Love this laptop, fast, light, great screen. Continuous use since purchase and still works like new.

Great gaming laptop. I’ve been able to run AAA games flawlessly and is fast for school too. Giving it a 3 stars though because of the buying experience. Traded in 2 laptops towards this and when I opened the box, the unit was tampered with (An old Lenovo laptop was in the box and packaging was damaged.) Best Buy was able to replace that for me with an actual HP Omen. If you’re buying this and other “value” laptops, beware of things like this as the manager told me it is pretty common.

I bought this laptop to handle video editing. So far very happy with the speed and performance. Good bang for the buck!

I like it, I got it for around 1200 with tax and it's been working great. The battery gets drained quickly, but I do have a bunch of background stuff open. It's been really good for not slowing down despite the background apps I have running like wallpaper engine. I am not the hugest fan of the lack of ports, but what you going do. I also don't like the fact that it's been a pain to find a official 200 watt cord. But over all it's been really nice. The hinges also can cause the laptop screen to fall when I have it open less then 55°, like when I'm mirroring it to a tv.

i must say im very impressed with this gaming laptop, with the power its packing, ive never seen a gaming laptop run this cool under load. the only miner complaint is a little back light bleed, no big deal, ill take that any day then having high temps. my temps are around 27c to 35c idle, and 50c to 75c under a heavy load. buy this laptop, you wont regret it. hp really got it right in 2020. thanks hp.

Bought it for the purpose of using it for creating music through pro tools and have had it constantly stop working mid program do to the program pushing the cpu to much. Which is sad considering I bought this laptop after my 13 year old one broke which had an i7 in it as well and has never had this issue. For gaming though it’s not too bad a lot of fun and the laptop has gotten me through a lot of situations and saved my skin plenty for the work that I do.

Bad quality camera plastic for build quality but good performance good screen high refresh rate and good at playing games of course 250 fps in fortnite low settings.

I’ve had this laptop almost a month now and I’m very happy with it. It took me a while to review different laptops before buying this one and I’m happy I chose this one. It’s perfect for the games I like (sims 4, planet zoo, planet coaster). I’m also using it for work and I love how quick it runs. I also like the option to expanded the memory. Which I will be doing soon just to have extra.

This laptop has played everything I’ve ran on it without issue. I do recommend a cooler it does get quit warm under a load

It was very easy to start using very fast and the graphics were clear. I would recommend it to anyone. The store associate was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Build quality: 9/10 the lid is made of a quality plastic and the base is aluminum. Very little flex or creaking on the chassis, feels extremely solid. Screen can bend more than youd expect. The trackpad can wobble on the left side and is made of plastic. Performance: 9/10 with an i7-10750h and rtx 2060 in my model, performance is top tier for a laptop whose base is less than an inch thick. Has a 300hz display that works well in any game you can manage to get 300fps in, this machine is a 1080p 120fps maximum build however. Size: Not thin and light, but still very portable and fits in most 15.6" laptop bags with a bit of a squeeze. Ugradeability: 9/10 can upgrade both ram slots to 16gb each and both m.2 nvme ssd slots to as high as you need. Would've been nice to have a 2.5" bay, buy I understand it was removed for a bigger battery. Battery life: 3/10 intel cpus are NOT power efficient. I average 3 hours doing very low performance workloads. Watching videos can easily drop to 2 hours or less, gaming just an hour. Get the AMD model for better battery life. The only reasons I bought this model over the AMD variant were the RTX 2060 option and Thunderbolt 3 port. Both were necessary for my applications and future use. If you dont need either of those, get the AMD variant and save LOTS of money for equivalent performance and longer battery life!

Great gaming laptop. Its fast, great graphics, and light weight. I just got it for the Microsoft flight simulator game. Therefore I went with a desktop.

My son was beyond elated when he received this laptop for his birthday. We had been searching for months to find a laptop even worthy. The refresh rate on this laptop was what sold him. It does run hot so I would recommend purchasing a cooling fan but other than that works great. He has a PC at his dad’s but for he loves his laptop even more. He’s able to game on the go!

An run any game at 1080 ultra settings. The 300hz is fantastic. Fans can get a little loud but with the hardware inside you can’t expect any less.

was a little disappointed the missing items were not listed. for example, it did NOT come with a charger. it should have specified what items were missing

Love this thing. My last laptop was a piece of garbage so moving to this is like getting out a golf cart and into a Bugatti. The value of a high refresh rate screen cannot be overstated, everything feels so smooth and looks so crisp. Combine that with an i7, 16GB of RAM, and an RTX 2060, and you have a more than capable daily driver and a really solid gaming machine. At around $1500, this thing is an absolute steal considering that a similarly specced machine from a different company could easily be $1700. Cannot recommend this laptop enough.

Love it so far will run games and programs nicely. Had to get a cooling pad so it gets good airflow on lap otherwise it gets hot quick

Literally bought this so I could play games online with my son. I didn't want to spend much, but I was looking for a few specific features like Thunderbolt 3 to future-proof my purchase. I figured I'd have to spend $2000 when I found this HP OMEN. The GeForce RTX 2060 was a bonus. The laptop performs very well for the gaming I'm doing (Overwatch, Fortnite). My wife even plays Tropico 6 on it which my 2013-era Dell enterprise-grade laptop couldn't handle. I only wish HP had included the number pad on the keyboard. Otherwise this is perfect.

Strong laptop for the price. (Bought when $300 off) The battery life could be better and the cooling fans can get a little loud however.
