We use this for an after-school kids' program. It's super fast for our online and data needs. This is probably over the top for us but we like to buy high so it lasts for many more years for us. The glowing red keyboard is really cool and doesn't strain the eyes.

It runs really smooth and the games look awesome .

I use this for work every day and it works great! I don't use it for gaming, but I needed an actual quad core for my software development. Took off 1 star because sometimes it fails to shut down correctly and I have remove the battery.

HP has really stepped up in the gaming world of laptops, It will run any games out right now easily. Very good value for the money. Competes with the more well known gaming systems. Only lacks a very few specs, but for the money its great and has enough hardware and software for everything i need....

I bought this gaming laptop because I wanted a : i7 processor, 17” HD monitor, dedicated GPU, and a reliable brand. This was on sale for $1200, and met all of my needs. I get over 80-100fps on most of my games. Very satisfied.

As indicated, this would be my first new gaming laptop and my second in general. My first one, a refurbished one, never really took to me. This one , however, loves me and makes my avatars look fabulous, as they take down the enemies of Azeroth. It also handles Facebook, email, shopping and whatnot just fine. So far, I love it!

recently purchased and have had up and running for about 2 weeks. coming from an HP Pavilion entertainment laptop I had for 7 years, so I am pretty comfortable with HP product. love the look, feel and easy operation. this is a gaming laptop, but I am not a gamer, so this thing is overbuilt for my basic use. but that is what I did last time and got 7 years of trouble free operation from my last HP until the very end. I expect much of the same from this unit. setup was a breeze and this thing has great graphics and speed. do not know about the sound as I have a full outboard audio system set up around this machine as the hub. so far this is a big step up from my old Dell with Windows Vista and my previous HP with Windows 7. looking forward to hopefully 7+ years of trouble free operation.

I didn't realize how big the was. It is so great to watch movies, videos on it. So much room for apps. It has a stand so you can set it on a table. It is a great size for reading also. I LOVE working on this tablet.

needed a new laptop which could handle everything: spreadsheets, multiple webpages, games, etc... so far it has exceeded my expectations and the hinges for the screen seem much more sturdier than my previous laptop.

I first saw an Omen on sale for 899, then a week later It was 999. I applied and was turned down for a Best Buy card. SO I went home and applied and was approved for a different bank card (and for more). 10 days later, when I received the card, the Omen was now 1199. WTH! So I started shopping online for a different Omen (and an MSI and others). So after another week, I bit the bullet and paid over 1200 for this OMEN....the 7th Gen 17" with a better graphics card. Sure enough, a few days later, this one went on sale for $200 LESS. Best Buy owned it and refunded me the $200 back to my card. AWESOME. I only play World of Warships but so far, this Laptop has been smooth on everything I have thrown at it. Better than my old I3 by leaps and bounds.

Gave to my daughter as a present. Upon opening, all the college grads knew what it was as a gamers laptop. However, since being used in college, my daughter finds it very fast and a great college usage laptop.

I still use this laptop for all my AAA gaming needs. plays all the titles perfect and when connected to a monitor and keyboard and mouse it feels and runs like a desktop.

To keep it simple, i was a lifelong desktop user that was very anti laptop. The omen changed my mind. Connections are versatile, cpu is powerful enough to play just about anything, and streaming my xbox to the omen was a snap. Love the red glow of the keys and the overall layout. My only negative feedback is the want for a larger screen than 17.3. Currently i am running a 26 inch samsung monitor with the omen.

I was in the market looking for a gaming laptop that wont hit over budget too much since gaming laptops are expensive with great specs and came across this one. I love it so much. It really fits my needs

This is exactly what I needed for my work. It has enough power and speed to do anything I need. The one thing I don't like is using a 2nd monitor with it. The adjustments necessary to make it look right for me are bothersome.
