Very good desktop, but not for hardcore games.

I was looking at desktops, i got bored with laptops and their limits. Looked at other gaming or 'better than average' desktops including the XPS but somehow landed on this one. Probably because of the name and case design. This is NOT a top notch gaming desktop so stop leaving bad reviews because your 2023 game won't play on this! I had no issues with staring or using it out of the box, meaning i plugged it in, pressed Power and it came on within seconds. Finished the setup and ready to go. This is a above average desktop for those that want more power, speed, looks and mid range gaming. Yes, it's Ryzen 5 not 7 or 9, it has ONLY 8gigs of bootleg chinese RAM, not 16 or 32, it has 500GB NVMe drive, not 1 or 2 or 4TBs and it costs $750. Pair it with a 144Hz Acer Nitro monitor and it's very good. I use it for daily tasks and it does them well, eventho it runs Windows 11 TABLET VERSION. Yes, this OS came from a mobile device and it sucks. But, Microsoft controls the future, not you so not much choice there. I did have to buy a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe drive, 16GB Kingston RAM (24 total now) to make it a lot better so this is a $1000 desktop no matter how you look at it. Doesn't overheat, fans don't go crazy, because i'm not stressing it, just keep in mind that this is NOT a hardcore gaming desktop, is a XPS dressed in prettier clothing. Many people complain about this Omen; -The case has poor design so it will overheat.. -It's too slow for my VR game and 17 monitors... -It's not powering on; Did you press the power button? Give it a rest, it's a great desktop that needs minor upgrades to make it just right. 1 star cut off due to stupid Windows 11 design and limitations and NO USB-C plugs in the front, just 2 USB-A.

Great for the price! We play phasmophobia, subnautica, Internet cafe simulator and the sims on it and it runs well. We were able to purchase extra RAM sticks which were easy to install and really boosted things up. Only downside was the first one we got didn’t work and we had to swap it out for a new one after being on the phone with support for a while. They exchanged it for free and we’ve had no issues.

Ive had this computer for a few weeks now and am very satisfied with it. I am not a hardcore gamer but i do play a lot and this computer hasnt had any problems keeping up with my games. I bought it on sale so it was very worth the price, at its original i would have probably gone with something else, so for the money (on sale), totally worth it. Pair it with a good gaming monitor and gaming keyboard mouse and good times.

This pc is a visually stunning and immersive experience that captivates from the start. The graphics are impressive, and the sound design enhances the gameplay beautifully. Gameplay is smooth, with responsive controls and a perfect balance of challenge. The storyline is engaging and well-crafted, keeping players invested throughout. If multiplayer is available, the community is active and adds to the fun. Overall, Omen is a must-play for PC gamers, offering hours of enjoyment. Highly recommended!

For the open box price I got it for it is a very decent starter PC. I do recommend upgrading ram and graphics card. the 1660super can run most games but cannot hold them stable at high resolution due to lack of vram. Prime example is Forza Horizon 5, but other than that issue it is a very good PC if you can get it for a decent price.

Great PC at a great price! I do agree with the external reviews that the fans are a bit small for the hardware, but the side vents easily allow air to be blown in and quickly take 160 degrees down to ~110 in about 2 minutes. I just purchased a USB desk fan to sit on the non-visible side of the tower to blow the air in. On that note, would be nice to have some additional USB ports.

Works well. It fast for what we use it for. We are using it in an office to do graphics. I wish it came with 16 gigs of ram. Will probably upgrade it. Card is good and 6 core processor seems fast. My wife hates the white color, but I kind of like it. It even comes with a white keyboard and mouse!

Great price. Great specs. Awesome design. Sleeker and much quieter than other similarly built computers. Unfortunately I had to return this computer because it did come with a big flaw. I could not get the computer to properly sleep. Clicking sleep only turned off the monitor and and didn't put the PC to sleep. Often the RGB lights on the RAM would stay on or the front LED panel. Moving the mouse would wake the monitor and the PC would be in the desktop and not in the Sign in/log in screen where it should have been. I spent a couple hours with an HP technician who checked the computer via Remote Service. They were not able to get the PC to properly sleep either and recommended I return it. I did. I never got the chance to see if another unit would be free of that issue as I've been shopping around for another PC It's too bad that happened as I really like the way it ran and how fast and quiet it was compared to a few other PCs I tried out.

Just bought this 2 months ago and although the price dropped $200 now to $649(which is a steal) I have no complaints. I bought 16gb more ram and put in it and the GPU isnt as good as they said, it will not play f122 at all but thats a easy fix for the price, just wish I had waited

Great entry level PC. Upgraded the Ram to 16GB and upgraded the M.2 Nvme storage to 1TB and the kid is good to go. Plays all kinds of games on his 27 in 1440p monitor with no issues.

This is a very good starter gaming pc, it has ran every game i’ve tried to play, and i have had no issues. My only complaint is the storage on it, but it’s super easy to upgrade. I would recommend this to anyone into gaming.

I thought since this was an older model of the HP Omen that there’d be complications but this is hands down one of the best purchases I’ve made. I’ve run countless games on this model with little to no issues best for first time pc buyers 100%

Great for the value. Ran 4k games. Got it open box for a great deal. Would recommend to anyone getting into it. The motherboard is a huge limiter. Swap that first and go from there.
