Customers are impressed with the OfficeJet Pro 9025's print quality, ease of use, and performance. Many appreciate the dual paper trays and the straightforward setup process. However, some users find the printer to be somewhat loud and on the larger side. The wireless functionality and scanning capabilities also receive positive feedback.

This thing is quick with quality printing. Bought it to replace one that had its printhead go bad. Smaller than the previous version I had, and aesthetically looks better too. Lots of functionality and network printing. Easy peasy to set up.

I bought this printer to replace an HP that died after 8 years. It was easy to set up although I had to delete some outdated drivers. I am very happy with the speed and print quality. It has a second paper tray I use for 4X6 photo paper which my last printer lacked.

Don't waste your money on this junk!

I have one of these printers, and it is a piece of garbage. I have had trouble with it since day one, but because of my distance from the store, I fought my way through each problem. Every so often it will randomly go "Offline" and even though the front panel display says it is connected to the network, we will be unable to print from it. Resetting the printer does not help. The only thing that works is to uninstall the printer and re-install it in Windows. I never have liked HP printers, but this was the only one I could get quickly and my previous printer had died. I will NEVER EVER buy another HP printer of any variety, and as soon as I can justify crushing this one with a sledge hammer, I will be buying a decent printer like a Canon, or even a Brother.

    Frustrating

    Posted .

It's nice when it works. Speed & print are good. Scanner is so-so and tends to scan documents in crooked. But the printer loses its mind if anything happens during the print process, such as simply running out of paper. The document is still in the print queue, but it won't restart without cancelling the job, rebooting the printer, then re-sending the job. The other frustrating thing is the constant nagging to let the printer buy ink for you. I appreciate one warning that a cartridge is low, but if I indicate that I've already bought ink, then quit nagging me! The constant pop-up messages are annoying! I really wish I had bought an Epson, but the boss likes HP. However, even his opinion is starting to change.

    Be very concerned!

Bought this printer 18 months ago. It is a solid great printer . . . until it isn't. Great looks, fast, though scan connectivity is problematic. One night it parked the ink carrier and due to the instant ink leaking, it jammed. You cannot remove the cartridge or loosen the carrier. After working with a senior level tech person or over an hour, HP very nicely suggested that even though the instant ink/carrier jam problem is a known issue, I should trash it and buy a new printer. It can't be repaired by anyone. It is used minimally as home printer though it's advertised office use. 1yr HP warranty - buy the extended warranty!

Wait 7-9 seconds before print begins. PATHETIC!

Why make a printer with a 24ppm print speed, if it takes 7 seconds before it even begins printing every time? Who in their right mind would want employees doing nothing for 7 secs every time they print??? Whoever designed this expensive piece of trash needs to be drug into the street & shot!

    Misleading Specs

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The dimensions supplied by HP are misleading. While it is 15.6" deep, the power cord connects to the way back of the device and sticks out another 1.5". By way of contrast, the network cable connection is recessed and does not impact the dimensions. I bought this specifically to fit in a tight space and it does not. Very disappointed. This is a rookie mistake for a company as big as HP.

    So NOISY Bad Software

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After many Canon all in one printers I gave this HP a try. The racket this unit makes to print just one page is over the top. The scanning software is way too simplistic for business needs. I was unable to set up the default folder for scans to go to because i could not "guess" the correct path. The software should let you BROWSE to the correct path. This was not worth $229. It prints nice but that is ALL it does well.

      Hi there.

Thanks for the review and feedback. While I'm glad to hear you like your printer's print quality, I’m sorry to hear you’ve encountered trouble with noisy printing and the scanning function. Your descriptions indeed sound frustrating. Given that, let’s see whether I can point you toward some helpful resources.

First, you can find troubleshooting guides (including one on scanning issues) as well as user manuals, video tutorials, software updates and other materials for your printer here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-9020-all-in-one-printer-series/23918456/model/23918457

You also might find some workarounds or additional information on scanning in these documents:
      - Windows: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03466081
      - Mac OS: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04788799

I’ll also offer some explanation about the noisiness. While your printer is powered up, it makes sure that the nozzles are regularly cleared, which can be noisy, especially if the printer is on a hard surface. If you’ve not done so already, I recommend placing the printer on a padded surface to muffle the vibrations that occur.

If these suggestions don't seem to work, please contact us directly for support. We'd be happy to help you further: hp.com/contactHP

    Connection Not So Much

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Things may improve but here is the deal so far. Got the printer home, out of the box, plugged in, loaded with ink and paper, downloaded the software to my computer and then tried to connect to my computer through my home wi-fi. We have two networks on the same router, one for us and one for guests. The printer saw both at max signal strength. Tried to connect the printer to the one for us and failed. Tried the guest network and it connected but my computer is on the "us" network so could not connect the computer and the printer because they have to be on the same network. Got on chat where I was told that there was some issue with the network that I would have to get our network service provider to address but not to worry because I could connect through the "guest" network. So I went back to my computer, switched it to "guest", verified that the printer was also connected to "guest" and proceeded as instructed. Again no connection. Back on chat where I was told that the same network problem applied to both networks even though the printer would connect with one but not the other. So on Monday I will call up our network service provider but in the meantime, at least I can hook up by cable, right? Wrong! After searching all over, I could find no cable nor any information either about whether a cable was provided or not or what kind of cable was required. Back on chat a third time and was told that I had to buy a cable and what kind to buy. Ordered from Amazon. It will be here sometime next week. Oh and, by the way, the instructional material in the box is next to non-existent and the stuff on the internet is terrible. Good news is that, in this Xmas season, I can return the darn thing until mid-January but still hoping that we can work this all out.

complete piece of crap compared to the 8036

Terrible piece of plastic that is loud, slow, chintzy and the printing quality is abysmal at best. Forget scanning- it cuts off bottoms, tops, will only scan a few pages if that! If you can send a document directly from computer it may be presentable but otherwise it is horrible....….I never do these reviews but want to warn others. I only had to replace my 8630 due to print drivers breaking after lots of use- they are almost as expensive to replace and it doesn't always fix them! I may hook my 8630 back up just to scan! This was the step up model....HP just wants to sell ink now.

I bought this printer to replace an Officejet 8600 that I really like. I only wanted to replace it because the document feeder stopped working. This printer is a big disappointment. All of the menu options are gone. It will only scan to a photo format. Jpg etc. No PDF option. All of the photo printing options are gone. It's one size fits all. Unfortunately, by the time I figured all this out, it was to late to return it.

This printer is junk, and in no way is it a replacement for the old HP 8600. I had my 8600 for over a decade. I returned the 9025 after 48 hours. The whole new line from HP (8025, 8035, 9015, 9025) feels incredibly flimsy. Even the new square corners look much more breakable than rounded corners of the older models. My old 8600 Pro had two interchangeable, robust paper trays, each capable of handling up to 250 sheets. The 9025 has one paper tray that takes up to 225 sheets and labeled “for plain paper only”. The second tray says it can handle 60 sheets. It has no mechanism to hold the sheets in place, and probably works only with stiffer photo papers. Amazingly, the tray that receives printed pages does not allow then to lie flat. The automatic document feeder says can hold 35 sheets, but looks like it would take closer to 15. (The 8600 could handle 50.) Most astounding of all, I when began to follow the instructions for downloading the printer software and clicked on “install on my computer”, I immediately got a “not found” error from the HP web site. When I called HP, the technician connected to my computer but was unable to install the software after AN HOUR of trying. (I am running a perfectly ordinary Windows 10 PC.) I returned the printer the next day.
