I love my new laptop, and regardless of how it might be an introductory or even slightly more than introductory for a gaming laptop, it's a major upgrade to me, and it performs beautifully. The display feels a little low contrast compared to my desktop monitor though, but I believe I can find a way to fix that myself.

graphics are wonderful, processing is amazing. but the fans are way too loud for me. AND if anyone can figure it out. . .why does the laptop lose power even after shutting down? Screen is and ok screen no the best. wish it had a number keypad to the right. If plugged in, full settings, and headphones on this is an awesome Laptop.

For gaming, I usually connect this to a 1440p monitor. The RTX4050 features make it possible to run most games at higher settings without issue, with a few games running better at maxed settings for 1080p. For work and school purposes, the 144hz display on the laptop itself makes it nice and easy to work quickly. Lastly, the larger display looks great when playing games.

This laptop performs amazingly in terms of fps across all games i've played. I highly recommend you cap the fps to at most 3 frames below the 144-refresh rate if your having problems with screen tearing. The only problem you might run into is the fan noise which gets loud when you are running extensive tasks like a game.

I got this laptop around a year ago. I have already replaced it. The laptop overheats a lot!! I had to delete a bunch of stuff and turn on battery saver because otherwise it heats up and literally burns. It also weighs like a brick which makes it impossible to use outside my home - defeating the whole purpose! It was fine at first but honestly now that I'm starting college I just switched back to Apple. I barely got to play games on this laptop, so whats the point? Also, the battery would die so fast! Literally had to keep it plugged in to use it for more than an hour.

a great laptop, no complaints yet (after 8 months of use). functions well, although I do not use it for gaming, I use it to render 3d architectural models both in BIM software and in gaming software such as Revit and Twinmotion. One thing that could be better is the battery life and the speed for charging

Bought this for my little brother as an incentive for him to do better in school… he didn’t so I gave it to my sister in college so she can play Diablo 4, Tekken 8 and Baldur’s Gate 3. It was pricey but the graphics were worth it.

Overall all I am impressed with the HP Omen. HP has not installed a lot of extra fluff apps. I have two concerns: first is when I turn the laptop on, it takes several minutes after logging in before the internet is functioning. I do not know why. The second concern is this laptop runs really hot--reaching 170F and higher when gaming. I had to buy a laptop cooler to push more air around the base to get temps to more acceptable.

Our first-year college student loved this as his school laptop. It was a great choice for him so he didn't have to bring his whole desktop from home. He was able to perform all of his studies and recreation gaming from one source. Well worth the price! In my technical experience working with various computers over the years, a few brands always stand out and HP is one of them. The system design is sleek, not bulky, and easy to transport. It has ample space for typing and the screen is crisp for great picture displays and graphics. For the specs, it was a no-brainer, bought this new, and so far after a year, it holds up. I will be looking for another Omen soon for myself it seems.

Works great after 3 years. Only complaint is that it's much heavier, gets much hotter, and battery life is short compared to macbook. Great for doing work and playing video games.

Writing from the product itself, this laptop is definitely a high quality product. I got mine on sale, and it's gone above what I expected it to do and runs beautifully. My only complaint would be the battery life decreases faster when running games, but that's to be expected.
