much quieter than my other printers. From standby, the printer takes about 25 seconds to print a double sided black & white document. Any print job after that is pretty quick. A double-sided black & white document scan took about 26 seconds to complete. Oh and when the printer turns on it makes a grinding sound which is kind of concerning and it bothers me that it does that for some reason. When it is printing or scanning it makes the normal printer sounds. Two sided printing and scanning is pretty impressive. Scanning is a single pass 2-sided scanning that cuts more than half the time of my other printer that has to flip the page and the same goes for 2-sided printing. It has 35-page auto-feeder. Document scanning is up to 300dpi and photo at 1200dpi. You can scan to JPG, DOCX, TXT or basic or searchable PDF then share it via text, email, Apple AirDrop and a few other methods. I like that it has two paper trays that can hold 250 each. Tray 1 only takes plain paper. Tray 2 can take photo paper, envelopes and specialty paper. You can lock the tray that is not set as the default to prevent accidental use just in case you have special paper loaded in it. I use tray 2 for shipping labels and and I find it so convenient. I really don’t see why they have two power indicators, one on top on the power button and the other is on the top left front of the unit. There’s also a WiFi indicator under the front power LED. The very small touchscreen LCD control panel swivels. The User Interface is annoying but you can make most of the adjustments from there. Using the HP Smart app would be the easier route but it does take a bit time to open up because it has to read the printer data before you can do anything. It has WiFi Direct and AirPrint. I use AirPrint for my Apple devices and it works well but it has very limited settings, no fault to HP though. You can’t choose which tray to use or print quality for instance. Wifi Direct lets you print or communicate with the printer without internet connection but I haven’t really had the need to use that feature. It also has a self-healing wifi and I think that’s for security which makes the printer less vulnerable to attacks. I like this printer mostly because of the two paper ports, quick double sided scanning and printing. The text in black is clear and sharp and color printing is clean and vibrant. That is, the ink is new but hopefully it stays consistent. The look is simple and business like and fits perfectly in my home office. Some notable tech specs: Processor speed 1.2GHz Memory: 512MB Print speed: - Black (normal) up to 24ppm - Color ( normal) up to 20ppm Notes: Using with Apple devices. HP Smart app available on Mac, iOS, PC and Android.

I have purchased and used HP printers for over 20 years and have come to expect outstanding performance and quality from them. This printer, the 9025, was my first HP printer that disappointed me! Not only is the software less fully featured then the HP OfficeJet 8600 I have used for 6 years or more, but the control screen on the printer is way to small to use and makes setting up the printer, or using the on screen printer functions, very hard to see and use. After a few days of trying to come to terms with what I see as a step backwards in capability for a newer printer, I boxed it up and returned it. Until HP makes the screen bigger, or at least as big as the screen on my 8600, I won't buy another one. Oh yeah, HP, please improve the software too. The SW on my 8600 has features/functions the new SW doesn't!

Printer took several weeks to start to print clearly. Then the scanner stop scanning clearly. It had a right line running vertically on each scan from feeder vs flatbed. Print was the same. Called tech support. Not fixable. The scanner was returned. In addition. I FOUND NOISY AND MADE MATERIALS FELT CHEAP.

This HP printer is excellent. It was very easy to set up with the app and I really couldn’t be happier. The app is really great and I was pretty surprised that it actually worked as well as it does. If you are on your home network it works so fast. I was able to AirPrint from my iPhone as soon as I connected the printer to my network. Remote printing works great too with the HP app. After setting it up with the app all I had to do was switch it as my default printer on all my computers. Such a smooth experience. Operating the printer with the on board touch screen is easy too. It seems pretty responsive and the UI is easy to understand. Scanning, printing etc. all work really well. I also signed up for the instant ink so we will see how that works out. Overall I’m an very pleased with this printer. Definitely worth it if you are in need of a printer.

It worked great until we tried to install higher yield HP cartridges, at which point the display said they were not HP cartridges. We thought maybe we got a bad batch, returned them and got two more from another store. Same thing happened to Best But took the printer back and we bought a Brother printer.

Returned it. no problem with Best Buy, still love you guys but all these companies are out of control only interested in selling ink and tracking clients. Machine would not allow set up with the cartridges they sent. I put the cartridges of same number from other machine in and it told me I need the set up cartridges. REALLY. Will not buy HP again. they are all trying to force us to use their overpriced ink only.

This printer is a beast. My wife and I both have our own businesses. We aren't printing 100 pages a day or anything but we do get some use out of it. This OfficeJet replaced a pretty old DeskJet and I really like the upgrade. Could we have survived on the DeskJet for a while longer? Sure. Is it nice to have a fancy new toy? Definitely. Setup was a breeze but it does require a smart phone. This usually isn't an issue, especially in a business setting but know it's a requirement. After signing in to your HP account (I think this is a requirement as well, but they may let you skip it. I don't remember) it allows you to email the configuration to other devices to set them up as well. It also warns you that if you don't install software on these other devices, you won't be able to print on them. But I was able to just detect the printer on my wifi and print without any real setup required. Maybe the software that was automatically installed by MacOS and Windows when I setup my deskjet was good enough to also use the OfficeJet. But the setup was pretty painless all in all. Speed is pretty good. It's not blazing fast or anything. This isn't a laser printer or anything like that but for an inkjet, I think it prints plenty fast. Black only documents take no time at all. Color adds a little bit of extra time but it's really not bad. I'm not sure how long this ink will last me yet. There's a new service where they send you ink when your printer is running low and they just charge you a monthly fee based on how many pages you print per month. Considering how much ink costs, we are very tempted to just go this route because the cheapest plan is $5/mo and some bar napkin math says it's probably cheaper annually than we would spend on new ink whenever we run dry. The photocopier/scanner is pretty good. Really fast. The multiple paper trays are also nice for storing extra paper or, I think you can put a different size paper in each tray and pick which one you want when you print (don't quote me on this as I haven't tried it yet). All said, this is more printer than we really need but the extra bells and whistles are really nice and I know there are more software things that I haven't even discovered yet. I could see this being a much better investment in anyone who runs their own home/small business and just wants an upgrade in the printer department because they actually print a lot of things. So if you have the budget for this printer, I can definitely recommend it.

I bought this and have set it up. The product had a printhead error. I called HP - no way to talk to anyone. So I went through the site, online searches, etc. and found the "fix" to make it work. It involves turning the power off, unplugging it, moving the print head lock lever, "gently rocking" the printhead to try to get it to seat, resetting the lock lever amd powering back up. Ridiculous process for a tech company and apparently pretty common problem - lots of these printheads don't seat properly and you have to wiggle it until it will. After 8 tries I have given up and I am returning it to the store and will look to buy an Epson. As a relatively technically capable person with a degree in engineering, I can say that this product is something I would avoid.

Just Don't. You would think that a 300$ printer will serve you well, but only once or twice have we got this printer to wireless print. Most of the time it didn't print WITH a wire. It's such a headache to work with this printer, and the quality is so poor, we rather take our documents to print elsewhere. Don't waste your money on ink, the resolution of the pictures is horrible.
