Lucky enough it still under HP warranty (I called their for replacement, since I didn't pay geek squad plan). Also the price comparison before black Friday vs now. I did learned a lesson now, don't purchase Open box items rather pay the brand new one, it pain in the butt to solve the issues. I have to admit the laptop is great but not battery life.

The sales person in the store helped us very well and clarified all our queries. We ended up buying the one which we planned on a good deal with interest free emi with Best buy card. I appreciate the store and the staff.

Hardware failure after two weeks

I decided to pull the trigger on two of these laptops because my wife and I planned on using these to replace our gaming desktops. Both laptops worked fine for a week of light use, which was maybe an hour or two of playing FO76 at night for no more than two hours. My laptop started having issues after about a week where it wouldn't stay connected to an internal display, at which I would not be able to go Full-screen either. The final straw was a hardware failure on a brand-new laptop which was surprising given the price. I will say that Best Buy let me return the laptop although I came to the store a day later. Reasoning, the rig failed on the last return date, and Best Buy was already closed for the day. Recommendation: Don't buy a laptop from a big box store, because you do get what you pay for. My other laptop still works, but I did get an extended warranty from HP just to cover myself. If your heart is set on this laptop, and my story is not enough for you, then go with the i7 version of this laptop. You are getting the same amount of processing power, and that laptop is cheaper. But, I would avoid this laptop or play this laptop hard to stress it so it won't fail on you after the warranty is up.
