I had previous purchased another HP Omen Laptop but it had a GTX 1050 Ti GPU. I saw about a week later that BestBuy would be selling this one in a few weeks so I returned it. You can't upgrade the graphics processor and since I had received a 10% coupon after my purchase, the price difference was only $25 more. This is is built better than my previous Omen laptop. The material around the keyboard feels metal and there is no flexing around the keys at all. The screen has a small amount of flex but nothing to be concerned about. This one doesn't come close to getting as hot as the other one. I can have in on my laptop while palying Civ VI and it won't get too hot to the touch. It can run many games on high settings and still maintain a 60 FPS. The screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz so games look very smooth and the IPS screen is really bright compared to other laptops as well. So far I have no complaints. I actually added a Samsung 960 Evo SSD M.2 NVMe to it and had windows boot from it. It is super quick with it and the installation was very easy. All you need to do is take off 10 screws and then insert a credit card to remove the bottom panel as it also has plastic clips and I had full access to the internals. First time doing this to a laptop and it was easier than what I expected. I feel for the price and what you get, HP has a real winner here.

After removing all of bloatware the laptop is faster. Screen is beautiful. Some backlight bleed like all ips panels have, not a issue though. Easily upgradable. Upgraded to 16g ram an added a 256 m.2 ssd. Everything is running nice and smooth an no overheating issue either.

This is a great laptop with fast processing and disk access and excellent graphics. My only complaint is that the laptop's battery life is only 2-3 hours. However, you can't expect this kind of processing, disk, and graphics performance without reduced battery time.

By far the best laptop I have ever owned great build quality and specs for the money. Upgrade to SSD

Bought it for the family as an additional game machine. Holds its own and then some.

So far no issues and works well. Only concern is it sounds like something is loose inside and best buy wont look at it unless I send it away for 2 to 3 weeks which is a long time for something like that

We’ve had this two years. It’s been sent back to HP twice because did defects and it ran slower ever time it cam back.

I recently bought the 16 omen laptop and I was able to return mine and be able to upgrade the the newest one it has a better graphic card and an new design with a better cooling vent with a 1 tb hard drive

so far so good added an ssd and 32gb ram laptop is fantastic.

I have the full spec machine and it runs smoothly, also I bought one for my son a with a 1070 and also runs smoothly for the price I'd advise to go with the regular i7 (not the K) and 1070 or even 1060 to save money both run perfect
