Does not Display
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This PC is loaded with great hardware and looks great. However, I had difficulty with the PC from when I first tried to set it up- it would not display. After unplugging and plugging in HDMI, it displayed that night. PUBG ran wonderfully. Unfortunately, the next morning the PC would not display again. I eventually brought it into Geek Squad. The tecnician there stated that this was a common issue in his experience; that even after sending out for repair 3-4 times, customers were still running into issues. I decided to return the PC as I wanted a simple and reliable set up. It's a shame this was an issue for me, as I would have loved to keep this PC!

Worst purchase in my adult life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Public service announcement! Think twice before you buy from HP. If you ever want to upgrade and enhance an HP computer, know that they place governing software preventing the consumer from updating hardware and utilizing machines how the consumer sees fit. I am angry right now. . I bought my son an Omen 25L for Christmas intentionally getting a low end model so that we could upgrade it together as a project. He desires to stream while gaming. He is so excited to make this PC capable of streaming and playing simultaneously. He already records and edits videos all on his own. It's his dream to stream live. And now we will have to start from scratch. We just upgraded the RAM on our Omen 25L, Ryzen 5000, from 8GB to 32GB of RAM which should have been a simple procedure. After hours of troubleshooting, about 14 hrs total where HP support gave zero response to any of my inquiries. We found out from a professional gaming pc engineer, that due to HP's recent BIOS updates, new restrictions inhibit the overclocking to such slow speeds, our newly purchased RAM adds minimal benefit!!! ONLY 2134 MHz total!!! The new RAM should peak at 3600MHz!!!! At least 3200MHz!!! Not only does this limit our ability to upgrade my son's computer, it will never work in the capacity we purchased it for. We are now set back the $1000 for a computer that was advertised as fully customizable!!! This is rediculous!!! Worst purchase I've made in my adult life! So if you are willing to accept that your computer is engineered to be obsolete only to force to purchase again in a few years. Feel free to buy on from HP. You have been warned.

Computer needs too much attention
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this computer, unless you want constant stimulation. This device will not sleep properly. I issued the sleep command, maybe it sleeps maybe it doesn't. Often the screen goes dark for a couple of seconds, then starts up again. I've had to tell it to sleep up to four times before it does so. I have the sleep timeout set to three minutes. The computer will stay awake forever not withstanding the settings. I've tried to fix this by fiddling with the registery, updating drivers, and cussing. Nothing works. One side of the computer is glass, showing various components with "Look at me" LEDs flashing. You can turn some of them off, but not all of them. For whatever reason the graphics card and some other component with Fury printed on it feel they have to be lit all the time no matter what. I shoved the thing against a wall, but if a wall wasn't available a large sheet of black construction paper would have sufficed. Otherwise, the computer works great, but if a basic command function such as sleep doesn't work I question the overall competence of the organization.

Omen computer not a good choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 2nd HP Omen Computer I had to return. The first one had no power when we tried to turn it in. Regarding the second Omen, we hired the Geek Squad to transfer data from our old HP computer to the new one. They were great. Unfortunately, after 2 days, the new Omen froze. I took it back to Best Buy. They thought the problem might be Windows 11. To fix it, they needed to reinstall Windows which would wipe out all of my data. I run an LLC & could not risk another nightmare with this model so I decided to get rid of it and buy the HP MODEL I’ve used for years.

Dead on arrival
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dead on arrival straight out of the box. Does not attempt to start with the power button. Tried multiple outlets and another power cable that I already owned, to no avail. No obvious loose wires at either the PSU or power button box. Planning to return it to my local Best Buy tomorrow, probably to exchange for the same model and hope this was just a dud. The system itself visually looks really nice out of the box, so I was disappointed. If I do get the same model, I will update my review accordingly with the results.
